Sahuaro Ranch Park

This park has been around about 20 years and is the best park you will find in Glendale. Probably the most unique aspect is the seeming free range peacocks you can find roaming the eastern side of the park. The next thing you come upon is the ramadas which you can reserve and most have grills right next to them. These are great for anytime other than mid-summer. There is a perfect softball field here but you likely have to have reservations or be in a league, they used to hold the high school softball championships here from what I remember. The sand volleyball courts are great with dedicated sprinklers to cool the sand and berms to separate the courts and keep the ball easily accessible most of the time. The playground area is extensive and will keep most kids 10 and under entertained for quite a while.
