When my mother decided to move from Northern California to Southern California, I decided to use Northstar Movers. I had moved earlier from San Francisco and had great service from them. As with my previous move, Northstar sent a great team of workers. Jesus and his crew carefully wrapped my mothers furniture and possessions. When they arrived with her items, I was happy to see that Jesus and his crew were going to unload her things. It had just rained very hard and they took extra measures to insure that not only were her items moved in carefully but also that her floors were protected as they walked through her new home. Anyone who is looking for good people who care about your belongings should definitely consider Northstar Movers. My mother and I truly appreciate their extra efforts and professional know how!
Pros: Great Professional Movers

My husband and I recently moved from an apartment to a house. Over the time we had gradually moved lots of stuff over ourselves. Then we were looking at the rest of furniture and realized that we had to hire a moving company.
After reading the good reviews on Citysearch, we called Northstar. The service people on the phone told us that since we didn't have lots of stuff, we can do it by hour and gave us a very good weekday hour rate for a three-man moving crew. We then booked a moving time and evaluation appointment with them. I got confirmation email on the same day. Then the evaluation guy showed up the next day. He looked around, made notes, and told us it won't be more than $500. I soon got another detailed email to confirm this evaluation.
On the moving day, three guys came on time. They were very polite, quick, quiet, and totally gentle with our furniture. They were not taking their time because we were charged by hours. To my surprise, they finished everything in half of the time that we expected. We ended up paying only a bit more than $300. We paid in credit card and got clearly print-out official invoice and receipts from the guy.
A couple of days after moving, I got a follow-up call from Northstar asking whether the guys were doing a good job, etc. I must say, the whole experience with this company is fantastic. Moving is such a stressful thing, but hiring Northstar made it basically painless for me this time. I'd highly recommend their service to anyone.

They made moving easy. Very professional.
Highly recommend.

Ari, Miguel, and Angel were terrific. They arrived on time, were friendly, quick, and efficient, highly professional and easy to work with. One of the best moving experiences I have had.

The crew at NorthStar Moving did an awesome job moving me from point A to point B. I don't know how I would have done it without them!
Pros: Very reliable and efficient

I am so glad that I chose this company. I was amazed by how downright fun my moving day was thanks to the crew from Northstar. These guys are truly the best!
They gave me an arrival window of 8-10 am, which, as we all know, for a lot of companies means anywhere between 9:50 and 10:20. To my absolute delight and relief, they pulled up at 8:15 and cheerfully plunged into a what was to be a long day of hard work of them, moving me from my home in Bel Air to Encino. And watching them work was nothing less than a joy. Guy, the foreman, helped my moving-day anxiety by making jokes, all the while working steadily without wasing a moment's time. The entire crew were diligent, efficient, organized, and extremely professional.
As a team, they had it down to both a science and an art. Guy led his crew with a respect towards them that was evident and they responded by following most of his directions before they were even fully expressed. E It was truly a pleasure to watch these GENTLEMEN work as they packed, loaded and then unloaded my family's belongings. A good 9 hours into their job, they indulged my desire to protect my brand new hardwood floors by holding each and every piece of furniture sideways as they removed it from the truck while I stuck 4 to 6 little floor-protecting stickers on them. I believe it took a lot of grace and professionalism on their part not to roll their eyes, sigh impatiently, or otherwise express their impatience, but their professionalism never waivered. I noticed later that a few pieces of furniture I had somehow missed also had the stickers on them, which tells me that the men placed them there on their own. I found that to be the most impressive gesture of all. I wish I could remember the names of all the crew members as I would have loved to give them credit by name. Each and every one of them deserves it, and the company should be very proud of the fine workers they employ. They finally left my new home at 11:00 pm that night, and were as friendly and polite and upbeat as they had been at 8:15 that morning.
I read everyone else's reviews before I wrote mine, and of course it's a shame that 4 or 5 people had such poor experiences. One reviewer implied that some of the good reviews were not authentic because the reviewers had never reviewed any businesses before. I am one of those who has never reviewed, but the reason I am reviewing Northstar is because they asked me to do so, as I'm sure they ask all their customers, because they truly want feedback so that they can improve, and probably because they know that, for the most part, they do a more than decent job and want acknowledgment for it. A lot of companies probably don't want to know what you think of them, and with good reason.
I had low expectations for my moving day because I am generally hard to please in most respects, and I couldn't imagine that a moving company would be anything but an aggravation. This crew was a phenomenally wonderful surprise. Yes, they definitely make a huge profit on their packing materials, but they are up front about those prices, and you can easily avoid that expense by doing it yourself, and their labor cost is more than reasonable. They were my least expensive bid out of 8 companies, even with the extra that I paid at the end for packaging supplies. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. And did I mention that NOTHING, not paintings, nor china, nor glassware, nor furniture, not even my kids' arts-and-crafts projects were damaged during the move? What more could one say? This company gets 6 out of 5 stars in my book!
Pros: efficient, professional, pleasant
Cons: none

Omar and Angel moved us this month. Great guys, nice operation. They did not break or scrath any of our items. The whole move in general was Top Noch. It took just a few hours to move a 3 bedroom home down the street.. Great job.
Pros: FAST, RESPECT YOUR GOODS

Thanks to Joel & his crew my move from a large house to a small apartment went without a hitch. My heirloom furniture was well taken care of! Northstar and Joel come highly recommended by me.
Pros: Fast & Dependable
Cons: ?

I was helping a good friend during her move about 6 months ago, kind of helping her cope with the insanity of the day, and while doing that I also observed her movers at work. They were impressive: very efficient, knew what they were doing and even managed to take apart ? and more impressive to me ? put together a very odd shaped desk she?s had for years and refuses to throw away. I asked to get a card from them and gave them a call when I had to me this past Sunday. My move was small, and I was glad they gave me a repeat of their great performance and finished early enough for me to spend the rest of the day arranging my new place.

My moving crew, Erick, Elias, Dave and especially Joel, were incredible. I could not have asked for a more considerate and well-organized team of movers. What could have and we expected to be a super stressful day for us, was made into a nice memory of how we moved into our very first home with a 4 easygoing pro movers, who worked as a team all day long.

I moved out of a four bedroom house that included 3 bedrooms, a home office and a very packed 2 car garage. I knew I had a lot of stuff, but still was overwhelmed with what came out of my cabinets and shelves. The 6 men crew that came to move me took control and never seemed lot. Joel made sure everyone knew what to do and kept checking on their progress during the day. They packed and labeled the boxes and left my old house without a scratch. They place the furniture where I requested and made sure I was happy with the results before leaving. I know my move was fairly big and I was expecting a bit of a messy day. Gladly, they went beyond my expectations and delivered a fantastic, well trained crew that made sure everything was done smoothly.

It was my first move, so naturally I have lot and lots of questions, and all were answered patiently by the very patient Christel who won my business with the professionalism. Every little detail she gave me and my husband when we conference called about the hourly price and extra cost of supplies, was a big help on the move day. We were packed and ready for the movers, and had an easy, surprise free move. Well, no bad surprises anyway. There were nice ones: they gave me an arrival window of 8:000-10:00am, and arrived on 8:05. That was a good start and I was glad the day kept going in that direction. They were always smiling, even with the super hot day I ended up moving on. They made my move quick and easy.

Estimate was too high, deposit more than actual cost, almost double, and wouldn't return overpayment for more than a month and only after complaint in writing. Sales/order takers gave one minimum tho' like pulling teeth to get billing/dispatchers to honor this, (charging for 2000lb min. when 1000lb min. was stated over and over by sales office). Other discounts were also "news" to the biller/dispatcher office.
Moving foremen were either lazy and clearly bs-ing, or w/o notice didn't weigh the truck contents after pick up tho' biz stated that's what's done, and overcharged for this supposed 2000lb. min. (actual weight approx. 1200lbs). Movers broke a chair, it was reglued by monkeys in a back room apparently. Got s uckered into a "meet the truck" at the scale scam where it appeared the actual movers had no intention of doing anything but being led to the address and drive back later. Awful. The same awful vibe from the laborers and the dispatcher as any rip-off mover and pick-up people left little used "s uck er sticks" litter on floor/carpet. Hmm, maybe that meant something.
Pros: Talk pretty when ordering
Cons: Bogus rates, overcharged, wouldn't return almost $500.

Joel and his team were WONDERFUL!! They were so nice, fast, careful, and very professional. This is the second time I've used Northstar and I will use them again if I ever move again.
Pros: everything so was smooth

Joel and his crew of 4 were absolutely wonderful!! They came in to move a 4 bdrm, 3 bth, 3 car garage home and did a great job. I was overwhelmed with all the stuff that came out of our closets, garage, and cabinets. They packed everything down to our files in our cabinets, nothing was broken or scratched not even the walls. I have very heavy wood furniture, they padded everything and packed it well. It took 10.5 hours to pack, drive to new home and unpack everything. If you want to make a move easier on you and your family, HIRE THESE GUYS! The did an Awesome job. :-)
Pros: Very Professional
Cons: none

Joel and crew did a excellent job. Packing and moving went flawlessly with no breakage or missing items and they worked quickly, efficiently, and were clear on asking any questions if anything was in doubt. All packed boxes were also well labeled and organized, making unpacking as painless as could be.
Packing, moving, and unloading done for a pretty crowded 2-bedroom apt in about 5-6 hours in total. This is our second time using Northstar and we would definitely do so again.
Pros: prompt, efficient, friendly, fast, accurate quote, no damage
Cons: none

A friend had recommended NorthStar for her move, said they did a good job. First I checked them on the Internet, saw good reports and I hired them to move me. It was a lot of work as both old and new locations were second floor, and I needed a full pack. The 3-man crew did the whole job in one day. They packed things carefully and there was no breakage. I have some treasured wood furniture (like a 6' tall armoire), and not only was there was no damage to any of my things, there wasn't even a scuff on the wall. I'm a very happy customer and would not hesitate to call on them again.

Our local move from West Hollywood to Glendale could not have gone better. The good service started with my first phone call. Wendy explained everything, and I was impressed that there weren't hidden charges, not even charges for gas! We booked a truck for 8am and 3 men. The crew actually showed up early and asked if we were ready to start. The movers worked incredibly hard and were really nice. Nothing, and I mean nothing was broken or damaged. A fantastic company that I have already recommended to my friends.
Pros: great customer service, experienced movers
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

Hired NorthStar after reading positive reviews on-line. Arranged to have my four-bedroom house moved to a new larger home. Moving company gave competitive quote. They were very responsive to all e-mail and phone inquiries. Confirmed everything a few days before arriving. They showed up on-time and started working immediately in fifth gear! These guys are FAST! Since I was paying by the hour I was concerned about slacking and guys moving like slugs just to earn more money. That did not happen with this crew. They were like a whirlwind in the house!
They were very respectful with my property ? everything disassembled, wrapped in blankets and taped, and other items bubble wrapped (extra charge).
They drove to the second house as fast as we did and once there immediately got to work. No complaints or issues with the fact that they had to carry heavy furniture and appliances up two flights of stairs and through narrow doorways.
Except for a potted plant that was already cracked, nothing was broken, scratched, or damaged. Frankly, I was surprised, since I expected some ?moving casualties?.
I would highly recommend Joel and his crew from NorthStar. They are professional, fast, careful, and very reasonably priced. Overall, OUTSTANDING!
Pros: Super professional, and careful
Cons: Could have brought a bigger truck

I scheduled a move last August from San Diego to Atlanta, Georgia. Packing alone was almost $5k and my move ended up being almost $16k WITHOUT any appliances or cars.
They took 16 hours to pack a 3 bdrm. house, & ran out of supplies!
3 weeks later and, to our horror!
* ? of our things were LEFT in Cali. in their warehouse!! OMG!
* SOOO MANY things were damaged! Our losses are in excess of $7k conservatively!!!
* Many items were separated so we were without ANY beds or tables, and our sofa for an extra 4 weeks!!!!
* Most of the boxes were not labeled so unloading was a NIGHTMARE! I had to stand at the base of the truck ramp as the guys cut into each box to try to figure out what room they should be placed.
* Our home has 3 levels and because room items were mixed together, unpacking was twice the work. We had outdoor items like clay pots put in with fragile indoor items, inexcusable!
We called our contact person (David) and informed him half our stuff was missing and we could already see there was excessive breakage and that the breakage could have been prevented. He (David) indicated that until we finalized our damages, he'd provide a 20% discount on the cost of the professional packing. Didn't happen.
After 4 more weeks, shockingly, the driver called at 7pm on a Wed. evening and wanted to deliver THE NEXT DAY!!! I asked the driver to wait until Fri. to clear my schedule and to protect the hardwoods and railing (they still managed to scratch the floors BTW).
To put this into perspective, a $3,300 alabaster pendent was put sideways in a box with 6 pieces of newsprint on the bottom and absolutely nothing else. Of course it broke! Expensive furniture, wall-hangings, vases and pots, a glass table top, lamps... all damaged.
The offer for the delay was a mere $700 and for damages $1,000. I paid more than this in feeding their crews and in tips!!!
BEWARE!!
BREAKAGE WAS NOT ACCIDENT BUT NEGLIGENT!
Pros: NONE
Cons: HORRIBLE SERVICE, HANDLING, DELAYS, PRICES!!!

Thanks to Angel & his colleague, my moving day was smooth. I had Starving Students scheduled in the morning, but the quote given over the phone was absolutely different than the one when they came over. So, I let them go. My friend referred me to NorthStar Moving and they scheduled the move for the same day and there was no surprises when it came to prices. Movers were EXTREMELY fast and they didn't take a break until the job was done (5 hours later). They didn't complain about the broken elevator or uncomfortable location to load and unload. They professionally protected all items. As a realtor I will definitely recommend them to my clients.
Pros: EXTREMELY FAST
Cons: none

I want to thank Joelle and Eric for the professionalism in moving our company. I had envisioned and planned for heavy furniture to be located in certain places, when it was placed there I was not pleased with the fit, so I asked them to move it again, and again, and again....they never complained and were more than willing to please me. I highly recommend the whole crew at Northstar Movers. There were no hidden costs, my furniture was well cared for, and our computers and expenisve electronic equipment arrived in our new location undamaged and "on time"! They made our move "uneventful" - thank you!

I used Joel from the company on Sunday to pack up our apartment. He came with a crew of two men and they had our entire apartment packed in 4.5 hours. We are moving on Saturday and i hope they send Joel back to finish the job because he was really attentive to our specific needs and his crew worked very hard.
Pros: Prompt, friendly and fast
Cons: Can't think of one!

The service was outstanding. My crew was courteous, energetic and professional and got the job done in record time.
Posted 02/23/09
I used Northstar this past week and I am beyond satisfied with their service. I had a 3 man crew; the foreman was Ran Ovadia and his crew, Lopez and Herman. Ran was very professional, helpful, not pushy, honest about any changes in prices, and easy to work with. His crew was very knowledgeable, problem-solved when needed, and took great care of my belongings. I believe the price I paid was fair, considering I had nothing packed in any boxes yet they managed to get it all done for me. Afterwards, I received a follow-up call from a customer service representative and that was also helpful because I got to go over my bill again and ask any questions I had. Use them. It was worth it. They have all the supplies you need and they wrap your belongings with care. And their crew was professional and smart.

The mover I scheduled three weeks in advance didn?t show up. When they finally answered the phone they told me their truck broke down, and they can move me in three to four days - really not helpful! I called Northstar all stressed out, and they told me they can send a crew within a window of 10am ? 4pm, with a one hour notice. I was fine with that as long as they could save the day. They called me at 12:30, told me they have a crew that can arrive at 1:30. That crew just finished another move before coming to move me but you couldn?t tell it by the way they worked. They were hardworking and careful with my things, and did it all with a smile (it?s surprising how a smile can cheer you up? it was a nice reminder of that). We wholly plan to recommend Northstar to friends in need in the future.

I highly recommend NorthStar Moving. Thanks to Belle, Tamir, Gabriel, Elias and everyone involved, for a job well done!

They sent a great team. David, Elias and Scott were total pros. They were careful wrapping, loading and unloading my stuff, and even protected my carpet as requested. They left us very impressed.

The price was a bit high but the service I recieved was above anything....
Thanks for making my move an easy and stress free one...

We filled out a request for moving quotes online and received 8 or 9 calls back and many emails for moving companies. Out of all the companies I spoke to, Northstar made a bigger first impression because their representative really took the time to explain everything I needed to know, and to ask a lot questions about my move and what I needed. I felt he really wanted to make sure I understand everything and boy did I need that lesson because it was all news to me. I did use the information he gave me: I checked the license/permit number of the moving companies I was considering at the Public Utilities Commission site (there is a nice informational page there I recommend to read about ?bandit movers? who operate without even having a business license) I asked for references from movers and compared prices. NorthStar were not the cheapest company I talked too but their price was definitely ok, they were right there in the middle, and had above average credentials based on all the checking I did. I am thrilled to say I made the right call because the crew they sent me worked relentlessly, never stopping for a minute. They treated my furniture as if they were priceless antiques (and they definitely are not, sadly for me)
If you want a move with a clear head, no worries, and have things run smoothly, they are the people call.

Hiring service providers is always an uneasy thing. I?ve been burned too many time by bad service, and I hate having a thought at the back of my head that maybe I?m being over charged. I asked around my office for good mover referrals and got a few names, I called them all with different degrees of success: two didn?t pick up, I had to leave a message. One of them didn?t even bother to call me back, the other played phone tag with me for a while before I gave up on them. I spoke to the rest, one of them just barked prices at me, another was way overpriced. And at the end I was left with two companies who were nice and attentive over the phone. I was exhausted just from all these phone calls. I decided to go with NorthStar because their representative Ronny was incredibly nice and well informed, She listened to what I needed, she gave me option, she emailed me everything we spoke about right after we got off the phone, and then she called me the next day just to make sure I received the email. She never pressured me to move with her, she said she really wants my business and would love to earn it if I think their the right choice for me.
The crew she sent, Chris, Ben and Carlos, were super nice and made me feel I was in very capable hands. I?m glad the research part is over, I?m ecstatic that I?m unpacked in the new home already, and I an so relived that I clearly made the right choice.

I have nothing but good things to report. I had a small move: transferring my not-too-big storage unit contents into a one bedroom apartment. They sent a two men crew that came ready to work. They didn?t waste a minute emptying my storage place and had everything in my apartment pretty fast. My only problematic item was a huge dresser made of heavy wood. This thing is a monster, but I will never get rid of it as it is truly one of a kind. They wrapped it nicely with blankets, protected the railing as they carried it over it with careful planning and team work. I?m definitely not planning on ever moving that thing on my own, so I was lucky to have the right guys around.
Posted 02/02/09
I?ve lived in my apartment for twelve years. I didn?t really want to leave but the new owners were turning the building into condos. Twelve years means I probably had more than the usual two bedroom worth there, and it also meant that I couldn?t handle all the packing on my own (ok, time to be honest: Me & my family were too lazy to pack it all?). Northstar made it all simple and easy. They suggested we add one more man to the crew than they usually would have sent to my size of apartment, and that really helped speed things up. They packed whatever we didn?t finish packing, made sure everything was protected and wrapped and helped us get to the other side of the day all settled in our new place and completely appreciative of their hard work.

NorthStar moved me two weeks ago and did an excellent job!
I used a different mover for my previous move less than a year ago and that company came with an undersized truck, and not enough equipment. It took them much longer to move the same items. So when it was time to move again I checked companies, had a few estimates and out of the five estimators that came to see me, NorthStars? quote was not the cheapest but also not the highest. The care and attentiveness that their estimator showed, however, was of the highest level. I felt they were the right choice and they proved me right and didn?t let me down.
Posted 01/19/09
They showed up on time ( even a little early, actually), and not only were good workers, they also were nice, polite, and caring: they kept telling me to relax, that my move was one of the easiest they had and they will wrapped my furniture very well before taking them out into the truck. And you know what? They were right. Why be all stressed out about moving? That?s no fun! When you hire the right movers you can survive the fully day stress-free, and have a new apartment with fresh paint smell all around way before the day is done!

We were a little nervous at first, as their price was on the lower end of the scale among the movers we talked to. We were also a bit confused since their rating and online reputation was among the highest. We wanted a great mover but didn?t know if that?s what we got. That is, until the men started working. They were true professional movers, clearly trained in their work. They came with the right tools, different kind of dollies, and had a solution for everything - they managed to move our fridge out of the apartment by hoisting it over the counter. I thought we will be forced to leave it behind, but they managed the move without a hitch.

We had a Northstar Moving crew of four men move our entire three bedroom house from Westchester to Santa Monica this past December.
They were punctual, considerate and very cautious in handling our furniture. They had to deliver my baby grand piano to the second level of our home and they planned and executed this tough task with great professionalism and calm. They came prepared with a piano board, they knew to take the legs off before moving it and they places it safely in my upper living area with great care. Everything was in place by the end of the day, with only my boxes waiting for me neatly in the appropriate rooms. I finished unpacking the last of the boxes a few weeks ago and everything was in perfect condition.

We want to thank NorthStar Moving for one of the best moves we had. Roy, their team leader, kept track of everything, divided tasks between himself and his teammates, checking in with us to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction ? and it definitely was.

The pros at NorthStar Moving gave me my first ever easy breezy move this past Saturday. I moved a few times before with other companies and it was never a fun experience. I saw them move my neighbor six months ago and asked for a card from their crew and threw it into one of my den drawers. I knew my moving day was coming up and after I saw how good they were with my neighbor?s stuff I though it wouldn?t hurt giving them a call. Well, I lost the card, but I recognized the name when I did a Google search for movers. When I called, they were polite and comprehensive in explaining everything I needed to know. The crew they sent worked hard all day, with a 20 minute break in between (they took it off the total time of the move). They handled all my stuff as carefully as I remembered them doing for my neighbor. I was particularly worried about my plasma TV, since I didn?t keep the original box after buying it of about $2,000 two months ago, but they wrapped it carefully, crafted a box with a perfect fit and moved it safely. I?m happy.

I had my share of movers in my life, I kind of move a lot.
Some of them were fine, a couple went horribly.
But after my last move with Northstar, I will never use another mover.
It all started with a very professional and personable sales representative (Bell) that was as nice and knowledgeable as they come, and on the day of the move I was so happy to see the guys show up five minutes before 8:00 (I was told they would be there sometime between 8 to 10 in the morning; I did not expect them to be right on time).
The guys (Kevin, Ron and Joe) were great. They hustled, were very nice to work with, they did a great job wrapping my belongings, nothing got broken, and the whole thing came up a lot cheaper that I thought it would be. It sure was less money that what I spent on my last move, moving the same amount of things.
I am happy to report that I found a company that not only is great at what they do, but they are also nice, polite, and take great pride in doing their job right.
I will recommend northstar to anyone that needs a great mover for a really good price.

The building I moved into had a few strict rules, like no moves on Sundays, moves can be only between 9:00am ? 5:00pm, elevators should be reserved in advance and a few more. So not only did I have to work hard on finding a good mover, I also had to make sure they can accommodate all these regulations. NorthStar Moving made all the arrangement seem like no problem at all. They didn?t have the morning available for my original move date, they were completely full and had only the afternoon, but they gave me a few alternative options, I picked the one that fit my schedule and I got a morning crew. I revered the elevators and then I found out I need a certificate of Insurance or my building will not allow my movers to work on premise. I called NorthStar again, all worried, but they told me it is a daily thing for them. I had my building fax the requirement to them and they took care of everything without even needing my involvement. During this time I was calling NorthStar almost daily with questions and requests and they never let me feel like it was a bother, they kept reassuring me it was no trouble at all, and promised they will take care of everything. The crew they sent me was very efficient, they came ready to work and never slowed down throughout the move. I was in my new apartment well before the deadline, and they left my building manager happy, and myself amazed and grateful.

I didn?t know what to expect when I hired professional movers for the first time, after hearing so may scary stories, but I just wasn?t about to do another move on my own, I needed help and I am so glad to say the Northstar Moving guys were extremely professional, and quick to accommodate my every request. They were quick and efficient all through the day. It was a smooth move and I am very thankful to them for that.

My move with NorthStar Moving was truly outstanding. I had to move all my furniture to their storage for two weeks until my new home was ready, and I feared this will complicate things, but Ben, my project manager, helped me plan and schedule the two phases of my move with such professionalism and patience. He didn?t loose his cool once - and I did call him with a few last minute changes and requests. I was so happy I was off the hook for finding a storage place on my own? The crew was terrific as well, they carefully protected all my furniture and kept them wrapped while in storage. They delivered everything to may new apartment two weeks later, unwrapped it carefully and asked me where I would like to place each item. They were efficient and friendly, which really helped (I was a nervous wreck by then, and my husband was pretty much in the same shape). It was a smooth transition with not a thing broken in the process.

When I searched around for a professional mover I heard the name ?NorthStar Moving? from a couple of friends-of-friends and saw it online in a few places, so they were on my shortlist of companies to call. From the first phone call the difference in level of service was obvious. The representative who helped me, Wendy, was very patient and kind, she asked all the right questions. She even gave me some advice not only on how to get ready for the day of the move so things will run smoother and quicker, but also on how to check and compare moving companies. The movers arrived on time on the morning on the move (and I was counting on them being late? I wasn?t completely done with my kitchen, but they immediately assigned two movers to help me finish packing while the rest of the crew started working on the furniture). They were patient and courteous throughout the move, and that in itself was a big help since planning and getting through a move was too stressful at points. They truly helped make my move a lot more pleasant, from the initial quote to the final goodbye at the end of the day. My daughter may be in need of a move in the coming months and I am happy I will not need to do any research this time as I have no doubt of which company I will turn to first.

only broke one lamp... and were very polite and apologetic about it. nice people, with integrity. I will definitly call them again if I needed to move again.
Pros: polite and ethical
Cons: not that organized

The first time I used them I was delighted. Unfortunately I just used them a second time and will not use them again. They weere average to poor. I have many paintings, boxed with an arrow pointing up.. the movers totally ignored giant arrows and grabbed the boxes any way they choose. overall they were just plain careless.
