A nice way to end the evenning after having dinner, or going to the movie. They have coffees too. The ices were good, lots of different flavors.

My favorite family-run panini and gelato restaurant is closing it's doors at Bridgeport Village in Tualatin, Oregon at 6pm tonight. Sad really.

This Gelato is fabulous. I too have been to Italy. I questioned the owner about how they prepare their Gelato. It's made everyday fresh. They do not use a pre-made mix like most of the other gelateria's in portland. It's Good, It's consistent..............bravo

I've been to Italy and their gelato's are as comparable and addicting as those in Rome! Great flavors to choose from (the tiramisu is the best) and the cafe has wonderful tasting panini's that even the kids enjoy. Prices are reasonable and dining can be indoor our outdoor. I actually feel like I'm in a European cafe since the last two times we were there we were next to people speaking Italian and Russian!

If you go there are frequently as we do, make sure to grab their punch card - buy 9 gelato deserts, receive one free.

Love Bridgeport, but when I am shopping....I am power shopping! Tutto's my place. It's got the style, ambiance and most of all a kickin' menu that's quick so I can get back to shopping. They usually have everything we and the kids want, and then some. Last week they were short on Houdini paninis though. I went in thinking I was going to order a Caprese and was stunned to find an entirely new menu with a panini I've never heard of before ...the Turkey, Bacon and Avocado. It was nothing short if fabulous. I've had Bellini's, appetizers and dinner at many places in Italy, including Harry's in Venice. In my opinion, Tutto Bene's Italian Cafe and Gelato Bar is second to none in Portland for a quick, fabulous and affordable European inspired respite from the economy woes of today. Good food, good people...does it get any better than that? Even their motto is positive; "Life is good." Tutto's is a little slice of Italy, if you ask me. Good job!

i recently visited tutto benne in bridgeport village and i was totally impressed with the gelato and the amazing service that was provided to me by the one or two friendly employees. relating back to that comment, what is with the attitude? besides that, the food is wonderful, the coffee is also great(depending on who is making it and whether or not they care)

visit if you are looking for great gelato and coffee. but be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting and eating.

I have been to Tutto Bene on many occasions. I work in the mall and go there almost everday for coffee and gelato. They use Lavazza coffee stright from Italy and has to be the best espresso I've ever had. The gelato is all made in the store and is always beautifully presented (although the other day there was a half of an actual pineapple on the pineapple sorbet which looked silly). The gelato and sorbet are hands down the best in Oregon and they are frequently switching up the flavors and making something new while keeping some of the originals in the rotation. The staff is fantastic. They are always eager to help and are available to answer any questions you may have about the food (i.e. "What makes gelato different than ice cream?"). The cafe does get VERY busy at times and the food takes a little longer to get out, but that is to be expected and the staff always seems to be going as fast as they can while keeping up their amazing service. They have been making some changes which I don't understand. For example, they have switched their pasteries to some aweful french pasteries. Most of them are very dry (i.e. the scones and the cinnamon rolls) or just disgusting (i.e. pumpkin cream cheese coffee cake and the coconut manderine tortella). And please, for your sake pass on the cream puff, it is aweful! Bridgeport itself has a horrible parking situation so if your going during peak hours, don't count on finding a parking spot. But aside from the pasteries and the "image consultant" who does nothing productive, the cafe is AMAZING. The cappaccinos are to die for.

My girfriends and I visit Tutto Bene often before or after a Movie at Bridgeport. This cafe is wonderful. It's quick, reasonably priced, great food (Tomato Basil, Cannoli's and Birthday Cake Gelato) are among the best there. The Staff is friendly. We would like to see you stay open a little later on the weekends, particularly during spring/Summer.

Went to Tutto Bene after a movie this past weekend at Bridgeport Village and the place was jumping. Great place to go for coffee or Gelato after a movie. We got out of the movie at 9:45 pm and just made it in the door. (have you ever thought about staying open later the 10 pm on the weekend?).

In any event the place was packed, the Gelato was terrific.

I have been at this cafe over 6 times in the last 2 weeks and noticed a big difference in the quality of service toward it's customers. The Gelato has always been fantastic, but the look and decoration has changed all for the better.

Mr. meaty is an idiot. Learn how to spell. I also understand that you were an employee who did not cut the mustard or gelato making and were fired from this cafe and another at bridgeport. So the mere fact is you are tainted and a has-been. grow up loser.

This cafe is terrific. I travel the globe and the one thing that is consistent is the quality of service and the gelato is better today then it ever was when you were making it.

i have been a regular customer for some time and over the past couple of months i have seen a major downslide in genuine service and overall quality. i remember a time when i could walk in to a smile and a welcome, now all i get is a grimise and a look of inconvenience. its sad to see such hospitality go down the drain not to mention the quality of the gelato. maybe its the new management mentioned by the previous review (which reaks of a new managements shortcomings) or maybe its the surfacing face of another starbucks, but with fancy icecream ? whatever it may be, im sad to see this once quality establishment go down the drain.

So I have been going to Tutto Bene for a while and I wont be going back..EVER. The service was just BAD, It dosent take 15 mins for a salad....and trying to pay is a joke i stood there with my cash ready but everyone working was talking and not caring to much about customers. And when i finally did get to pay the older lady that took my money was snappy! She never said hello or if i wanted anything else.
So after a SO-SO lunch I went back for Gelato, and that will never happen again. It had no flavor! No Zip! I might as well had plain ice cream. And what happen to the care that used to be taken there. I have seen a change in employees but thats no reason to give BAD service, if a company cant keep up what they started and the people that made it that way they shouldnt be open...And with that said i will never go back and i wont tell people to go.

I think the Cafe's atmosphere is very clear.......It's an Italian Gelateria.... from the Gelato, Cannoli's, Lavazza Coffee,(clear so far) to the overall architectural design and music that fills the store. (If you have ever been to Europe you would know that a "Gelateria sells many things" As for the other items,(Pastry and Salads),probably, just incidental items requested by other customers. After all it's all about what we want as customers, right.... and as far as I am concerned they do a real good job at that.

The cafe has great variety of gelato but, I was very confused why an Italian cafe is serving French pastiries and Mexican salads. The pastiries were very bland not something I would purcahse again seems as though their confussed at what atomsphere their going for.

I absolutely love this place. I have worked in Bridgeport for 8 months now and go here almost daily for food. I love the Italiano panini, and there tomato basil soup is phenomenal!! Their gelatpo is the best in the city, and i love how the experiment with flavors, like the maltball, pumpkin, cinnamon, and they have spumoni!! I also like how they have most of the same employees, is a nice touch to go in and see the same friendly and familiar people.

I absolutely love cannolis and when I moved to portland 6 months ago I couldn't seem to find good ones anywhere. One of my friends told me about Tutto Bene and how delicious their cannolis were. So this week I finally made the trip out there and it was worth it. I ended up taking home 6 more just to keep in my fridge! The manager was so helpful she even said she'd let me purchase the shells so I could make them at home. If you love cannolis or are curious to try one, check this place out.

I wandered into Tutto Bene today while shopping at Bridgeport Village. I had never tried gelato before and thought I'd give it a chance since I've heard people rave about it. I was immediately greeted by a friendly employee at the gelato case. She let me sample as many flavors as I wanted which was really helpful. I chose two flavors in a medium with pumpkin pie and vanilla. The combo tasted just like a piece of pumpkin pie! It was amazing! Each bite of gelato is so intense, unlike regular american ice cream. The employee was so helpful and friendly that I will absolutely be back and I'm officially switching to gelato!

Horrible coffee and grainy gelto. Snotty, stuck up, and outright rude help really completes the suburban fast food resturant experience. Avoid like the plague.

I work near Bridgeport Village and visit Tutto Bene regularly as one of my favorite lunch spots. They have yummy sandwiches, and my favorite is the Italiano panini. When I'm in the mood for it I opt for some gelato almost always choosing the coconut gelato, it is amazing! The employees and management are always friendly and fast, which is helpful during my short lunch break. On the weekends I have brought a few of my friends here and it is a lot busier but the service and quality was still wonderful.

NitPicky may sound like just a nickname, but it is a very significant one bestowed upon me by my co-workers and clients. You see anyone who knows me, knows I am the "go to" person for the finest this City has to offer. I pride myself on finding the best known, and yet to be discovered experiences in Portland, Oregon....today, Tutto Bene's Mango Gelato ended my quest for the finest gelato experience in Portland, Oregon. Tutto Bene's offers the whole cannelloni; a true Italian- infused ambiance, a fabulous menu and the most authentic gelato I've tasted since visiting St. Marks Square in Venice. Tutto Bene's has me soo sold I've changed my astrology sign from a "Gemini" to a "Gelatoni". Read your horoscope....every day is a great day at Tutto Bene!;-)

I went in last saturday (Oct 7) with two girlfriends of mine around 3. The parking was terrible, but Bridgeport in general is always busy on weekends, so we planned ahead. After some shopping we went to get some gelato. The worker that served us the gelato was quite friendly and accomodating, and he gave us as many samples as we wanted which was much appreciated since it was so hard to decide. There were so many flavors and all of them tasted fabulous, but I eventually went for a Sugar-Free fruit sorbet which was great.

However, there was one woman, who I can only assume was the manager by the way she was ordering around other employees, that seemed blatantly dismissive and crass with me and my friends, and she didn't seem to have a different attitude towards her fellow employees, either.

We ordered sandwiches, mine had grilled chicken and onions, which was delicious. The bread tasted authentic and it was quite flavorfull, though it seemed a bit overpriced. There was a brief wait before getting our food, but it was pretty busy at the time and the workers seemed to be going as fast as they could. The same person that served us our gelato brought out the sandwiches and was quite apologetic for the time we had to wait. Overall, if you're in Bridgeport and you're craving some ice cream, this is the place, but don't go out of your way for it.

The gelato is average at best and the prices are very high. I have tried several flavors and they were all a little bland and too sugary. The pistachio gelato tastes like peanut butter ice cream. Watch out if you want something from the dessert case because some of the prices are mislabeled and you won't find out until they ring you up and it's about 3 times what you were expecting. The cannolli were labeled $1.00 each, but actually they were $2.50. And when I pointed out the mistake, they did not even bother to change it.
And if it's coffee you want you will be much better off just going to Peet's.

I used to live in Portland and a few friends recommnded this gelato cafe, when I came down to visit they brought me to it. We went a few night ago, the gelato was outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful, esp. with all of our samples and questions about it. We learned that they actually make it in the store, I thought that was amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone I know.

Went to Bridgeport Center last week, Great Place. Wandered into Tutto Bene Cafe. Love the architecture. Had a quick bite before the movie. We experienced Tutto Bene about 2 months ago. It was a weekday trip to Bridgeport Shopping Center. We loved the architecture and ambiance but when we entered the line for a gelato and espresso we were rudely told by one of the employees that there was a separate line for ordering gelato and espresso (we were apparently in the gelato-only line). The disturbing part of this, besides the fact that a customer MAY wish to order different items at the same time, is that there were no other customers in the store at that time.

In any case we ordered our items and after paying found the pistacchio gelato to be lacking in flavor and took it back to the counter person to throw away. This time a different person was there and he offered another flavor if that one was not good. We declined the offer but did ask who the individual was who had waited on us (and treated us so rudely about being in two different lines). We were told that he was the chef! Maybe the chef needs to stay in the kitchen and worry about the flavor of the gelato and not interact with the customers.

Sorry to say, we do not recommend this place.

There is not much to say other than oh my! This place has it all, good parking, friendly service, and authentic italian menu. The manager was more than happy to talk to me. Of course why wouldn't he, i was in a good mood after having one of the best meals i have had in awhile. They have a wide array of paninis which were awesome. My search is now over for finding a good italian restaurant. I have been to portland, salem, vancouver, and wilsonville. Neither could offer what this place has. A friendly attentive wait staff, GREAT food, good drinks, and all in a timely manner. I will be back tommorrow! I must have some more of the house made gelatto.

Pros: great authenticity

Cons: none

Tutto Bene has the best gelato in portland. It is just the right temperature, creamy, and the intense flavor melts in your mouth after every bite. The atmosphere is perfect for families or a casual date night. My favorite flavors are the cookies and cream and the pannacotta.... sooo yummy! Their Lavazza espresso is also delightful and pairs perfectly with a gelato.

My family visited Tutto Bene after a movie for a bite to eat (soup,Panini's,dessert and coffee. The Tomato Basil soup is their best, the panini sandwiches are really good and the bread is unlike anything we have ever had. The gelato was out of this world. We had the Chocolate Hazelnut /pannacota, it was the best we ever had. We found the service was very friendly and the decor was something right out of Italy, it's beautiful. We travel to Europe every year and this place is the next best thing to being there.

My friends told me about this amazing Cafe in Bridgeport Village that had the "Best Gelato". I went and sure enough it was pretty amazing and well worth the trip. The cafe is beautifully built, not like most Gelato cafes. I tried a combination of "key-lime pie" and Lemon pound cake. It's out of this world.

Thank you

There is no question, this Gelato is the best in the City of Portland and some of the best I have had outside Europe. When asked their secret, they told me they have training classes every year, twice to three times from a master Gelato chef from Italy

It's amazing

Tutto Bene is the perfect stop before or after a movie or for a great quick bite to eat while shopping at Bridgeport Village. The gelato tastes straight from Italy -- who can resist!!! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and a bowl of tomato basil soup and a latte is great for cold weather days. The grilled paninis are also very good.
