The MIA has wonderful permanent exhibits, gift shops, and cafe but the best part is the temporary exhibits that come throught there. While the largest hall features big names like Georgia O'Keefe, there are always prints, clay, you name it in the other halls for brief periods of time.

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts is Minneapolis's classic art museum. They recently received a new expansion, the Target Wing, designed by Michael Graves. This museum is a must for travelers. Plan on spending a day or two; it's quite big! The museum has both permanent and touring exhibits. It has a cafe and gift shop. The musuem has tours and lectures. They are open every day but Monday from 10-5, except 11-5 on Sunday's.
