Spa Sole' - A Restorative Wellness Spa

I've tried almost everything there. Facials, massage, sauna. The Organic Facial is to die for and the infrared sauna is just a phenomenal way to detox in 30 minutes.
The receptionists are also very sweet and genuinely warm. There's one young gal who's great at making sure I'm hydrated before and after my treatments.

It's just an intimate setting that makes me feel right at home and oozes old San Francisco charm. It's not an opulent place, but for the size of the space they've made it cozy and aesthetically pleasing for an afternoon of pampering. Low key is the word.

I have to add that I went in last week for a massage and walked out and couldn't remember where I parked. The masseuse was that good. I wish I had asked for the gal's name, but this is my third massage there and everyone has been great thus far. This place cheers me up.

My boyfriend had scheduled this couples massage for me for my birthday. We first spent about half an hour in the sauna. I have to say that the sauna is the best thing ever. I like to work out alot and this infrared sauna really loosend up my muscles and got us really ready for the massage. It also takes out all the horrible toxins in our bodies. We opted out of taking the shower and went straight into the massage room. We did a 75 minute deep tissue massage and I really fell into this relaxation state! My boyfriend must have also enjoyed it because I could hear him almost snoring! Between the sauna and the massages this is definately the best place to go. Before we floated out of there we made another appointment in the following month!

I bought a birthday gift online at Spa Boom and gave it to a friedn. First off, Spa Boom was really easy to use and very convenient. My girlfriend and I both went to the spa and got separate massages. The massage was the best ever. I melted away like butter. I also got to use their sauna for the first time and after getting a massage and sitting in their sauna I felt like a brand new woman! If you go there to get a massage you have to buy the extra time in their famous sauna. You'll see what I mean.

My husband and I were from Italy, Naples. We've found this amazing relaxing place that I would absolutely recommend this place to my friends and relatives.......... It was a WOW experienced ........... the staff were so friendly especially the owner of this spa....... it is fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The perfect ambience coupled with an attentive staff made this place one of the most relaxing and uplifting places I go to when I need some pampering...

They have a wonderful body wrap that also helped me fit into my dress when I was feeling slightly bloated. Apparently, it also detoxified my body which was an added benefit to the down-sizing of my dress size. What more can I ask for other than another visit!?!! I think I'll probably get an appointment for my mom for Mother's Day next week.

Please go as soon as you can, but be sure to call for a appointment in advance because they seem to have a busy schedule.

I took my friend there the other day and had a FABULOUS massage! I also plan to set up an appointment for that new French Sudatonic Slimming system? It is suppose to help boost metabolism and can burn 4000 calories in 90 minutes! The reviews I heard about this Sudatonic thing seems to be really great! I have a wedding to attend in July and want to look great! So I am going to try this. But most definately go get a massage there!

Pros: It is always difficult to find parking in the district but there is a parking lot half a block away!

Cons: No Cons LOVE the place!!!!

I tried a facial at Spa Sole for spa week and was pleasantly surprised. I went back last weekend to see Theresa again and this facial was even better than the spa week facial. I'm not one to write these types of reviews, but the service at Spa Sole was fantastic. Everyone was so nice and accomodating and my skin looks great. I highly recommend Theresa for both her facials and waxing. You should check out this place - it's super cute.

I have been to many spas around the city and participate extensively in Spa week to try out new services and locations but the 302 Facial by Darryl is the best I have had. He looks at your skin and knows exactly what you need. This what we should expect from all facials but I have paid a lot more for a heck of a lot less. I guess it helps that he has been doing this for 27 years! AND he is not pushy with products like all the big spas are. He is amazing.

For one of our wedding gifts, someone gave us a gift certificate for a ninety minute couples massage plus a sauna session. We both like massages but never had one together and had never been to this spa. It was wonderful! The massages were probably the best we had ever had and the people that worked there were so nice and made sure to take care of everything. The sauna was great (and it's private so you don't have to sit and sweat with people you don't know). We totally recommend this place.

I go to spas regularly so I am no novice. I was given a gift certificate a couple months ago and finally made the appointment. One of my best friends loves this place (she goes for the massages)and had been telling me I should try it out- so I opted for the facial with ultrasound. It was fantastic! I literally looked better when I left. I liked that the staff was friendly and knowledgable. This is a relatively new boutique spa and I highly recommend it.

Caroline and her staff were absolutely amazing during my whirlwind trip to San Francisco. She was most accomodating with my schedule and absolutely horrific sense of direction. On top of that, the dermasonic treatment I received was fabulous! I could shop a full size smaller that day! Thank you, Caroline! You and your staff were terrific- I look forward to my next visit out there..

As a spa-addict, I've always preferred full-service big-name spas for the little extras (lockers, steam room, lounge, etc) and usually shy away from smaller spas because of horrible experiences I've had so far. Spa Sole is different because the owner, Caroline is different. She's absolutely genuine, gives no sales pressure, and is unbelievably accomodating about reschedulings. She'd even help put quarters in the meter for you! I went to Spa Sole for a series of body-sculpting treatments called Dermasonic for my flabby inner thighs. The results are great - the skin is smoother, and even the cellulite is less visible even when I pinch the thighs. Short of plastic surgery, this is the next best thing. In fact, I'm signing up for another series!

It makes me feel totally renewed and detoxed. I've also tried the massages and also love them. I've had Jo do my massages and she's fantastic. The receptionist is so friendly - I always feel right at home.

The only downside is that the last time I visited there was construction and it was hard to relax with all that noise. I felt like there should have been some kind of discount for the distraction. Also, sometimes the receptionist talks kind of loud and it's hard to relax.

Pros: Smells great, fantastic massages, the Far Infrared Sauna is like no other

I took my b-friend here for a couples massage this past weekend. WOW. We did a sauna session first that was sooo relaxing then after a quick shower moved to the really big couples room. I was told on the phone when I booked that the massage people had lots of experience. They must have because they were GREAT! I think this is best massage I've ever had and my boy friend agrees. It's now Monday and I still feel great from it. This is my new favorite spa!

I have been looking for an esthetician who really knew how to give good facials. One that felt good and actually did something! I finally found it at Spa Sole with Olga and Theresa. Initially I tried the waxing (they use the BEST stuff- a lavender wax that doesn't hurt!) and Olga was great. It's such a cute place so later I went for a facial and it was fanatstic! Truly the best I ever had ( I saw Theresa). I'm a seasoned spa goer and this is a "best kept secret" if I ever saw one.

I moved to San Francisco recently from New York and have been searching for the right place to spa. I found it here. The spa is so warm and relaxing and smells great.

I first went there to spray tan before a trip back east and it came out great. I asked about facials and they told me they had 2 really experienced people. I have to say it was one of the best facials I've ever had.

Get the 302 Face soap. My skin has never looked better!!

I have been to this place five times during mid-afternoon. Everytime I drive over there is a sign on the door that says will be closed for the next thirty minutes. Only once have I ever been by and there wasn't a sign on the door. I recieved a great spray tan but it's not worth going there if you not sure the place will be ever open!!!!

A friend raved about the tanning and massages she got here so I tried it and I am now a regular. The place is a private boutique spa set in the tradtional SF victorian. The massage was great. The therapist was better than most I have tried and was friendly and didn't talk through my massage (thank goodness). It was truly relaxing. Afterwards I sat in something called a far infrared sauna and I left feeling brand new!

Pros: skilled therapists, variety of services, great aromatherapy

I've gone to a ton of facials the past year, and my skin didn't start clearing up until Olivia spent time on my skin. It only took two facials. One mini and one regular, and 'wahla!' my face hasn't been this clear in 3 years. I am so happy. For anyone that has had problem skin, you know that it is the worst thing in the world. Confidence level goes down and you just don't want to be as social! Trust me. This was my miracle cure and I couldn't be more thankful. Thanks to Olivia and all her knowledge and help!
Also, the tanning has been great as well. Best spray tanning I've been to East and West Coasts. So glad that I found this place.

I used to get spray tans from Brown Suger and since they aren't around anymore I tried one here. I'm so glad I did. The color was fantastic and it lasted over a week.

It was a totally different procedure than what I was used to. I was only in the booth for 20 seconds or so, then you rub it in. Be forwarned... when you come out of the booth you look like a bucket of the stuff was poured over your head. then you just rub in and they come in and do your hands and feet.

I would highly recommend this spray tan!!

Very clean place with very friendly staff.Never used the spray tan before and the girl explaned all very well to me. Got a fantastic tan that lasted about 4 days not the 14 they said it would!! And yes, i exfolited and moisturised but still didnt last.Saying that, I would go back because the tan was beautfuil for amount of time it did last.

I got a gift certificate for this place and ended up getting a great facial and bikini and brow wax. The esthetician, Dorina, was super thorough and gentle too. My skin looks better than ever..Also the wax is better than most places(doesn't hurt as bad).I got some product for in grown hairs that really seems to work.

A friend of mine told me about Spa sole's body contouring and cellulite program so I gave it a try. I really liked the spa and the treatment was so relaxing. I actually could tell a difference in that first session so the next time I was in I bought a series. I am so happy with the results. My clothes feel a little looser and my skin feels firmer. They gave me some exercise and nutritional suggestions that really helped also. I totally recommend the place as they are so friendly and really take care of you.

I came here to get a facial and spray tan (they were running a special) and both were great. The spa has such a great feel, I love that it's in a victorian instead of the typical commercial feeling spa. The people and the place are warm and friendly. I got compliments on the tan for at least a week. I will be back for another facial and tan.

I went here based on the splendora review and the recommendation of a friend and I was pleasantly surprised. I spray tanned once before somewhere else with so-so results and this one was SO much better.

It looked really natural, lasted about 10 days and the people and place couldn't be nicer.

If you want a spray tan, go to this place!

When I first came into the spa, I was a little uncomfortable because it is almost as if it used to be an apartment and then it was turned into a spa. The staff was really friendly and forthcoming with information. This was my first time ever doing any kind of sunless or spray tanning. They explained to me that their formula wasn't like others. They said that most spray tan's last about a week, but that their's lasted about two weeks. I thought, "Great". Little did I know that 3 days later, it would all be gone! For those of you who are thinking that it didn't last because I didn't exfoliate, I did! So I don't know what the deal is with it. Overall it was okay, they gave me a voucher for another tan, but why would I want another tan that will only last three days?!?

This is the BEST spray tanning anywhere. It's really fast while your in the machine and the final color is fabulous. Both times I was in the people were so nice and helpful and really made sure my tan came out great. The color is really natural.

The atmosphere and staff is so personable I feel so welcomed and appreciated every time I go! Everything was explained to me and there was no pressure to sign up for anything I wasn't sure about. I always look forward to my far infrared sauna sessions every week and I can never wait for the next one. I can't wait to try their mist tanning!

I'm an avid spray tanner and I've found this spas spray tanning booth to be the best. The whole process is quick (about 5 seconds) so you don't breath in any of that solution.

The tan lasts longer than other and I get compliments on how good I look.

I definately recommend it.

I spoke with Caroline and decided to try the cellulite treatment. I ended up doing 10 sessions and the results were great. With the treatment I did 45 minutes in the infrared sauna - so relaxing.
