Founded on the Buddhist tenents of compassion and service Naropa is just what Boulder, and maybe the world, needs right now. On the heels of one tawdry scandal after next tawdry scandal this once city of brotherly love and activism needs a bright light and an army of clear-eyed torch bearers to go forth into the world and put Boulder back on the noble path. Namaste bodhis!
PROS: good for the community, good for the world
CONS: nag champa sinusitis

My association with this private Buddhist University is through the Creative Writing program. It is one of the best universities that I have ever been involved in. The teachers and staff are generally supportive and positive with every students learning experience, and they are willing to go out of their way to make sure that personal needs are met. The atmosphere of the school is meditative and comfortable. Because it is a private university, tuition is fairly high, but it is worth it.

You'll rack up an exorbitant bill, but your Naropa education will likely change your life forever. As a Writing and Poetics graduate student, I studied with the greatest of the greats ( I mean both faculty and students). Naropa drips with passion. If interested, you really need to check out their website. An invaluable asset to Boulder's art culture.
