My husband and I contacted this business, the owner herself came out to survey the yard& to see what we wanted done. That was ten days ago. She told us she would have estimate to us my mid week. My husband called her on thursday she told him in will have your estimate to you tonight. Nothing. I called her last night. She told me she would have the estimate to me by last night. Okay this is saturday afternoon, and no response from the owner. She will not get my business.

The owner was the representative for my landscape job, but I didn't get any better service. The job was supposed to be finished in September, but they didn't START until September and finished in November. There are still issues which need to be addressed. Despite all of my requests, pictures from magazines, etc., I still didn't get what I wanted for a five figure job $$$. The workers were lazy and there was no on-site supervision. They left the gate open and my dogs got out, left trash in my yard, used my hoses, etc. Go with a smaller firm or sole proprieter who will be more accountable. You will not be at the top of SWNL's to do list.

My wife and I are very new to Sierra Vista. We bought a home this summer and as proud homeowners, we've started to improve and replace the things we felt needed them. Once the raining started, we noticed a significant pooling of water in the backyard and started shopping for a company that could do some light grading and install a river feature. Unfortunately, we ended up going with Southwest Native Landscapes (SNL). For the amount they charged, their very informative website, and their representative, one could truly believe they were the cream of the crop. That is hardly the case. The representative was also the team lead for the landscaping crew and we later found out she was a new hire. Her crew would openly complain about her and it was obvious after the 2nd day, it was going to be a very difficult experience and she really had no clue how to lead or handle the task. The good news - rain water no longer pools up. Here's some of the bad - After cutting the Cox cable line into the house, the team leader failed to inform us of the mishap. It wasn't until many hours after the cut when the Cox repairman should up did we figure out what had happened. The team leader argued every little detail and even stormed off the job after one heated discussion. The crew damaged our irrigation sprinklers with their Bobcat. The crew didn't bring required equipment and used our water hoses leaving them caked in mud and unrolled once finished. The owner was forced to get involved and finish the task and later admitted the team leader was new and would be removed from these types of projects. The owner came to our house to collect final payment and after we paid her and told her this was a learning experience for us and she asked what they could do to make it better. We showed her the broken sprinkler, the patches of landscaping still ungraded, and the unleveled mounds they were to grade. She stated they would be back immediately to complete that work. I received a call the following Monday by SNL telling me that we were still on the list and they would be coming by soon. That was 2 weeks ago and I'm sure we've been blown off. We've hired a lot of different companies over the last 3 months to fix, install, and repair various issues and have been very impressed with the quality and professionalism of these companies. Sadly, Southwest Native Landscapes does not share this kind of business commitment and I strongly urge anyone considering hiring this group to go elsewhere for landscaping or irrigation needs. Feel free to contact me for any additional information.
