Go to Lovejoy Surgicenter directly. They will respect your right to be fully informed and treat you with the kindness, patience, respect and compassion that you need and deserve at this difficult juncture in your life. But don't judge a book by its cover--Lovejoy is not much to look at and when you're already a little prone to freaking out it might send you into a spin. Deep breath, this place is very professional. Don't expect much from the admin or counseling staff (what they call counseling was informed consent at best, there is no preparation for the emotional aspects) but the doctors are top notch. The nurses were very helpful and the on-call head nurse "Joy" is an absolute angel. They know what they're doing. If this place had full time, well-paid counselors on staff and a little fresh paint on the walls, it would be almost perfect.

I had a minor surgery at Lovejoy and it went very well. The staff was nice and they explained things very well. They were good since my doctor referred me to them for the surgery.
