I got accepted at BC and was planning on taking online courses since I live overseas. I sent my transcripts in, and a month later they still said they hadn't received them. I finally called asking what was going on, and they found my transcripts while on the phone. Then they got my transcripts mixed up with someone else's during the Credit Review Process, delaying the reviewing of mine. Since I'm overseas I rely on email, and the people at Bellevue are horrible with email. I wrote the Director of the department I was planning on majoring in, and I get a response from someone else. I just got the run around multiple times, always telling me to contact someone else. I felt like I had to do all the work myself. They were of no help, and I do not recommend attending Bellevue College.

I went to BCC and took classes there. One of the teachers completely embarrassed me in front of the whole class every class day. I wrote to the school about it and the teacher was NOT penalized in any way. Instead, they stuck the letter in my file for any future schools to read. This teacher told the class about how poor I am, about my hospitalizations for depression (how horrifying to hear that in front of class), and other personal information. He would talk about my tests in front of the class (but not anyone else's). He would make up bad stories about the guy I had a crush on and tell the whole class these stories. He would say my ex-bf is stalking me. He would even say things like if I took the final my car would get smashed in and I would die. I had no idea a teacher could even get away saying such things, but he was not even penalized. The other teachers were not THAT bad but they were not so great either. Also, a teacher told the financial aid office that I spent my financial aid money on clothes and actually the clothes were bought from a different one time sum of money, so that wasn't fair either. I seriously wish I could push a rewind button and go to a different school. It was so stressful to have this teacher embarrass me every day that I still think about it to this day and he got away it completely.

Bellevue Community College is a great Junior College. Most of the classes are great and the majority of the teacher are good. The commute and parking is often a frustration!

I went to BCC for credit-courses during the day, during the night, and non-credit courses at night as well. I thought all were certainly commiserate with the price and quality you'd expect from a junior college.
I took a couple of psychology classes and an introductory linguistics course at BCC. Two of the three courses were taught by visiting professors--I believe this helped increase the quality of the class. They were challenging classes that allowed you to put more into a class if you so desired.
The non-credit class I took was an oil-painting class. BCC offers so many interesting non-credit night class opportunities, it's really great for those in the area. It's a fantastic opportunity to explore yourself and all of life's little "what-if's". I highly recommend picking up a catalog and seeing what's available this quarter.

I attended the school for a little over a year. The biggest problem I had with this school was that I felt like I was in high school all over again! Sure, class sizes are better than the U, it's got a pretty nice campus, and overall for the price it's your best bet, but honestly I lost interest in attending my classes after a while. I'm a good student and I never thought I would be one to just stop attending classes, but I did here. I never really came across the sense of "school community." The enrollment process was extremely dated (no internet enrollment at that time, only phone) and traffic...yeech. I think they may have fixed the last two points I mentioned, but even so, if I do need the use of a community college down the road, I'll probably try elsewhere next time.
Pros: Class size, Credit prices, Nice campus
Cons: , Dis-jointed community, Enrollment process
