Just got off the phone with Universal. I blanked on their number, and came on here to get it, only to see all these negative reviews. I can only say that my experience has been exactly the opposite. I haven't bought appliances at Universal, except for a microwave oven, with no problem. However, I have used their repair department for over 15 years. I have never seen such great repairmen. Joseph and all the rest of the guys are amazing. They can fix anything. I know, because I can break anything! And yet, if it will cost more to repair it than it is worth, they are willing to tell you. If you opt to still repair it, they do it. They have repaired my front load washer and dryer, refrigerator, and dishwasher, over the years. And I have always found their repair charges to be very reasonable. You only pay for the ""trip"" charge, if you opt not to have the repair. I think it is important that people remember that repair people can't afford to travel to your place and diagnose the problem for free. We wouldn't expect people in any other field to do that. My husband said he only wishes that other people were half as good as the Universal repair men are, having seen how great they are over the years. Just our honest experience with them. Be well.

I recently ordered an Asko fully integrated dishwasher and air conditioner from UAKC after I finally got tired of repairing my old crappy ones. I was very pleased with how quickly they were delivered (2 weeks, just like the y promised) and how friendly the salesperson I spoke to was. I can't remember his name, but he was very patient with all of my questions and explained all of the benefits and differences between my possible choices. I look forward to ordering from UAKC again in the future.

I got great service here from friendly salespeople. I needed a new air conditioner and wasn't sure which kind to get, but the salesperson I talked to helped me figure it out and I found a great unit for a price well within my range.

I came in last week for a consultation on remodeling my entire kitchen and got great help from the salesman. Within a few hours he helped me find exactly what would work for my space. My oven decided to stop working on me a few weeks ago... right before holiday season. Went to 3 other stores which all said it would take weeks to deliver and install my new oven. Came to UAKC, found an even better oven that matched my current kitchen, ordered it, AND received it and had it put in within a few days. Thank god I got it before thanksgiving or I probably would've had the biggest melt down. Totally worth the drive out to studio city. Would've made it out there way before I went to all those other places if I knew about it!

I was in dire need of a new sink. Mine cracked straight down the middle last week and it was just a complete mess. A friend told me about UAKC and his great experience buying his grill there so I went in immediately. After half an hour the sales guy had I narrowed down to 2 sinks. He told me the specs of both and helped me choose the best one that was also cost efficient. Got my sink 2 days after I ordered it in store. Now my bathroom looks way better almost like a mini face lift!

I recently bought a new dishwasher a few months ago. It decided to spew out water and soap randomly a few days ago. Called the original store to fix it and they said it wasn't their problem even though the warranty said they'd fix it. I was referred to UAKC and I called them asap. They sent someone the next morning to fix my dishwasher. They were extremely helpful and fixed it same day. The additional part needed to fix it was even cheaper than if I were to buy it from the place i originally bought the dishwasher. I most definitely recommend coming to UAKC not just to buy your appliances but for repair service as well!

Came in a few weeks ago for a new fridge. Mine gave out on me after years of use so my husband and I decided to get a brand new stainless steel fridge. We went to a few different stores before we came here. The other stores didn't have any of the ones we wanted in stock and said they weren't going to have them available for weeks. We came to UAKC and they had the one we wanted in stock and shipped it to us in less than a week. Fast and to the point service. Definitely should have come here in the first place.

I purchased all of my kitchen appliances over a year ago from Universal. The price was very good and I liked their showroom and selection. My order was delivered as promised and installers did very good job. So, I can only complement Universal's sales staff and delivery crew. About a week ago I needed service for my refrigerator, so I called Universal. Technician arrived same day and did an incredible and very professional job. I'm very pleased and definitely recommend Universal. Good job.

My husband and I just bought our first home!! One of our major purchases was our washer and dryer. We went to Sears, Home Depot, and Lowes. We started to give up for a bit but we were having lunch at the Daily Grill in the same complex and came in to Universal Appliance store for one last go. The show room looked great and we were very inspired. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very helpful salesperson and it took just a few peeks around the store to find the washer and dryer were were looking for. We have limited space in our laundry room and they had a stackable in stock that was perfect!! My clothes love it!!! hahaha! We will most likely be returning when we redo our bathroom next month. I have my eye on a bathtub and a beautiful faucet fixture.

If you are shopping around for appliances, then Universal Appliance and Kitchen is the best choice. I had a great experience with ordering and delivery. The price on chosen dishwasher was unbeatable. The phone support person was very friendly. It was one of my best experiences in ordering major appliances. I would highly recommend them.

I've been purchasing from Universal for the last 10 years. They are always doing a very good job. Their sales guys and installers just great. I also used their service a few times and I can only say best words about them. I wish we will have more businesses like them. I am pretty upset that people only use Yelp to say mostly negative.

The ordering process is very nice and easy. People are very friendly. But the main thing that was the most important to me - the prices!!! The prices are the best! These guys can work on any budget. I am very satisfied! We will come back 100%.

The store selection is huge and we were able to get all we needed under one roof. The delivery arrived on time and our installation guy was Michael who was very courteous and got the job done quickly and neatly. We were also surprised that he was able to answer all of our questions and show us the basic operations instead of pointing to an instructions manual. I recently purchased a Broan Alure III range hood in stainless steel finish from Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center. I was very pleased with their overall service. After I ordered the product online, the store sent me a confirmation e-mail with the price charged to my credit card. When the item shipped I received another e-mail confirming the shipping and providing a tracking number. When I used to live in Studio City I've seen Universal showroom a few times, but never shopped there. Recently we bought a house in Woodland Hills and needed appliances and all kind of plumbing fixtures. I decided to give them a call to see if they carry what I was looking for. They asked to e-mail them the list of products, since I needed everything, and provided me with the quote same day. I compared prices online and to my great surprise, Universal's quote was inline or some items were even cheaper. Universal delivered all of my products for free. Additionally, I would like to complement Sales People for quick response and suggestions in choosing right colors, and their installers. They did an amazing job in modifying my kitchen cabinets. I didn't have even one problem with my purchase and I highly recommend Universal Appliance And Kitchen Center for kitchen and bath products.

I would like to complement great service provided by Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center. My refrigerator was broken for almost a week. I had two different companies come out and check it out. One company couldn't find the problem; the other one gave me an outrages estimate. After talking to my associate he suggested to call Universal. So I did, got service the very same day. When technician came he diagnosed the problem almost instantly and repaired my refrigerator within an hour, and for the fraction of the price that other service company was going to charge me. I am very satisfied with the service and definitely will use Universal for any future repairs.

I've used Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center for over 5 years for all my appliance repair needs and never had issues. Recently they've repaired my washer machine that stopped draining. They always come out the same day and do quality repair. Their technicians are very professional and know exactly what they are doing. Thanks a lot for excellent service. I had a broken washing machine, and called this place blind. I am happy to report that the technician, Joseph, was honest and fair. He was on time, the company called me to let me know when he was on his way. He tried to fix the washer without ordering new parts first. We ended up having to order new parts, the price was fair, and the washer was fixed. No drama. Lovely service. I would for sure use them again.

I can honestly say that my overall experience with Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center was very pleasant. Prior to purchasing a washer and dryer for my laundry room I visited several different stores. My last stop was Universal. First of all their store looks great and has a great variety of brands in a very wide price range. The atmosphere at their showroom is friendly and has a kind of homey feel to it. The sales person knew the products very well and helped me make the best choice possible for the most durable washer and dryer. I live in Santa Monica by the ocean and unfortunately everything getting rusted within a few years. I didn't get my products right away, they had to be ordered from the manufacturer, but I received everything and had it installed few days later, which I think is very fair and standard. I enjoyed my shopping experience with Universal and I am recommending them to everyone.

I purchased all my kitchen appliances from Universal over a year ago. I was very satisfied with my purchase, but last week my refrigerator stopped cooling. So, I called Universal for service. They sent a nice technician the same day; he repaired my refrigerator and to my surprise didn't charge me for repair. I didn't even know, since Universal installed my Viking appliances, they gave me second year warranty at no charge. What else can you ask for? Thanks a lot for excellent service!

I've used a few local appliance repairmen in the past, but recently needed to have my fridge repair. I called to few companies and got estimates with very wide range: from $250 to $350. One company even told me to replace it. After all, I called this company, spoke to live representative, not answering service, tech was at my house within 2 hours, and the entire repair cost me only $165. The best service ever!

I recently purchased LG washer and dryer from Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center. Their showroom and the quality of service impressed me. At the time of my purchase I dealt with two different sales people and let me tell you, they are the best there is. I was provided with full attention and importance to my purchase. My concerns towards the purchase were taken into consideration and my washer & dryer were delivered the very next day, as it was promised. I have been a customer of Universal Appliances for several years now. I do live in the neighborhood, so convenience is a plus. But besides, Universal being close to my house I must say, that they have a great selection of products of various brands and a very wide range of prices. I did some shop around before I made my final purchases at Universal. Last time I shopped there they competed with two other quotes that I brought from other stores. Among the appliances that I have purchased from them over the period of a couple of years are a washer and dryer, refrigerator, hood, dishwasher, induction cooktop and an amazing Miele vacuum cleaner that I absolutely love and that I got for FREE as a part of a deal! All of my purchased appliances work excellent and I am thankful for the help of the sales people at Universal that helped me make my right choices. I enjoy shopping at this store.

I just received my order of 4 appliances for a kitchen remodel. They were shipped to me in Ohio, so I was a little concerned about this big ticket purchase shipping across country safely. Every time I emailed my salesman (Joe) for an order update, he responded. All four of my products were shipped and received when promised. The shipment was well packed in original boxes and cello wrapped. I also saved over $1000. (after rebates). I will not hesitate to order from Universal again.

Received item very quickly. Credit Card was not charged till after received item. Enjoying our new stove would shop with them again.

Flawless experience. Timely delivery by ground freight. Wasnt clear that product would be delivered by ground freight--I selected UPS, but I guess the size (not weight) required ground freight... Cheaper than buying from product manufacturer, but prices in line with other retailers. And with good shipping prices and no tax it was a better deal than a local supplier.

Everything was perfect except that the store was a little slow in letting me know that they couldnt supply the second item I that I had ordered. I would definitely shop at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center again.

I have recommended Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center to anyone I know in the market for an appliance. I had a disappointing experience with the last large internet purchase I made and was weary to do so again, but I could not get the specific model appliance I needed from Sears, Lowes, or even Best Buy. They all told me that the item was backordered and did not know when one would be delivered. The missing appliance was holding up construction on my kitchen and I took a chance on a retailer Id never heard of before, Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center. The price was half what Id been prepared to pay elsewhere, we were able to call and talk to a friendly customer service rep about what they had available to ship and when we might expect it, and the item was delivered in half the time we expected to wait.

The price for our wall oven was considerably less than the major department stores we looked at. A nice thing about shopping here is that delivery and installation is taken care of at the same time (unlike a major retailer). Everyone we spoke to was very courteous and we definitely look forward to shopping at Universal again.

Ive been having a problem with my washer for the last 4 weeks. After a few unsuccessful attempts to repair my washer by 2 other companies my friend told me to call Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center. Their tech arrived on the same day and immediately diagnosed the problem. Its been 3 months since my washer was repaired and its working great. Thanks for good service!
