My thoughts and prayer to the 13th year old girl who died with her mother in San Bruno fire. What a terrible tragedy. I wrote about this local story here: http://www.examiner.com/sf-in-san-francisco/horrific-flames-engulf-san-bruno-homes-completely-video
5St. Cecilia's is a beautiful church and has a wonderful parish of great people. I really like the how everyone knows each other and they all so friendly.
5Another church located in the upper sunset district of San Francisco. This church is a beautiful building. My brother got married in this church many years ago and the ceremony was wonderful. It is a great community too. They also have a school here from k - 8th grade. I still have a few friends in this area and their kids attend St. Cecilia's. This school was our rival at St. Gabriels when I attended there. Great memories

I wanted to have my wedding at Saint Cecilia Catholic church even though I was not part of the parish. It is a beautiful church located on 17th Ave. Parking facilities are very narrow, so it is very dangerous to park in this area. The church is well maintained, with high ceilings and a beautiful gold trimmed alter. Many people are part of this parish. Everyone is very friendly, having known each other for years. The church is also associated with the middle school next door. I was not pleased with the pastor. I asked him about a wedding venue at the church and he was very rude and abrupt. I really took me by surprise. He told me that I had to be a parish member for at least a year. I have no problem with that information, but it was the rude way that he said it to me. It was disappointing.
