I needed a last minute hair cut and was recommended to Cesare who saw me right away. From the moment he greeted me outside to the moment I left the appointment my experience could not have gone any better. Cesare recognizes each individuals specific needs and not only does he cut ( and/or treat/style) each individual accordingly, he explains what he is doing and how to maintain your new look. For me, I have two cowlicks, I wear my hair up all day, and yet I still want it to look nice down and be manageable for somebody who is low maintenance. I got all that and more...my boyfriend even stopped cesare periodically to take pictures because it has never looked so good...and healthy! Cesare is by far the best stylist I've ever had and the compliments I've been getting just reassures that I don't need to look any farther. Anything you need, Cesare can do it. HIGHLY recommended.

I have been going to Cesare for over 15 years, he continues to make me look fabulous, I follow him wherever he goes, not to mention he is a great person, easy to talk with and fun loving, the best Stylist I have ever known, thats why for 15 years he is " My Guy" !!!

I came to Cesare about 5 years ago, after seeing a co-worker who had been completely transformed by him. She looked amazing! When I asked her who did her hair, she referred me to Cesare.

Cesare is not average in any way. He is an artist, and a true professional. He gives you that WOW factor that makes the difference between good and great!. I also love that he gives his clients undivided attention, and I've never had to wait when arriving at my appointment time. I've had others color and cut my hair, but no one does it like Cesare. He is absolutely an expert, and only uses the highest quality products.

One of the most relaxing, invigorating, unpretentious experiences I've had at any salon has got to be my recent visit to Hair by Cesare. I walked into a greatly-lit space, and was readily welcomed by the super friendly staff at the front desk. I was immediately greeted by Cesare, who was so intuitive with my needs for a new look that I completely set all my usual hair manipulating fears aside. I had been referred to him by a friend of mine whose hair looks absolutely the cutest I've ever seen it look, so I decided to go with her recommendation and give him a try. Well let me tell you.... Cesare is nothing short of amazing. He gave me the perfect color to suit my everyday needs. He was so attentive and sweet that I just felt so at ease with him and trusted that my hair was in good hands. I walked out of the salon, with a gorgeous blonde hair color, that is completely manageable even in the days after visiting the salon. I cannot say just how pleased and ecstatic I am with the service and reliability of everyone at Hair by Cesare. I will, without a doubt, be recommending Cesare and Hair by Cesare to my friends. It is definitely one of the best salon experiences I've ever had!!

have an OCD behavior of pulling at my hair. My hair had become so unruly and thinning to the point that I was considering extensions. Cesare consulted with me, and we came up with a plan to get my hair back to shiny and healthy and help me stop pulling it. He is devoted to giving you the best treatments and care. The extensions he put in my hair are amazing and has helped me reduce my pulling habit to next to never. I highly recommend Cesare--you will not be disappointed!

I came to Cesare at my wit's end because I had been dying my silver-gray hair medium brown for about 6 months at home and was sick of maintaining it. If you have ever tried to go back to your natural color after a home dye-job, you know it's next to impossible! It took two visits but, with Cesare's expert knowledge of the very latest techniques in damage-free stripping and color correction, my hair is now a color I can live with as it eases gracefully back to its natural silvery-gray color. Cesare is cheerful, courteous, funny and best of all, a master craftsman in color science. I recommend his service highly.

I just moved to Southern California from Austin TX and I know that I've allready found the Hair Stylist for Me!! I've always had the Great Lengths hair Extensions and was ready to have them taken out. Cesare' reccomended the Hairdreams and Im so glad I took his advice!! What a difference!! The extensions lay flat, instead of round and nubby like the Great Lengths and the Hair is a much better quality. Cesare' took the time to blend different colors to create a unique look just for me and explained everything along the way!! His service and attention to detail is second to none!! I wanted to express just how much I love my new look. I went to Cesare from a friends recommendation. I said I wanted a new look, and that is what I got. We talked out my options then we did color. Cesare Promised I would never have to curl or hairspray again( I was killing my hair), and he was right.
I got so many compliments that I thought I would take it a step further. Cesare had suggested hair extensions for a fuller look. I had heard alot about them but was weary. I could usually tell when a person has extensions. Cesare showed me the bonding and the attachment, and It looked good so I thought I'd try a few strands. I love them. I do not even know they are there. Easy to maintain and very comfortable. I am very active and did not want to have to fuss with my hair. Believe me when I say he knows what he is doing. In my book worth every dollar.... Even if I have to do a little at a time.

After trying Amadeus, Evolutions, Alex & Friends, and many other salons in Pasadena, I became convinced that my hair would always look "adequate" at best. Then I decided to take a risk & try someone new that I found here on Citysearch-- Cesare' of Hotheads..! Wow - what a difference! My recent horrible layered haircut from Amadeus he "fixed" --adding layers with extensions. My hair has always been thin and fine-- but now its thick, natural, and healthy looking! Not only that-- no one can tell its extensions! These extensions are different from the ones I had in the nineties. They are lightweight and will last six months!

Cesare will transform you. Trust him. Listen to him. He knows hair. I didn't believe Cesare when he told me my Hairdreams hair extensions would last six months and would not damage my hair. Well, it turns out, they did last six months, and they didn't damage my hair. I've tried other hair extensions and the result was that a lot of my regular hair came out with the extensions after just a few months. Cesare took out my 1/2 year old Hairdreams extensions and my hair was thicker and healthier than it has been in years. We decided to do another round, this time with laser extensions on the side, and the result was very lightweight, beautiful hair. Cesare isn't cheap, but he's worth the money. He can just look at you and envision the "right" look for you. The salon is comfortable. Cesare will explain everything he is doing and why. He has never made me wait or wasted my time.

I tried Cesare simply by chance few months ago. Contrary to what was said, his pricing is comparable to the quality of his work. He does not overcharge, but actually tries to give you the best deal, which almost never happens in this town! I am very pleased with his work. He has transformed
my overprocessed hair into very healthy and shiny hair! I recommend Cesare to anyone looking for a good colorist! His wonderful personality is a PLUS!

I have thin and damaged hair and Cesare gave me the best consult and walked me through the process of getting back a healthy and fuller hair. He applied a hair treatment to restore it and recommended a great product to help correct the damage in the coming weeks. He then added hair extension through laser in just a few minutes, which blends in perfectly with my natural hair! Cesare is also friendly, and easy to work with. Thank you Cesare.

I was very excited to find a stylist who knows what he is doing. Not only creative but fast. My time is very valuable and I was glad to get a cut and color done in an Hour. Read the rave reviews which seem to have been writen by Cesare himself and fel for it. Ver overpriced (charged $135.00) for trim and color. The color of my hair looks unchanged (I could have done it myself with L'oreal Feria). The cut is non-existent. He said he wants to give my hair shape while I wanted a cut.(Some misunderstanding there I suppose). What I did not like is that he was not up front about his pricing.
I hate it when someone does a lousy job and overcharges me and then tries to push products and wants me to return for highlights in 3 weeks. I might not know anything about cutting hair but certainy am not dumb enought to return to Cesare. Would not recommend it to anybody. You are better off at Supercuts.

WOW!! I HAD MY HAIR DONE BY CESARE LAST SATURDAY. WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE. THE SHOP IS VERY AIRY AND FRESH. THE PEOPLE THERE WERE HAPPY AND FRIENDLY. CESARE IS A VERY KIND PERSON. HE IS VERY EASY TO TALK WITH , AND HE MADE ME FEEL LIKE A FRIEND.
HE HAS A GREAT SPIRIT. A VERY SPECIAL PERSON.

A freind recommended Cesare to help give me a lift to my style. I had been stuck in the 90's look for too long. He conditioned my hair and gave me the cut of a lifetime. The condition brought out all the highlights from a previous color, and made my hair feel great. The cut added layers to my heavy hair and softened my whole look. My boyfriend said I looked "Sassy" even his dad did not recognize me. Friends asked if I got new highlight, and I said no, but the conditioner is great for dull hair. He really knows his stuff. So glad I found him.

After a long search I have found a stylist who knows what he is doing with extensions. I needed just alittle help and Cesare was able to work with a minimum amount of strands to get me to where I wanted to be.
His product is 100% natural hair and the attachement wont damage my hair. Now I have the look I wanted at a reasonable price. I was surprised he could do the extensions and color in one session. Perfect for anyone wanting to change up their look. Worth checking into.

I went in to see Ceasar based on good customer reviews on Citysearch.The first time I went in for a cut and color. He pushed me into a deep conditioning instead and a cut. After the fact, he said I could not get my hair color now because of the conditoning. So I went in again a week later to an empty salon, again, which is kinda creepy. He colored it and it was fine, not extraordinary. He then trimmed it again and charged me for it! I just thought he was touching up what he did a week ago. He's really pushy about products and talks on his cell phone the whole time. The salon is not inviting at all either. And both times I made my appointments, he barely called back the same days and changed times on me. I learned my lesson!

Recently met with Cesare fo a new look. I was worried as I had not a clue what to do. He discussed with me my face structure, daily routine, and how I like to wear it. The result, a cut that works perfectly for me.
I am very happy with his sense of style. I am glad I found him. Now if I could get up the nerve for color?????

This man totally butchered my hair. I'm sure he's probably an expert with coloring, but as for actually CUTTING hair, NO. I showed him a picture of a hairstyle I wanted, something with soft layers, and ended up with something not even close. I told him i wanted to create a little movement, but still keep my length since I wanted to grow my hair out... and i SPECIFICALLY asked him to NOT cut the layers short, and AS im telling him this he's saying, "Oh I would never do that to you".. right as hes chopping off 3-4 inches of my hair!!! How am i supposed to react to that!? Since when do "SOFT" layers start above your ears??? He blatantly lied to my face and totally ruined my hair. I just went in to a different stylist in Studio City the other day and she said it would probably take 6-8 more months for me to grow out what I once had. GREAT.

I went to Cesare after reading the good reviews regarding his expertise in color and cut. I wanted someone who would be able to retouch up my highlights and give me a slightly new look. Cesare did just that and more. He gave me new highlights with the most natural blonde color I've seen. I have long straight hair and he gave me a cut that is still simple to style but with a new and hip look :). I recommend Cesare to anyone who wants to ensure they have a stylist who knows what they are doing.

Recently moved to Pasadena and went to 2 other hair dressers before I found Cesare. And WOW! Great cut and highlights. He added long layers to give me the "umph" I have wanted. The color is great. Very natural looking. Also, fast service at a good price. I have found my new hairdresser!

Cesare gave me exactly the color I wanted and I was very happy with how my hair looked. I was not happy with the sales pressure, though.

About the location: there is very little parking available in the lot, so you might want to arrive early in case you have to find street parking.

I really don't know why there are so many raves about this guy... I was quite disappointed. To add to that, he's supposed to call me again after two months.. but I would rather go elsewhere.

Cesare, first upon meeting him, really made me feel a bit uncomfortable. He said I needed to get an oil treatment. Although I agreed to it, I then realized it was because I had not washed my hair that day and it had looked a bit dull. He's a little pushy and also tried to get me to buy his products. When he finished cutting my hair, I wasn't really impressed - at all. My hair cut looked quite different from what I had chosen. Not only that, but he put a lot of layers in my hair and now I've got to wait months before cutting again. Also, the place was a little dingy.. I think a Supercuts is cleaner. When the other girls that worked there left, I felt a bit scared - to be alone in this salon with just Cesare. Although a friendly guy, the first impression you get is.. wow he looks like quasimoto. You would never guess that he cuts women's hair for a living. I'm trying to be as objective as I can... but I had to state the obvious. If you decide to see him, please be warned of my experience.

He had a lot of suggestions, but the haircut didn't come out the way I wanted it. I felt like he didn't really listen to what I wanted and was a little pushy. I feel like I could have gotten the same results at somewhere equivalent to supercuts and the haircut grew out horribly. In addition to this, after I told him that I found the place through citysearch, he asked that I give him a good review and called me a few times to try to schedule a hair treatment that I didn't want and to remind me to write a review for him. I don't think so

I definitely needed some change in my hair color/highlights that were looking drab and shabby after only four weeks. Caesar tried a few new strategies and absolutely gave my hair a lift!! I'm feeling much better now.

I got a great cut from Cesare sometime around February. I had never gotten highlights before, and he knew exactly what shade would look good on me. I got a million compliments the next day at work! He is a great guy- very sociable, good listener, and very intuitive! I also got a deep conditioning treatment which, I would say, worked okay, but not great. The cut and the color were phenomenal though!

For my birthday, my boyfriend surprised me with a "beauty day" --- massage, mani/pedi, facial and hair cut. He found Cesare, called him, talked to him at length about what he needed/wanted for me, etc. He even went so far as to go and meet Cesare in person. Through it all, Cesare was sooo accomodating, even dashing back across town to meet me for a specific appointment time, because we also had dinner and theater plans for the evening. Cesare was soooo welcoming, and friendly, and just everything a great hair stylist should be! Not to mention he gave me a fantastic cut and conditioning treatment... I couldn't have asked for a better birthday surprise!

I turned 40 last year and wanted to look fabulous for my 40th birthday bash. Like many I went online to search for someone in Pasadena. I'm very very picky. Cesare heard me out and did exactly what I asked. I also tried this treament for my hair that was to die for. My hair felt and looked so shiny and like a million bucks. He also cut and colored my hair. The color has remained the same since EVERYONE has complimented me on it. On the day of my birthday he styled my hair and more compliments were received. He has a great personality, works quickly because he knows what he's doing and makes you feel good about yourself. You won't regret the experience.

I have had my hair done by all the famous hair dressers - Jose Eber, Frederic Fekkai, Christophe, as well as top TV hair stylists. Cesare's skill and "hairside" manners are just as good. I had extensions done for the first time and I am thrilled with my Goddess Hair.
I highly recommend Cesare. When I asked him to finesse my bangs after a recent hair cut, he dropped by my office and trimmed my bangs on the spot!

Cesar is amazing! I have naturally curly hair that does whatever it wants. Normally when I go to a new salon, I tell them to do whatever they feel will look good. I give no limitations, yet always walk out with the pretty much the same hairstyle. Not with Cesar! He did wonders with my hair. I totally recommend him!

I was really enthusiastic about getting my hair done with Cesare after reading all of the reviews on this site. I could not have been more disappointed. I got the worst haircut of my life! I haven't been able to style it for weeks. My hair has never been more layered and every stylist that I've gone to to correct the problem says that it just needs to completely grow out. Now I have to walk around for at least another 8 weeks with this hideous cut. In addition, the salon is extremely small and uninviting.

I'd been wanting to cut my long hair into a short, trendier style for awhile, but being new to the area, was nervous about finding a new stylist. After reading Cesare's rave reviews, I decided to give him a try, and I couldn't be happier! He was excellent about working with me to give me a hairstyle I'd not only like, but one that also fit my low-maintenance style. He quickly sized up my face shape and hair type and gave me a cut that is just the right length and style. I've gotten more compliments on this haircut than any other. The atmosphere was great also - he was friendly and informative, and didn't pressure me into doing anything I wasn't comfortable with to my hair. I would highly recommend Cesare and his talents to anyone looking for a great cut and plenty of compliments!
