The Computer Guy, a business run in Lewiston, Idaho, is one of the worst computer solutions businesses I have ever experienced. I was having difficulty running regular programs on my laptop and took it in for servicing there on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately, I was immediately bombarded by a rude man who tried to sell me things I didn't need or want, and tried to make me feel guilty and unintelligent when I insisted he only perform the functions I asked of him. I did however ask for a copy of Microsoft Office. When I received my computer from him the next day, he had downloaded Microsoft Office onto it, but when I got home, I realized he hadn't included the disk. I called and asked for it, and was told I must have misplaced it. Several weeks later, Windows put up an error screen that said I what I was running was NOT a genuine copy. I proceeded to take the computer to a different company, one that told me my registry was tampered with and the copy I was running was indeed stolen. (If the copy is put on more than three computers in one home, it it considered stolen. The Computer Guy was likely holding copies that he could download onto computers to make the money for the purchase of the disk without actually giving the disk.) When I called and explained this, I was told it was untrue. However, they did not pay for the repairs to my laptop, nor for the disk I never received.
