Big Creek Pet Hospital

My dog was a patient at big creek for four years and when she needed certain procedures they seemed to offer the more expensive options. When a cyst was removed on her leg they charged me to come back in and have it rewrapped two or three times because the stitches popped out although they knew I was a nurse and could have wrapped it myself if they had given me the bandages. The vet wasn't even the one to rewrap it. Then when my dog had some skin lesions appear they wanted to anesthetize her to remove some skin cells which would have been at least a couple hundred dollars for blood work and anesthesia, when they could have just taken a sample with some local anesthesia used which is what a dog dermatologist later did which cost me 75 dollars and less hastle of recovering from anesthesia. The staff is very friendly but I believe having their newer and larger facility is costlier. Sara

Recently I took my sick cat to another clinic. They told me my cat needed dental work, and they charged me $200 for blood work, a cortisone shot, and a prescription of antobiotics. However, I did not trust them.
I picked another clinic at random and found a great one. This one. I schedule her for dental work and took her in only to have them call me a few hours later to tell me she had advanced cancer of the mouth (which I already knew because it was clearly evident if you just looked in her mouth. And I am not a doctor.)
They were very courteous and kind and thanked me for making the decision to have her put down.
The problem is they want to charge me more money to have her put down. Presumably I paid to have a doomed cats teeth cleaned. I wonder why you would not stop at the point you discover a problem. Reminds me of street pavers who pave over dead animals.

i first found bcph about 4 years ago when my cat became quite ill. the vets were very knowledgeable and helped me make the right decision for my pet. i will never forget the compassion they showed when it was finally time to put my cat to sleep. they made me a paw print of him and i will treasure it forever. when i look at that i think of all of the wonderful people who work there and how they have blessed my life and my pets by giving me peace of mind when my cats are sick.

I have been taking my 2 labs there for 5 years. Never have I ever had cause to suspect any misbehavior of any of the Staff at Big Creek. I find them truly caring. I do not believe Dr Feagan would ever stand for any mistreatment of the animals. I would highly recommend Big Creek and do!

The anonymous "Good Samaritan" must have other motives.

When my husband and I first moved to Cleveland, we had a very difficult time finding a decent vet's office. We went through several who claimed they knew the particulars about our dogs (at the time we only had a Shar-Pei and a lab mix but later also added a foxhound mix) and upon arriving, clearly we were misled. These experiences made me feel like my dogs were merely a 'business' not the love of our lives.

We stumbled upon BGPH with one of our ferrets first, who was having weight loss issues. The amount of knowledge and care the vet showed us was so above and beyond any expectation we could have had at the time. Since then, BGPH has been at the top of our list and recommended to all we know. The loving staff and top notch Doctor's is truly priceless. Now, when we go to the office, the dogs are actually excited to see the vets rather than cowering a corner. Everyone in the office treats our dogs like their own, and understand the bonds that form between people and animals. They provide preventative measures specific for any breed, they are honest about the treatment and costs needed and have always provided us with options rather than only one solution we may not be entirely comfortable with.

I have never had anything but a good and positive experience with this vet clinic and am thankful everyday to have found them!! I would highly recommend checking out the Big Creek Pet Hospital for all your pets needs.
