This is a beautiful brief commute, I'm very happy to have gotten to do it while I was living on the island before I moved to the city. The Bainbridge ferry is always really clean and if there's a mess or dangerous area due to the rain the employees are very fast to close it off or put a sign up. Some of the tellers on the Seattle side have been very rude to me on a few occasions. I've missed the ferry because they were ignoring me and having a loud conversation with one another inside the booth. It's a shame people like that have customer service jobs, but I'm still going to ride the boat every chance I get, Bainbridge is amazing.

This is the only way to see the stunning San Juans as well as travel to Victoria on Vancover Island. Whether you are crossing west bound to the island or east bound back to Seattle (on a clear day Mt. Rainer is awsome), the price of the ticket is more than worth it.
