French style bakery

by Laura H. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 72

They are known for their chocolate mousse and for their lemon desserts, but I've found nearly everything there to be amazing. It's great to just sit and enjoy the pastries and watch people. Prices are a little more but they are well worth it.

Miami meets Paris

by marta p.

There's something sinfully delicious about sitting at a sidewalk table in the middle of a weekday eating a pastry. In addition to affording those who like me don't work normal hours the ability to eat alfresco, The French Bakery also happens to have simple, delectable lunch fare.

The food is prepared simply, and is brought briskly to your table. The staffs is cheery, and very knowledgeable about what goes into their food, but dont expect them to pay much attention to you beyond what you need to order and sit down. Its a busy place.

The real reason to visit The Bakery is not their lunches, however delicious they are, but their pastries, made so perfectly and with incredibly high quality ingredients. They are known for their chocolate mousse and for their lemon desserts, but I've found nearly everything there to be amazing: dark chocolate eclairs; apricot tarts; chocolate croissants; and bread puddings.

The wine list is small, well chosen, and for the most part inexpensive; designed to really complement the food.

This bakery is a place that you should go for a lunch date with someone special, it is also a place you should go to take care of your soul on a lazy morning, no matter whether its Monday or Saturday. Grab the paper, pull on some shorts, and go get yourself a slice of Paris.

PROS: food ambaince pastries bread
CONS: parking
