Noah??s Bagels on Bush Street is their main downtown store. Their store near Beale and Mission closed down, which was just as well, since they would mix my order.
The Bush Street store was crowded at lunchtime. I made my order to a bored clerk that I wanted a Panini. He asked what kind. I said what do you have and he listed them. I got the potato salad and the tuna Panini.
To the cashier, nearly $8.00 poorer and then I waited. While waiting I noted that though there were people furiously making sandwiches, the orders were not all that fast coming out. Personally I waited nearly 15 minutes for my simple order.
I noted that two of the clerks took a lunch break, which I thought odd since it was crowded before 1:00 pm.
Sloppy Service: One of the clerks was handing out an order with no bag. The customer asked for a bag. He then opened it for her and handed it to her! A cashier looked like she was busily texting. Hmmm.
The sandwich finally arrived. I noted that though the tuna with pickles and nice tomato were in the Panini, they were arranged so that part of the bread had some tuna and other parts I was just biting into mostly bread. This should have been better arranged.
Overall: The clerks need better training on customer service. You pack a person??s order into a bag, include a few napkins and hand it to them. Simple. Not recommended due to the sloppy service and high prices.
If you are a bagel lover then this is a place for you. Their gourmet bagels are the best. My favorite is the six cheese. Their coffee is inexpensive but every bit as good as the five dollar cups at the big time coffee shops.

It's just simple, clean and you know what you're getting. The coffee is always of good quality and never staid (which often happens at places where the coffee sits and is not the focus of the business.
Best time to go is after the morning crowds but early enough for the bagel to be fresh.
The service was quick, the bathroom clean, and I was in and out in a half hour, feeling well replenished.
