5 Stars: Canine Clubhouse (by Jamie L.)

I'm not sure if these other people commenting are involved with competitiors or are speaking of previous owners, but I know dozens of people who won't take thier family members anywhere else in the Laramie area when they can't come along on the trip. Our dog is a wonderful, social, extremely intelligent and emotionally sensitive malamute who loves staying at Canine Clubhouse and comes home happy and tired from playing. It's the only place we've ever taken her to where she doesn't come home traumatized for weeks and torn up around her nose and paws from kennel wires. We had given up on going anywhere without her bacause the stress for her was just not worth it. Leaving her in cramped, indoor kennels in the dark even overnight is too much - we can tell how she's been treated when she is picked up and comes home. She is friendly, so gets to spend most of her days outside playing with the other dogs. The kennels are open, clean and cool. She gets to bring her own bed, toys, food and treats. The owners live in a house right next to the kennel and play yard with their own dogs. They take pictures and answer a needy mom's calls when we're away and let us pick her up even if earlier than expected. I've never called and had to leave a message. She is always upset to leave all her new friends behind.

1 Stars: You better take your pets somewhere else (by Amanda C.)

My dogs needed to be groomed and boared while I was away. I didnt find much on reviews for them which should have been a warning sign. I dropped him off and things seemed fine they told me about their new facility. However the inside of the house was a mess and the kennels smelled. They said that they open the doors to vent so I didnt worry too much. When I came back to get my dogs they were missing fur and it could be seen that the razor where they were groomed had cut them. I inquired about this and they said that my dogs where "squirmy" and that it was my dogs faults for being injured because they wouldnt listen. Like the person above me says they are in it for the money not for the animals.

1 Stars: Avoid! Your dog would be better off staying elsewhere. (by Valerie K.)

I needed to board my dog for 24 hours while staying in Laramie, and found Canine Clubhouse on the internet. I didn't read any reviews, or ask for any references prior to dropping off my dog (big mistake!). The kennel smelled horrible and was warm and muggy inside (to their credit, the owner said they hadn't yet turned the ac on, but would be doing so shortly). The bedding given to my dog appeared to be dirty and they wouldn't allow my dog to use his own bedding. I had no other alternatives, so against my better judgement, I left my dog for the night. I was told I could pick him up between noon and 7 pm the next day, as the owners lived a 5 minute drive from the kennel, so when I called at 1:00 pm I was surprised to hear the answering machine. I left 17 messages over the next 6 hours and only made contact with the owners after I said I would be calling the police to come and release my dog. They picked up the phone and said they would be "right over" and that "something had come up" that made them unavailable throughout the day. This was just after 7pm. It was clear to me after seeing my dog, that he hadn't been let out to potty in many hours (if at all). His fur was wet with urine and his water bowl was dry. The room was unbearably hot and lacked any type of air circulation (so much for the Air Conditioner that was going to be turned on!). As I sat in front of the "clubhouse" for six hours waiting to pick up my dog, I listened to the whimpering and crying of the dogs who were suffering inside.
To make matters worse, my dog ended up in the veterinarian clinic three days later with an ugly internal infection caused by eating concrete material that must have come from his cell wall (I mean kennel).
Please avoid heartbreak and stay away from this establishment. It is clear that they have no compassion for animals and are only in the business for the money.
