The Roosevelt dining room is a great experience. Set in an old historic lodge in the rain forest, the setting and views were outstanding. The breakfast was excellent and service warm, yet efficient. Although just a little pricey, well worth it for a nice relaxing start to your day.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this lodge on a weekend away. It was great to be in the middle of the rainforest there. We stayed in one of the rooms outside of the main lodge, which didn't have much charm. The main lodge itself has a great common area with lots of old charm. Great to be in the middle of the forest to be able to hike, etc., easily.

Adequate accommodations for backpackers ready to make a southwest entrance into the Olympic National Park. Acceptable value for its convenient location.

The place is beautiful. The main lodge is great and homey, everyone sitting around playing piano, chess, reading by the massive five place. Great hikes right out the door, easy and really something to see. I think the boat house is the best place to stay. Nothing fancy, but, clean. There is no tub. 305,304 are the best rooms in the place. The room's in the main lodge are a bit run down and small, the bathrooms in the main lodge are pretty bad.
Where this place really falls apart is the restaurant. I have read other reviews where they say it is "great" I have to say it is hands down some of the worst service I have ever had!! I am not kidding, no water ever gets filled, last night we were not asked if we wanted a drink, told what the specials were, just came to the table and said, "what ya going to have" we have, had, two dinners, two breakfast and one lunch...so this was not a one time thing. Very pricey and you just feel like a fool for taking it. The restaurant is AFULL. If I ever come back I will bring a ice chest to keep some food in. I think for the money this in a one night two day kind of place....camp if you can. Bring a rain coat, they don't call it the rainforest for nothing.
Pros: beautiful, great lodge area, lots to see and do.
Cons: restaurant service, food, price, amenities; bathrooms,
