MJR Theater

I love going to this MJR but I don't think I'll want to go when the Chris M. crowd is attending. I'm sorry you had a bad experience and I'm sorry for you.

This is our new theater of choice. The theater is clean, the seats are comfy and you can't beat the free popcorn on Tuesdays! Personally, I haven't met a crowd there that I didn't like.

Chris M. had a bad experience when he went to the theater, I love the MJR Theater. I have never had a bad time there. I have even went by myself late at night, and I happen to be a member of the black population, and we are not all bad. I have met some bad white people as well.

We drive out of our way to go to MJR. They have discount ticket prices that make it economical and the theater is always clean. Star theater is within a mile but that is now our last resort because the ticket prices are outrageous and the theater is never really clean. MJR people are always friendly and helpful. My son agrees--it's more fun at MJR!

MJR is a great theater. It is the only theater in the area where all the screens are in HD/ DLP making the moving going experience really enjoyable. They have wonderful theater seating with more leg room than most other theaters and are very clean. The theaters are clean like the Star theaters where before they where bought out by a huge corporation.

MJR needs to get their act straight. The movie theatre is the only place or event with alot of people in one room. And no security or ushers walking the aisles. Unlike sports games, concerts and other public showings. Last night.. there was a man and his wife and daughter. The three were all getting drunk next to me and my girlfriend. Being loud, abnoxious and disorderly. I ask them to shhh. Nothing done. I go to get security. Security does not usher them out. Does nothing! While im speaking with security. The two black females a mom and her young daughter drunk jumped my girlfriend. Before this happened i asked security to call the police. They never did as i asked. MJR needs to wake up. Nice theatre.. bad people in attendance. And no control or security measures. Dont see a show at night when there is the black population. It is out of hand. I dont recommend it.Ontop of that.. the theatre never offered reimbursement nor an apology for lack of action and control. This world is full of sick people. No matter what region you live or go to see a movie. Bad people are everywhere.

Although I miss Showcase Theater right there at 15 Mile and Van Dyke, the new theater is great. It is hard to miss at this location, but you have to traverse some winding road to get to it. When you get inside you are overwhelmed by the very high ceilings and all of the buzz going around. But there is a lot to look at, posters, games, props. Once you get your ticket you can go to the very large and accommodating concession stand. Then, once seated in the stadium seating get ready to enjoy the movie. The seats are comfortable, the temperature is just right, and the volume of the movie is also just right. A very good place to go for a movie for date night, or with your family.

PROS: Location, food, service, and more!
CONS: None that I can think of
