Everything about our experience with California Home Spas and Patio was GREAT!! The salesman Scott Rickett, who was NOT a "hard sell" kind of guy, to the site inspection, to the delivery, everything was very professional and beyond expectations. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a spa. I'm not sure who "Jeff" is, but I must not have dealt with him.

California Home Spas has a wide range of spas to choose from.
In addition, they have a very large selection of patio funiture.
They were easy to work with during the buying process.
We have been happy with our spa since it was delivered.

Buyers beware! I purchased a spa from California Home on June 22 ,2010, walked in with a cashier's check and a week later had it delivered. The spa did not work and that was my introduction to Jeff. The spa was finally fixed and one month later the Circulation Pump blew out, I called and called, Jeff gave me the run around and finally sent someone over that charged me to be there. Two days later I called Jeff to get the order tracking number for the part and he did not have one because the part was not ordered! This is a brand new spa and the company should have respect for their clients, I have reported them to the BBB and Consumer Affairs Department, I hope that anyone who has problems with these people does so too. Please be very careful with these crooks.

Another word to the wise. My gazebo was delivered when I wasn't home, even though I told them I wanted to be there and when I got home my gazebo was swarming with termites. Yes termites!!! It came from Mexico!!! Jeffs reaction was oh well nothing I can do, just spray it with water. I could have saved alot of money if I had known water would kill termites. I have to agree with others that Jeff has a problem.

I bought a spa from these people several years ago, and its been wonderful. I buy my chemicals from them also, and the sales people are always kind and helpful if I have any questions.

I wish I would have read some of these reviews prior to purchasing a teak patio set from the above retailer. The salesperson told me that it included a sofa, love seat, coffee table and two end tables. A sofa and love seat were delivered to me. When I called to inform the salesperson of this oversight he stated that he did recall that the tables were included, however he would need to speak with the owner prior to delivering them. The other issue was that the couch cushions were dirty and the arms had some deep scratches in them. I'm not sure if the damage occured in the process of delivery or I just didn't notice it in the dark warehouse. The owner called me back the following day and informed me that I would not be receiving the tables and I knew the condition of the furniture when I purchased it. My interaction with him was extremely negative. He was surly, condescending and flat out called his salespeople liars. In fact, he expanded upon that and called ALL salespeople liars. Perhaps I am naive and too trusting, but I think people should honor their verbal contracts.

We purchased our Sundance Spa from them way back in 2001. We have used our spa at least once a day since that time. I always purchase the chemicals from them and there always seems to be a discount or something thrown in for free that makes is all worth it. Whenever I've needed assistance with the water quality, they have always troubleshooted the problem to my satisfaction. We even purchased our BBQ from them a few years back (Thermador). We need new lounge chairs for the summer and will be stopping by to see what I can find. I look forward to it.

Anyone can get better products at Home Depot for a lesser price! It would be different if they offered good quality products to justify the difference, but they don't.
