Terrible Bank with fees up the ying yang. They don't have consistent times when they take out your monies, they are absolutely terrible, I wouldn't bank here if this was the last bank on earth...I would use my mattress!

Lack of follow up, follow through led to a loan that was declined. Agency did not bird dog this or ask for added info. My first notice was a form letter. Very poor service considering I've been a customer for over 50 years!!

I have purchased homes and refinanced several times over the years. Last year (2009) I refinanced to take advantage of the lower rates and used Tom Hawkinson at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. It was by far the best and easiest home finance experience I have ever had. Tom handled the details extremely well and made the whole process go quite smoothly. I also found that Wells Fargo's rates were very competative and I'm not even a banking customer with them.
I have since referred another couple to him and they had the same experience.
Tom is honest, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and just simply a nice guy to work with. When I am ready to purchase a new home or if I need to refinance again, I will definitely look up Tom!
6/18/10 Just as a follow up to my review earlier, Tom has again impressed us with his service. He recently contacted us about a special refinance program through Wells that allowed us to refinance and lower our rate 3/8 point with no costs, nothing added to our balance. We were very pleasantly surprised by the level of service and follow up that Tom has shown. To do the refi we didn't even have to submit any paperwork and only had to go to our local Wells Fargo branch to sign a few papers--much easier than a regular refi. Run don't walk to Tom for a great mortgage broker!
