Nikko is friendly and always makes sure I have all of the tea/water that I can drink.

There are not words to describe the work that Craig does --- he is a skin god. He will get all of the icky gunk out of your pores and give you practical, effective recommendations for good skin. There is not even a hint of hard sell, like the normal 'spa' stick.

Before Gentlestar, I don't think there was ever a time I wasn't conscious of my skin, even when there were good days. From teenage hormones to stress to makeup, my skin had it's fair share of ups and downs. I never left home without makeup. I spent a lot of money on dermatologists, beauty spas that provided temporary results. Finally, after an allergic breakout to a powder, I found Gentlestar. I was skeptical at first, but Craig was so thorough and patient in regards to the best solution for my skin that I decided to take the plunge and try Obagi. A combination of Obagi and Vitalize Peel revealed beautiful, soft skin. Mind you, the first month, even the second, was painful using Obagi. In the third and fourth month, I was thrilled at the texture of my skin. Very minimal outbreakouts, which healed incredibly fast, and the surface of the skin was refined and delicate with a nice sheen. Presently, I hardly wear foundation, just blush, eyeshadow, and lipgloss. No longer conscious of the way I look, I am more confident at whatever I do. The self-conscious, insecure person is gone. It feels very liberating. Not only that, I finally found a beauty professional who truly cared for his patient. I'm so glad to be under the care of Craig. Gentlestar is a gem with high-quality, caring customer service. Recently, my mother and I went in for the vitalize peel together. She was very satisfied with the result, as am I. And Craig is just amazing.

For many months before I discovered Gentlestar Medspa, I was breaking out like never before. I'm in my late 20's. A combination of work, relationship, family stress, late nights, and coffee binges were probably the cause for that. Despite trying to relax and sleep early, the breakouts didnt stop. I tried many different solutions recommended by friends to try to improve the situation, but it never worked. If anything, it made my face look worse. Soon I didnt even want to acknowledge what was happening to my face. I didnt want to see people because I didnt want to answer questions or hear people's suggestions anymore. I was even approached by complete strangers and their first question to me was, "Are you doing anything for your face?" I felt embarrassed and frustrated. I decided I needed professional help. After reading Citysearch reviews for dermatologists, I didnt think it was the type of service I wanted.

I looked at some related references and discovered Gentlestar. I read the reviews carefully to see if Gentlestar seemed like it could help me and if there were references for Asian skin. It did, and I made my call.

The office has a chic and relaxing decor. Nikko and Craig were extremely welcoming. My first facial appointment with Craig lasted approximately 2 hours. Though he had a lot of work ahead of him, he was so friendly, patient, and very thorough. He was extremely informative about skin care, giving me tons of tips. At the end, I completely trusted his suggestions.

It has been over three months now, and my face has improved dramatically. After about 8 weeks of treatment, I didnt get anymore serious breakouts. Today my skin feels softer, it looks more moisturized, and I feel a lot better about myself. I am very thankful to have found Gentlestar! I hope my review will help other individuals discover this wonderful medspa as well.

Their exquisitely hip tastes are reflected in the office decor, a mixture of brick, reflecting the history of this building, and modern Asian inspired accents. It is all designed to relax and lull you into a mood to be pampered. Attention to detail if foremost, down to the teas and drinks served, music played, reading materials, and professional services that are offered.

What I find most important is the special talent Gentle Star has on making it's customers feel comfortable and appreciated. I highly recommend Gentle Star.

Congratulation to all lovely and friendly staff st Gentle Star. You all have work very hard and effectively for this and you all deserve the Best of Medspa. Dr. Ellis is very very knid and understanding to clients. He is always open and listen to what clients need. Nikko is also a perfect person for this place. If I could give one or more extra stars, Gentle Star would have the most stars from me and I beleive that all clients ould do so.
