USED to be a good customer here at Massino's. And I use emphasis on the "USED to be" portion of my statement. I have given Massino's hundreds of dollars in business and just recently had a problem with them. Last week on Jan 22nd I placed an order for Pasta with sauce and a sandwich. The sandwich was ok as usual and my wife had the pasta.

That same evening my wife was having stomach cramps, nausea, and she was sick several times. We originally wrote it off as a fluke because we have eaten here many times before and never got sick. But that whole opinion changed when we last ordered from Massino's on Jan 29th.

My wife was still a bit woozy and I decided that I was going to order myself dinner. When it came I was excited to try a stuffed pizza which was a first for me from Massino's. It had the same sauce as the Pasta from last week so my wife decided not to try it. Good thing she didn't because by Sunday evening I was sick as a dog.

I missed a total of 3 days of work because I couldn't stop throwing up and I couldn't even keep ANYTHING down. I contacted Massino's and they didn't care. The girl, who became defensive right away, contested that I didn't even order a pizza from her that the last order they showed in their computer was from Jan 16th. (I guess the Massino's box appeared on my door step by magic pizza leprechauns). So after some arguing and discussing I was given the phone number for one of the owners (Joe).

It was a big mistake calling him because he once again played down the part of fault. "For 23 years I have been making food with no complaints..." and I was thinking to myself. "Have you seen Yelp?" Oh wait! He has, because apparently people leaving bad reviews get hatemail from the workers, more then likely Joe. I have a doctor's note proving my food poisoning and still not even a refund even though I offered to give back the uneaten protion of food.

The owner, Joe, is a real piece of work. I called him back today just a few hours before posting this review and gave him one more chance to give a refund for the food that made me sick in the first place. He once again refused to give the refund of $26.51.... yes you heard that right, $26.51 So I told him I had no choice but to forward my complaint to the Health Department and that I was also going to be adding another review to Yelp and Google to add to the other complaints against the business. As I was hanging up my phone I could hear him calling me a "cheap bastard" in the background.

My recommendation: DON'T EAT AT MASSINO'S UNLESS YOU HAVE A STRONG STOMACH AND WANT TO HAVE YOUR WALLET EMPTIED.

We tried Massinos Italian restaurant for first time, the place was very clean, service was great, we actually met the owners (husband&wife), food was delicious, I had a calzone combo meal, my wife had baked ziti with chicken Parm combo, and my kids had a medium pepperoni pizza. Their sauce was very tasty, fresh homemade pasta sauce, Food was so good, we had to order another medium pizza to go just because it was so good and my two kids needed more, and they loved it. their pizza was real NY pizza made with fresh dough, fresh sauce and real mozzarella cheese. We find our pizza place, and I love recomending massino's to everyone.

Massinos Pizza and Pasta is a welcome establishment in the Aurora area, Seats maybe 30 - 40 people has takeout and delivers, The thing I like is that its open late and on Sundays too. We have tried alot of the menu Items, like Pizza, Spaghetti, Calzones, Salads, Ziti, all of which have been excellent.
Located in Aurora on Buckley rd near Mississippi
in the Albertson's shopping center.
Roger and Edna.

Massinos has the best best in Aurora. Pizza was tasty, real New-York style, crust was real good, done right, not saggy like most pizza places, and their sauce was really fresh and tasty.\r
I recommend Massinos to everyone looking for real

I read the other reviews online before deciding to order from this restaurant so the wait wasn't unexpected. When we ordered, they said 25 minutes...it ended up being more like 45 minutes. We ordered an extra large cheese pizza, a medium veggie pizza, and a stromboli. They were all delicious and the New York style crust was definitely one of the best I've had in a long time. They have some good online coupons, we got all of the above, plus a 2 liter of soda for $21. All in all, a much better alternative to the plethora of uninspired chain pizza shops in the area. Just expect to wait for it! We will definitely be ordering from them again.

I heard about this Italian Restaurant at work. I took my familly for dinner. We had New York style pizza for the kids, my wife had their canolini Alfredo pasta, and I had a meat stromboli. The food was tasty, my stromboli was so good (I had to get another one to go for my lunch), my kids finished the whole 18" pizza, and my wife said that her pasta dish was great too. Since then, we had many deliveries, the food was always fresh, hot and very tasty.
I highly recommend this Italian restaurant.

I just moved to the area and had planned on going to the Subway next door to grab dinner for my boyfriend & I while we were working on remodeling the house. The intense smell of garlic lured me in to Massino's instead. The menu looked great, the place appeared to resemble a New York style corner pizzaria and I was thinking how great this was that I live so close to a place like this! I got 2 strombolis to go. I got home just a few minutes later and my boyfriend & I dug in! It was so very greasy, to the point where I didn't feel so good after eating it. The meat inside was rubbery and what about that intense garlic smell that lured me in to the store? Where was that flavor in the food? When I got home, I had hung their menu on our fridge for future reference. It has since been replaced by the local Pudge Bro's menu. I wanted to give Massino's another chance, however I have not been able to bring myself to do so in fear of rubbery meat and so much sickening grease.
