Great cookies.

by Alia F. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,059

Really friendly place. Awesome cookies! I'm not a big fan of oatmeal cookies but Jamaica's are fantastic! Her chocolate chip are perfection. Everything else in the case looks delicious but the truth is I haven't been able to get past the cookies to try anything else.

If you have a sweet tooth like I do, then this is the place for you. The pastries and cakes are to die for. It's a little pricey, but worth every penny.

Fresh and Tasty

by Emilda C. | insider Insider | Rank: 23,419

Love the cakes and pastries. Because I love the taste of homemade, Jamaica's is one of my favorite bakeries. Eating one of their baked goods is like eating freshly baked goods from Mama's oven.

I recommend the wedding cakes to anyone getting married. After tasting one of her wedding cakes at a friend's wedding, I was inspired to visit the shop to see if their other baked goods were as good.

Jamaica's Makes-a Party!!!

by Kathleen F. | insider Insider | Rank: 25,000

I've both ordered from Jamaica's and have been to parties where they have had their cakes and every time what I've had has been delicious and unique. Their staff is helpful and friendly and were able to get me what I wanted in a short period of time. I would definitely recommend them!

The Most Amazing Wedding Cake!!

by oliveoyl17_2000

Jamaica made my wedding cake. The cake tasting was a great experience. She was so pleasant and wonderful. The cake was absolutely the best!! I wish i could upload the picture. Not only was my wedding cake beautiful but the taste matched the presence. I had a five layer cake and EVERY piece was gone!! The price was very reasonable. Even though my friend paid for my cake as a present, if i did pay for the cake it would have still fit perfectly in my budget. All I can say is AMAZING!

Pros: Wedding Cakes and Service!

Caramel Bread Pudding = Love

by lulu3212

I lived right across the way from Jamaica's for over a year before finally deciding to check it out. I couldn't believe I had been missing out on the caramel bread pudding and red velvet cupcakes that entire time! I was thoroughly impressed by the menu that they offer which includes vegan peanut buttercups (bought one for a friend and she LOVED it) and other goodies for people with food allergies or those that have vegan lifestyles. Super friendly staff. I recommend the caramel bread pudding, pecan or apple streusel bars, and any of the cupcakes (especially the red velvet or black-bottomed).

Pros: caramel bread pudding, friendly staff

Cons: depending on when you go parking can be hard to come by due to San Fran Saloon customers

Simply the Best

by trisha929

LOVE this Bakery and the people there! Jamaica saved the day when I was searching for an egg-free 1st birthday cake for my food allergy challenged son. After getting numerous crazy looks from other bakeries when I asked for a "cake with no eggs" I stumbled across Jamaica's Cakes - what a find! Everyone there was incredibly nice and they were VERY reasonable with the cost. Jamaica whipped out an Elmo Birthday cake for my little one that was a real crowd winner - the 2 pieces of cake that were left at the end of the party didn't make it past that night : ) Seriously, if you are looking for a vegan desert or any non-vegan sweet delight in general you NEED to call Jamaica - She is the Queen of all things sweet!

Pros: Reasonably priced, wonderful service, Excellent Deserts

Top-notch ingredients and great customer service make this place a stand out. Every year, we get a cake from Jamaica's Cakes for our son's birthday party. We've never been disappointed. These cakes are absolutely delicious. They are also beautiful. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Pros: Excellent ingredients, great decoration, nice people

Cons: none

Dream Cakes Made by Warm People

by acsmith67

Jamaica, her husband, and one of her friends run this place and it's a factory for dream cakes. I recently paid them a couple of visits to talk through wedding cake ideas and brought my fiance along for a tasting. It was out of this world. Very gourmet but completely accessible. Your burger-and-fry guests will love it just as much as your foie gras-and-lavender crowd.

Creative, honest, friendly -- Jamaica's cakes has it all and I highly recommend it!

Pros: Delicious cakes and fillings, artful designs, can-do attitude

Cons: Parking can be tricky, but very worth the effort.
