Murphy Park

This little park is in the heart of downtown Glendale. There always seems to be some event, festival or farmers market going on here on the weekends. It's small and grassy with paths. There is a grassy ampitheater with a stage for events. The park is full of trees and palms for shade which are permanently strung up with holiday lights which are amazing to see lit up at night for Glendale Glitters from Thanksgiving to the hot air balloon finale in mid-Jan. I do not believe there is a park restroom. I just use the facilities at the Velma Teague library.

PROS: Glendale's events central, shaded, good atmosphere with historic downtown,
CONS: can be hard to park nearby during big events, no playground equip
