Taboun is a fairly new deli located on Parnassus street near UCSF. The owner, Mourice, also owns the Sunny Country Market next door. This is a really nice little mediterranean deli. The walls were hand painted. It looks like you are sitting in Egypt. And the food is good. I like getting the vegetarian plate that consits of hummus, taboulee, baba ganoush, dolma, falafel, salad and pita. All for like 6.50. Its always fresh and the price is great. Just beware of the parking situation. But at least 3 busses pass by the location.
