I have been going to see Sheila for a little over a year now and have always been extremely thrilled with her services. I am in the spa business myself and so I appreciate the care and attention she takes with me. Her waxing technique is excellent, making things as painless as possible. Her facials are delightful, I tend to get quite red after extractions but Sheila takes special care to cool my skin down so that I look great when I leave, not splotchy and picked at. I always leave Butterfly feeling fabulous!

Butterfly Skin Studio is a spa that prides itself in delivering personalized, professional pampering in a pristine and relaxed environment. I usually feel a sense of relaxation, renewal, and greater sense of well being when my personalized services are done. I was very reluctant to get my first Brazilian wax done 8 years ago, but Sheila made it a relatively painless experience. Sheila took extra care and attention to make sure I was comfortable. Products and equipment are impeccably clean. Plus, her facials are the best. Overall, Sheila takes extra efforts in making sure customers are 100% satisfied with her innovative, beauty products and services. I highly recommend Butterfly Skin Studio to anyone, male or female, who desires personalized skincare services in a highly professional, blissful spa environment.

It is an easy location to find in San Anselmo with ample parking opportunities. A MUST visit spa.

I came here when i first moved to San Anselmo. The owner did a amazing job on my hard to tame long brows and she used different dyes for my eyelashes for more of a pop effect. The part I really liked is that they used natural lotions and waxes for each skin type. The place is very small and they really connect with you as a customer they make you feel very welcome.

Shelia is awesome at eyebrows. I have had someone that did my eyebrows in SF for 13 years and everytime I tried someone new over in Marin is was bad, I mean took my eyebrow off bad.

She really listens to what you want, is a nice genuine person (an added extra) and you need to go and give Butterfly Skin Studio a try it's great and they offer many services.

I am a licensed cosmetician and have worked in the waxing business in the past. I am also a committed waxing customer and have been getting my brows and bikini waxed for over 20 years so when I say Butterfly gives the best wax in town I know what I am talking about! They use literally the best wax product and Sheila the owner does the best brows and bikini I have ever had. Sheila will spend a half hour on your brows if necessary, she never over does it and she gets how everyones brows are different and need to fit each face. Brazilians are not for everyone, but if you would like to try it or just need any kind of waxing she keeps her place and products very clean, is really nice and professional and will take the best time and care of you!

Sheila is the best! She has a knack for making you feel comfortable in her studio. She is warm and friendly and keeps the studio warm, clean and comfortable. She does a great job with waxing and gets you to relax by engaging you in friendly conversation during an uncomfortable process. All in all, I would highly recommend Butterfly for all your beauty needs.

Butterfly Skin Salon offers the best skin care and waxing services in the Bay Area (and beyond). Sheila, the owner, is nurturing, professional, and highly skilled. She has the highest of standards for her work and for the products she offers. She also happens to be a lovely person with whom to spend time while being pampered. The salon itself is warm, inviting, and tastefully decorated. I truly can't imagine going anywhere else for skin care or waxing.

Sheila is wonderful. Kind, thorough----she is not only great at what she does, she genuinely cares. She does carry products, but doesn't push you to use them. . . .when I asked about a couple of items, it turned out they were more hypo-allergenic, and less expensive than what I was using previously. She has the best scrub I've ever used- it minimizes fine lines, and has a very fine texture. . . The studio is cozy and pleasant- and there is plenty of parking, too. I can't say enough good things about Sheila--I wish I'd found her sooner!

The best skin care specialists in Marin! Professional estheticians who really know their stuff. I love the products they use - my skin looks and feels much better. Located in lovely San Anselmo with tons of parking makes it very easy to go any time of the day. I encourage you to give them a try!

Butterfly is the best place to go for pampering! Sheila puts her clients first and delivers great service.
Her extensive menu accommodates everyone. The products sold there are of the highest quality, always pure and natural. The treatment rooms are so relaxing and always spotless. It's a quiet, private place to go and treat yourself to a facial, waxing, massage or other services that are offered.

San Anselmo Avenue is complete thanks to Butterfly Skin Studio. I've been going to Sheila for waxing for many years. She makes you feel comfortable and the ambiance in the studio is very welcoming and relaxing. You may have noticed...one of the prettiest store fronts in town!

Be prepared to be pampered! Even if it's "just a maintenance waxing", the gals at Butterfly treat you like it's your birthday and you deserve to feel special. They are incredibly talented at their tasks. The product line they recommend is not only reasonably priced, but IT WORKS!! They are knowledgable and willing to share their secrets and expertise to help you help yourself to healthier, happier skin. They are walking distance to lovely downtown San Anselmo. A treat all the way around.

I have been seeing Sheila for years and have yet to find any reason to complain. She offers the best services in Marin county for a great price. I recommend her facials which she customizes for me every time I go (once a month). Also she is an expert at waxing- gives the best Brazilian wax I have ever had. Sheila is experienced, consistent, knowledgeable and super sweet. Great positive energy in her studio- I love going to my appointments. I recommend highly to anyone!

You need to try Butterfly Studio. Especially for the bikini wax.

I saw her pretty sign while driving by. I read the reviews of all the other places. I was nervous to go somewhere new, but I needed to get a bikini wax. Sometimes I put off going in because it's almost always uncomfortable.

This was the first time after years of waxing that I felt compelled to write and tell everyone I know about this place. I don't know if there is a pain reliever pumped into the ventilation. Or the wax, or the technique she uses, but it truly was nearly pain free. I wouldn't believe it either if it hadn't happened to me.

I didn't break out either! Not one ingrown hair. She doesn't ask you to get into awkward positions. She's sweet and the studio is gorgeous. I'd give this place six stars if I could. It really is that good.

I often look forward to my waxing appointments because Butterfly Skin Studio is a haven of warmth, relaxation, friendliness and female comraderie while maintaining a high-level of professionalism and quality. I am assured that my skincare needs will be taken care of with the utmost attention to personalized details and other accomodations (i.e., a warm table to lay on with appropriate background music, if desired.) Throughout the years, I continue to return to the owner, Sheila, because the overall quality of her services provided meets, if not exceeds, my waxing expectations. Price is reasonable; scheduling is never a problem; location of the studio is excellent; parking is never an issue. Plus, she is always trying to improve her services for her clientele...now THAT'S customer service!

Have you ever gone to a salon to get a wax and you leave with hair left that you have to painstakingly pluck out yourself? Well you don't have to do that anymore. I just came back from getting a lip wax from ButterflySkinStudio and I can honestly say that it was the best I've had....and I've had A LOT. Sheila took the time to actually make sure all of the hair I wanted gone was gone. No stragglers! Accuracy is not the only thing that appealed to me, however. I was ushered over to a heated, soft table to be waxed on instead of those hard, uncomfortable booths found in most salons, which was an immediate plus. On top of that, the wax she used made the event virtually painless. It's not the traditional heated wax with the strips of canvas, but an entirely different method. It was just applied to my skin, allowed a couple of seconds to set in, and then was removed. When she pulled the first strip, I didn't even think that she had removed any hair, but then I took a closer look and the hair was gone. I was impressed and I'm sure any one else who goes there will be too. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a wax that is worth it!

I've had many, many facials from many, many places/ people and nothing compares to the treatment at Butterfly Skin Studio. From the moment I walk in the door I begin to relax and feel nurtured. During a facial, there is not a moment that I am not receiving - I am never left alone to "steam" - while steaming or while a mask sets I am receiving the best massage (if only it could be full body!) The products are all amazing - try a blueberry smoothie for your face! Butterfly's facials are so good that I actually wake myself up w/ my own snoring during the treatment! Once you experience these facials you will NEVER go anywhere else again! I also receive regular brow wax and tint and wll not let anyone else touch my brows ever again! They are simply the best!
