Fine diagnostician; fine doctor, fine man. Been taking dogs to him for more than 20 years. If he was an internist, I'd go to him. You can't do better.

I have gone to Dr. Carlsen for years and am a professional in the animal care field. He takes his time, manages to keep his compassion despite a very full workload, has a great office staff, and is extremely well respected by his peers. If my animals were in trouble, he's one of the two vets I would call first. And I know a LOT of vets.

We posted a negative report on this megalomaniac vet a few weeks ago and now it has mysteriously disappeared and several so-called "positive" postings full of propaganda have replaced our very sincere and accurate report on this vet and this terrible establishment. If you read this and are deciding whether to trust this doctor with your beloved pet--we beg you to reconsider! This man and his staff are not worthy of your trust. Don't hand your precious pet over to a vet who thinks they are a god. Carlsen is not the vet he pretends to be nor is his "expertise" as great as he pretends either! Don't buy into the hype!! Nor his passive aggressive behavior covered in smooth facade of kindness. He is fake and in fact we found him very frightening. If you are looking for a sincere, honest, truly kind, and superb vet--we beg you look elsewhere for the sake of your pet! We since have found a most remarkable doctor and his staff are superb. How refreshing! And our dogs love the new vet too! Stay away from this place!!!

Doc. Carlsen has been the best vet I have ever had, even after moving to Tokyo, I still visit him whenever i have a chance to fly back to LA, thanks to my friend Michael and Kishiko who introduced me to this wonderful and smart Doc whom I`m so fond of!

My two cats have been treated by Dr. Carlsen for ten years now. He has seen us through asthma, bowel, gland and kidney issues. I am happy to report that I currently have 2 very healthy 14 year old cats and I attribute that to Dr. Carlsen. He is very kind, he takes the time to explain the disease process as well as treatment options. His instincts are astounding, he can almost look at your pet and get an accurate diagnosis. I feel blessed that I found Dr. Carlsen and I trust him with my most precious friends, my pets.

I moved and made the mistake of taking my dog to another vet.. That vet told me that my dog had cancer and would soon die. Prior to moving, I had always used Dr. Carlsen. I decided to bring my dog to him. My dog did not have cancer and I enjoyed her for many years until she finally did pass away. I echo everyone who says that Dr. Carlsen is the best diagnostician in town, and one heck of a terrific human being as well. I now gladly make the drive to see him. Even if he is busy and you see the assistant vet, you can rest assured that Dr. Carslen will be consulted as well.

Dr. Bill Carlsen is the best diagnostician I have ever met. I have been impressed with his vast medical knowledge, his superb practice wisdom, and his keen instinct about animals and their human custodians. He works with you as he discusses the possibilities, and your options. Although he is very busy, he is kind about giving you time to think or feel it through. Anyone who has a sick pet, especially one with mysterious symptoms, knows how distressing this can be. I am writing this out of compassion, because I have been there, and he helped us. All of my brothers and sisters go to him for their pets, and some of us drive great distances, just to stay with him. He also has a great sense of humor, no extra charge!

I have been with Carlsen Animal Hospital for 2 years now and I'm always very happy with the care and service I receive. There are many vets I could choose that are much closer to my house, but this one is worth the drive. Highly recommended!

This is the most intelligent, thorough, and sympathetic vet I have ever went to. He has always helped me to decide the best course to take with my animals taking into account cost, recovery, and benefit or detriment to pet. He truly cares about EVERY animal that comes through his doors. And he cares about the human pet guardians, too, as he realizes your situation. And that's rare.
