Drag queens, nurses, doctors, young girls twisting their body in awe aching positions are some of sensory overload you might experience here at supperclub. Even upon the first step into the door... tons of shiny disco balls hover over the bar\waiting area making you wonder are you at the right place?

Interesting lighting though when you step into the main room. The beds are really firm so no worries about spilling your alcohol. Food is okay at best... been here twice and a few dishes did impress me but it didn't do it for me overall. Dinner will probably take about 3 hours with half an hour or so breaks in between meals...My suggestion would be that you eat a light meal before coming to this place and also expect to get toasted as they keep feeding you alcohol. I guess they figured since I'm starving I'll probably order more drinks... they were right!!!!

There are performances during the night and it's usually a theme...I think I went to "mental hospital" night so they had a doctor running around giving people pills. One time, they played a Richard Simmons exercise video on the wall and got a lot of people to start dancing....I think my date started dancing.... so embarassing! =T haha

Fun place to go if you have a good group of friends to share the night with. Not a fun place if you're impatient and get drunk off a few drinks!

The evening starts out in the bar area. It's a decent bar but if the restaurant is full then the bar will be packed. I had a glass of wine and noticed that there was a small chip in the lip of my glass. The bar tender promptly replaced my wine. After a bit we were led to out "table" which is really this big bed. Make sure you are with people that you don't mind climbing into bed with. As you eat there is a show going on in and around the restaurant. The food is good, not amazing, but the entire evening is fun. The show and the menu changes so you can go on another day and have a new experiance.

The Supperclub is a great place to go for a special occasion, especially if you want something unusual. It's a combination bar, restaurant, floor show and late night club. The food is pretty good, but the drinks are better. You get to eat while sitting on couches/beds (very Roman) while watching all kinds of different performance art acts. It's edgy and wild and fun. I have a feeling that it's a different show (or variations on the themes) each night. You have to make reservations many days ahead, but totally worth it.

One might be tempted to say, "only in San Francisco," but the truth is, these restaurants are all over the world. Half restaurant, half performance art. A hostess with green hair welcomed us. Once admitted, we chose a bed upon which to sit for the evening. We were served appetizers in a Chinese take out boxes, a vegetable course in what appeared to be clean ashtrays, etc. The food was tasty; there were two choices: vegetarian or not, price fixe. Our wine steward was heavily tattooed, pierced, quite knowledgeable, and charming. A masseuse moved from table to table. And there was dancing to techno music. Check for "special evenings" on their website.
