Great Cut and Color
by sbollin
I love the way Lisa cuts and colors my hair. I?ve seen a lot of stylists in the past and they never seem to hit the mark with the cut. Lisa got it right from the first cut. I just love my new cut and color. It really helped that she showed me how to style my hair and recommended the right products to use because now I can do it at home so my hair looks great all the time.
I highly recommend Lisa Power Salon to anyone looking for a great cut and beautiful color plus this salon has a great staff and a very friendly atmosphere. You will love this place!
Pros: Fabulous cuts, great staff, friendly atmosphere
Cons: There are no cons. I love this place.

Best Salon! Best Haircolour! Best haircut!!!!
by Maddy G
Lisa spent a great deal of time with me and the challenges I had been having with past 'hair' experiences. She listens....but most importantly....she knows what to do with the information. Before finding this salon I had become discouraged with numerous other salons.
As my husband says, "when I'm happy with my hair....I'm happy with the world"!.....and you can only imagine when I'm not happy with my hair......So we are all grateful that I have found the best hair salon in the greater Seattle area!!
Pros: Detailed evaluation of the history of your hair & lifestyle
Cons: none

Bold cut and color
by Jen Pennington
When you cut 14 inches of hair off, you really want someone who knows what they are doing. You want them to be bold, and confident. After 20 years of long hair, it was time for a drastic change. Sarah was excellent and I love my new cut. Have since gone back for a trim and highlights. Love the new do!
Pros: Love the easy location and easy, personable service

High quality salon
by LisaM2009
I've been going to Jeremy for quite a while now, and each time he does a wonderful job. One of the things I appreciate the most is how he has a lot of ideas, if you're looking for them, but he's also more than happy just to listen and do whatever you'd like, if you already know what you want. He's also very good about explaining what he's doing, how to style the haircut, answer any other questions, etc. The people working here are true professionals, and it's clear they are invested in their clients. I feel like my hair looks better than it ever has. Two thumbs up.
Pros: Good service, good cuts, good color

After 45 years, I finally learned how to style my hair!
by FW Ann
Three years ago, I drove from Federal Way up to Queen Anne to get a hair cut after reading an article in Seattle Magazine about Lisa's salon. I really thought I'd go once, and then try to find something closer to home.
But I'm still a client, and I still make that drive every 6-7 weeks.
Jeremy is, without a doubt, the most talented hair professional I've ever encountered. I was feeling like a dowdy middle-aged mom when I started with him, and now, for the first time in my life, I actually LOVE the way I look, and I have to say--I think I look pretty darn hot! I can actually style my hair (pretty close to) the way he does it--because he's taken the time to show me what to do, and turned me on to the most amazing product of all time: Morroccan Oil.
Jeremy also shampoos my hair in a way that makes me want to go outside and have a cigarette afterwards. And I don't smoke. :)
I love this place, and cannot recommend it enough. Call NOW and make an appointment!!
Pros: Amazing stylists, cool vibe, everyone talks to each other!
Cons: Pricey--but worth it.

Lissy offers fresh new looks
by TamiC
Lissy helped me update my look! Not only did she give me a fresh new cut she taught me how to style it so I would not revert back to my old over done "helmet hair" look. I also recommend her for color. She used multiple colors so my hair looks vibrant and It doesn't show grow out. I look younger and I couldn't be more pleased with her customer service!
Pros: creative, great service, affordable

Lissy is fantastic!
by AnitaW
I love Lissy! I came to her a few weeks ago feeling very drab about my hair color. She sat down, listened to how I was feeling, and gave me lots of options. I totally trust Lissy, and was happy to put myself in her hands. Lissy's years of experience in hair and makeup, and her architecture background gives her great insight and perspective on hair design and color. She knows what looks good each individual! I was thrilled with my results, and got many compliments. I highly recommend Lissy.
The LP salon was awesome. They were very warm, friendly, and professional. They make it about YOU! I look forward to visiting again.
Pros: Excellent cut and color

Sarah Reilly is superb!
by sheilainSeattle
Well worth the price, Sarah Reilly is simply the best. Whether you need a stylish cut or eye-popping color and shine, Sarah is the one for you! Her cuts make my hair easy to style, beautiful while growing out, and reflect the latest design while complimenting my individual style. She listens to my preferences and provides great advice and knowledge. She has found the right balance between personable and professional. I'm constantly being complimented on my cuts and asked for her card. She is elegance and grace. A true artist!
Pros: Great location, talented staff, friendly welcoming atmosphere
Cons: high quality=high price, may have to wait for an appt.

One you'll keep coming back to
by laurenb774411
I recently moved to Seattle from Portland and after a few months (and a few Great Clips trims) I realized it was time to find a salon. I had been going to the same salon in Portland for years so I was a little anxious about finding a new one. After reading reviews of Lisa Power Salon on Citysearch and Yelp, I decided to try it out. I am happy to report that I have found a place I will keep coming back to. Corina helped me update my look with bangs and the day before I left for Mexico she gave me the most amazingly subtle and perfect highlights. At my first visit, I loved how she took the time to just sit down with me and talk about what I wanted to achieve with my hair. She's super cool and really listens! Plus, I trust her to tell me if she doesn't think a hairstyle or color will look good on me. The overall vibe of the salon is very relaxed and unpretentious. Everyone who works there seems to really enjoy it, which makes it a fun place to go. They sell hair products but I have never felt pressured to buy anything. I have found the prices for cuts/color are reasonable. Since going, I have recommended Corina at LPS to a friend with crazy curly hair, and I swear her haircut makes me want to have curly hair! So cute. All in all, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a hair salon they will want to keep coming back to (forever!). Ask for Corina!
Pros: Ambience, customer service, tea, good magazines
Cons: Parking (sometimes)

Sarah morphed me into a red hot mama!
by foxymama68
I have been seeing Sarah for over a year now and get compliments everywhere I go on my hair color. Sadly gone are the days when I played with my color for fun, now it is a serious cover up job with the entire gray coming in. Sarah suggested red and my first thought was that I would look ridiculous, not saucy enough for that transition. I am here to tell you that not only do I carry it off, women and MEN literally compliment me several times a week! We have had fun experimenting with different shades and my new look has definitely given me a confidence boost.
I appreciate Sarah's sense of humor and her unique style and personality. I trust her suggestions and feel like she truly wants to make me look my very best. We discuss fashion and she has helped me feel more comfortable with fashion choices and accessories that I thought looked great on others, but just weren't me. It's amazing the transformation that has taken place and as another poster commented, there are other things I am cutting back on but my salon visits are not one of them. Keep on rockin' Sarah, you are the real deal!
The rest of the staff is very friendly and Tami makes a kick a$$ latte!
Pros: scalp massage, fun, upbeat atmosphere
Cons: parking, but now they have a couple of reserved spots

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah...
by ktiallen
I have been seeing Sarah since she started at Lisa Power Salon in the exciting and hip Seattle area of Queen Anne. When I go in to see Sarah it's like treating myself to a day of luxury! When I get there she is quick to offer me my favorite beverage, an americano. Soon we are discussing what I want done. I have seen a lot of stylists in the past and even if I am specific to the angle I want to take with my look, they never seem to get it right. Sarah nails it every time, and in fact, I have even stopped telling her what I think first because I tend to like her ideas better. I consider myself a canvas awaiting a magnificent masterpiece! Oh, and one more thing...she gives a mean head massage :). Thank you Sarah!!
Pros: EVERYTHING!

Sarah at Lisa Power's Salon is AMAZING! !
by Stephany12
I am new to the Seattle area and we all know how hard it is to find a great hair person and once we find them it is hard to leave!! I went to the Lisa Power's salon for the first time where Sarah did an AMAZING job! After getting hilights for 10+ years I can easily say she is the best colorist! She really makes you feel pampered and special! They even offer you a complimentary latte while you are getting your hair done! She also gives you a relaxing scalp massage which is worth the trip on its own : ) They also have great hair products including a Moroccan oil which literally transformed my hair! I have tried every leave in conditioner and serum and this product is amazing and smells wonderful, gives you shine while conditioning and protecting your hair.
With all of the daily stresses we all combat, take the time for yourself to feel pampered you deserve it!
The staff is very friendly and it is a beautiful atmosphere. I would highly recommend the salon and Sarah to anyone looking for that special hair person : )

Corina is great new talent at Lisa Power Salon
by KarenLK
I love the service and personality at Lisa Power Salon. I've been seeing Corina there, who is an amazing new talent at the salon. I happened to find her at the Aveda Institute when she was finishing her schooling and followed her to Lisa Power Salon.
The extra training that they gave her at the salon was great and has really enhanced her already natural gifting in cutting hair. I have thin and fine hair which is tricky and I know of many hair stylists that can not do anything with it, but Corina is definitely able to jazz it up! I've gotten lots of compliments on my hair cut and it is so flattering on me!
Plus, the color that they use at the salon is amazing and long lasting. Corina did a great job coloring my tricky hair and even did unique things with it. I love coloring my hair red, whether it be auburn tones or brighter. Usually, all red colors fade fast and by the time I go to get a re-color, I am desperate for it. Not with the line they use here. I still look an amazing red when I go back 2 months later to get the color redone. It's great!!
Plus, they are also really good at extra service friendly treats, like a great scalp massage (Corina does a great one!) and oh, I can't forget the great tasting lattes they make there. It's such a treat to go to the salon and get a latte with your service!
They may be pricier, but so worth it with the talent and service that you receive there. After being in Seattle for 2.5 years and searching around for a stylist, I'm definitely staying with Corina for some time!

Times are tough but one thing I won't "Cut" out is Sarah at the Lisa Powers Salon
by eriba
It's almost impossible to not be stressed about money, especially when its all anyone talks about. So obviously when you decide to finally spend some, you want to make sure that you get even more than you paid for. So I said to myself that one thing I would not skimp on in 2009 is seeing Sarah at the Lisa Powers Salon because her cut and color combination is the best in Seattle and worth every cent. I have been going to Sarah for almost a year now and what she has done for my confidence and self esteem by making me look beautiful is worth a lot more than the price I pay. (cut is about 50 bucks and highlights are 130). For a high end salon with a layed back attitude the recession should not touch this salon a bit. Go see Sarah, you will not regret it.

Ultra cool new "calmed down" hair!
by SandyLSeattle
I've always struggled with curly, frizzy hair that won't do what I want it to. Lisa suggested I try this new Keratin smoothing system she has, so I gave it a shot and the results were FANTASTIC! It's smooth, straight, shiny, and beautiful -- it looks and feels so healthy, like it's the hair I was born with. Instead of struggling for ages with a flat iron to get a "sort of OK " look, now I can just wash it myself, blow-dry it out, and it stays smooth and straight, with just as much or as little of a gentle curl at the bottom as I happen to feel like styling in. I finally have the hair I've always wanted!
P.S. Lisa also does really amazing, beautiful work with color -- you should see the great, rich red I'm showing the world these days. (As well as a wonderful cut!)

Unbelievable new hair process
by CMajor
Lisa at Lisa Power Salon has been cutting and coloring my hair for many years. I love the salon because they are into new trends and technology. I've been complaining about getting older and how the texture of my hair has changed a lot in the past years - not for the better. Lisa talked to me about a new 'retexturizing' treatment. that the salon was offering. She and all her people are now licensed in this new process: It is amazing -- my hair is beautiful, straight and shiny - like I'm young again! Lisa always gives me fabulous cut and color - but this new treatment is fantastic. I love that Lisa Power Salon are of the few (if only?!) people in the city who have taken the classes for this new process. Love you Lisa - you're the best!

Wonderful Straight Hair
by LizLM
I am so happy with my smoothed hair. A smoothing system, I believe, is how Lisa described the treatment she recently applied to my hair. I always tell me friends, my hair is not curly enough to be curly enough to be cute, just curly enough to be annoying. My patience with a round brush and dryer is not high, but it didn't really matter because no matter how long I spent with my tools I always had something that kind of went were it wanted. After the straightening my hair just falls into place every day. Its so easy to make it just work out well. I've had several people tell me they really like my new style (I don't have a new style...just hair that will go with the plan). I love it!
Pros: Great upbeat atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, fabulous scalp massage

Amazing Hair Therapy!
by mad4
I love it, I love it, I love it! A few weeks ago, I was looking for something NEW for Fall and Lisa recommended I try the Keratin Therapy. Before the treatment, my hair was wavy and would frizz at even the slightest hint of moisture - not fun in predominately wet Seattle. So, I tried therapy - WOW - it's amazing - now my hair is soft, shiny and straight! No more time spent fighting to keep waves in check and it doesn't frizz out no matter the weather - it simply looks HEALTHY... Did I mention - I LOVE IT? :D

Love this place!
by kristakool
What a great salon ! I have been going to this salon for about 7 months now and have always left feeling great about the services I received. I typically go to Sarah for my cuts and colors but I am sure any stylist in this place would do an amazing job. It seems the owner has really taken the time to hand select a perfect combination of expertise and professionalism in each stylist.
If you are lucky enough to get into this salon, consider yourself blessed.
Pros: Vibe, skill sets of stylists, product lines
Cons: hard to see off street

Sadly disappointed
by bugaffin
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I am one of the few that did not have a good experience at Lisa Power Salon. I read the glowing reviews and decided to give the salon a try. I was referred to Jeremy, as I have curly hair and was looking to deepen my red color. I was unpleasantly surprised to find that he did not, in fact, know how to cut curly hair - at least not my curly hair. He took my existing style and removed about half of my hair by shearing out large chunks at a time. I recall being very nervous about this process, as none of my former stylists had been so extreme when removing volume from my hair. The color was nice, but nothing spectacular. It wasn't as red or auburn as I'd hoped, it's turned brassy over time, and the promise of a good grow-out color did not happen. The worst part of it all was that I left the salon with uneven hair. I hadn't realized this until I looked in a mirror more closely when I got home. The ends of my hair were so jagged that I had to have someone else take another inch off the length just to even things out. The stylist (at a different salon) who subsequently fixed my hair said that my hair had not been cut properly for curly hair. I've waited weeks for my thinned out hair to grow back and become fuller, but I suspect it will in fact take months. I was willing to try a new salon, especially one that specialized in red curly hair, but I must admit I was disappointed. My search for the perfect stylist continues...

Fabulous, fun, and you leave looking pretty
by Michelle214
Have you been wandering through your hair life looking for a salon and stylist that is inviting, has great stylists you would feel comfortable going to anyone, has great products AND a fabulous FRIENDLY knowledgeable receptionist? Your search is over. The Lisa Power Salon has all of this and more.
I have been going to the salon for more than a year. I know Lisa from briefly working at GM, she was one of my favorite stylists there not only is she talented with her clients, she is also a great teacher to new stylists. I see Jeremy and every so often Lisa, if they were booked I would book with Sarah (or anyone else at the salon). There is a talented stylist here for every pocketbook. Jeremy is fabulous, funny, and simply - talented. His cuts are great and grow out great. He listens to my newest idea and quietly fixes that idea so it actually works on my head then offers up a creative, fun color suggestion which ends how else, fabulously!
First time in? Not sure what you want or need? Tammy is the salon manager the woman behind the counter, the voice at the other end of the line who can answer your question. She is fully licensed to do hair, she assisted Gary Howse at GM for years, (she knows her S!*t). Any question you may have she can answer. Tammy will remind you the holidays are coming so it might be a good idea to book your next couple of appointments.... she will remember you the next time you're in. I love Tammy Faye and her "play by play".
This is a salon for all walks of life, go in wearing sweats to your fanciest fancy wear and you will be warmly greeted and treated. Lisa does great hair, she is running a great business and cares about her staff. The result is evident with the palpable feeling of comradery between all . In all the times I have visited the salon I have never had a problem with parking if the 3 reserved spots are full there seems to always be a street spot very close by. I highly recommend The Lisa Power salon.

A Much Needed Hair Makeover
by prncesspuff
I recently visited this salon for a cut and color. Expecting to walk out feeling like the same old me, I decided to let loose for once and let Sarah do her thing. She cut, colored and blow-dryed my hair and by the end it was a complete makeover. Although still me, it was a much hipper, vibrent, fun me. Although the price added up, it was still worth every cent and much cheaper than many, many other salons. I will 100% return to Sarah.
Pros: in the city, nice staff, friendly owner
Cons: parking, hard to see off street

Always the Best Experience at Lisa Powers Salon
by islandjmpermom
I typically do not write reviews for anything, let alone a salon, but I felt I had to let the Citysearch readers know how wonderfull the Lisa Powers Salon is. I have had a handfull of cuts and colors done by Sarah and have never left less than satisfied. The cuts are always modern but yet managable and the color actually lasts and keeps its debth weeks after it is applied. I appologize for not remembering the color line, however it is the best. The salon is modern yet not intimidating and the staff are the nicest staff in the North West. They serve you a coffee drink while you process which is wonderfull. All in all, I love to get my hair done by Sarah at the Lisa Powers Salon. Great place!

Seattle Magazine did not lie, Sarah is the best.
by emilyh1
I read about Lisa Power Salon in the Beauty Issue of Seattle Magazine. It highlighted that Sarah was one of Seattles Top Stylists and at an affordable cost so I thought why not give it a shot. I went in for just a cut and saw one of Sarahs clients come out and knew after seeing how awesome her hair color was that I would have to make an appt to get color too. I am so glad I did because my hair color and cut are the envy of all my friends. I actually told one friend that I went to a different salon because I don't want her to copy. I know I am mean but I like being the one in my group with the best hair. So thank you Seattle Magazine for letting me know about this little kept secret called Lisa Power Salon, but even better thanks for introducing me to Sarah. Incase you read this Sarah, THANKS you are the best!

Zoe is PHENOMENAL!
by faithfulfollower
I'm hesitant to write this because my secret will be out - but Zoe is phenomenal. Her colors are out of this world. I am a cautious 'coloree' - but every time she convinces me to experiment, I am thrilled with the results. Her cuts are what bring me back time and time again. She has an artist's eye for not only what is a contemporary style, but what will most compliment each client's facial structure, lifestyle, and spirit. In addition to feeling fabulous when you leave - you make a new friend when you go to Zoe. She is a gem.
Pros: It's all good!
Cons: No cons whatsoever

Zoe does awesome color!
by kindrabotz
She's probably the best stylists I've ever had. I found out about her just by asking a girl where she got her hair done so her work speaks for itself. Such and excellent colorist who can style hair just as well, is a rare find in my opinion. I've been a client of hers for a little while now and wouldn't dare go anywhere else. I too now get tons of compliments on my hair and peole ask me where I go all the time. I always love what she does with my hair, and the price is right, too.

The Lisa Power Salon is great. The staff are friendly, salon is hip, and the stylists are top notch.
I have had my hair cut and colored by Sara a few times and she does a great job. I have had many hair disasters at other salons but always leave this salon happy and feeling pretty. The salon also serves you up a nice coffee drink. For the price this salon can not be beat. Overall, this is a great salon!

SARAH'S CUT AND COLOR CAN NOT BE BEAT
by marti2008
SARAH AT THE LISA POWER SALON WAS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ME ALMOST A YEAR AGO AND I HAVE HAD ONE SOLID YEAR OF DROP DEAD GORGEOUS HAIR. SARAH NOT ONLY TALKS YOU THROUGH EACH PROCESS, SHE ALSO SAVES YOU FROM MAKING THE HORRIBLE MISTAKE OF THINKING YOU WOULD LOOK GOOD WITH A CERTAIN STYLE OR COLOR WHEN YOU KNOW YOU REALLY WOULDN'T. SARAH IS SO HONEST AND WORKS WITH YOU TO FIND THE BEST MATCH FOR YOUR FACE SHAPE, COLOR AND STYLE. MOST OTHER STYLISTS JUST DO WHAT YOU WANT AND LET YOU LEAVE UNSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED. NOT SARAH. SHE LEAVES YOU FELLING BEAUTIFUL AND SASSY. THERE ARE STYLISTS IN THIS WORLD WHO HAVE IT AND THOSE THAT DON'T. SARAH HAS IT AND SOME. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! SARAH IS THAT GOOD!
Pros: STAFF IS SO NICE/ SALON IS CUTE/ ON QUEEN ANNE
Cons: CAN NOT THINK OF A SINGLE THING.

I am so happy I found Zoe at Lisa Powers Salon. She is one of the best colorists/stylists I have ever used. She listens to what I want and knows exactly how to accomplish it. When I ask her advice, she is honest has has great ideas. I ALWAYS get compliments after I get my hair done. What I really appreciate is that she is affordable. I used to go to another prestigious salon here in town, but it was sooo expensive and I just could not justify spending that much on my hair anymore. Also, Lisa Powers is such a nice, caring person. She honestly cares about the people who patronize her salon. I am so happy to have finally found a place that does quality work, affordable, and has such great people!
Pros: Friendliness, competency, champagne!
Cons: parking!!!!

LISA POWER SALON MAKES A DIFFERENCE... Cuts for the Cure Supporting the Susan G Komen 3 Day Walk!
by skurtz9
You are truly an amazing group of individuals who make a difference in your community!
On Sunday June 22nd Lisa Power and her staff Jeremy, Zoe, Sarah, Tammy, and Marley opened their doors to help support me and the Susan G Komen 3 Day Walk by raising $3,000!!! This group of individuals are absolutely amazing and their clients equally so! The entire salon came together to make this event an incredible success and rocked the house! They not only donated their time (and only day off) but they donated 100% of services dollars generated for the day and all retail sale profits! We had friends and family supporting this event as well as new friends made from the community. Many new hairstyles were created as well as many memories!
This event was an amazing success with so many haircuts, colors, foils and oh the retail sales. We had Katherine, one of Jeremy's clients, come in on Sunday while running errands just to pick up her retail products because she knew all profits would go towards the Susan G Komen 3 Day... WOW! To all of the wonderful people that made this a successful event "I THANK YOU!"
As a 3 Day Walker it is a minimum requirement to raise $2,200 and my goal is to raise $10,000 by September 2008! Lisa Power Salon just brought me one step closer by donating $3,000 to make $8,408 only $1,600 to go to reach my final GOAL! My mom is a two time breast cancer survivor that is why it is so important to me to help raise money to help find a cure!
To Lisa, Jeremy, Zoe, Sarah, Tammy, and Marley words cannot express how much I appreciate all of you for helping me to make a difference! You are lucky to work with such amazing individuals and have such wonderful clients! Lisa you have created such a wonderful environment for your staff and customers to truly LIVE, LAUGH and BE PRETTY!
Mommies for Mammies 3 Day Walker - Stacy
Pros: Amazing Staff!

A contemporary and well and organized salon filled with light is the perfect environment for an afternoon at the hair salon. My first appt was with Zoe, she the got color and the cut perfect on her first try. She is an easy going, professional with extensive experience. I had complete confidence almost immediately. Before leaving the salon, I scheduled my next appointment with Zoe. I highly recommend her.

GREAT ALL AROUND! LOVE,LOVE,LOVE the COLOR from SARAH

I HAD MY HAIR COLORED BY SARAH AT THE LISA POWER SALON TWO WEEKS AGO AND WAITED TO SEE IF THE COLOR WOULD CHANGE BEFORE WRITING THIS REVIEW. SURPRISE TO ME, TWO WEEKS LATER AND MY HAIR IS STILL RADIANT. I HAVE HAD MORE COMPLIMENTS THAN I CAN COUNT AND HAVE NEVER HAD SO MUCH DIMENSION IN MY HAIR. THE PRODUCTS AT THIS SALON ARE AS GOOD AS IT GETS AND THE SERVICE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. I HAVE PAID MUCH MORE AT OTHER SALONS (Marco/Gary Manuel) AND I HAVE NEVER FELT AS SATISFIED. SARAH IS A COLOR EXPERT AND THIS SALON WILL BE AT THE TOP OF MY REFERRAL LIST. A+++
Pros: PRODUCT LINE, FRIENDLY, ON QUEEN ANNE
Cons: A LITTLE HIDDEN, PARKING

Thank you Sara for making me feel pretty again. From the moment I walked in that Salon I knew I had made the right choice. The staff is friendly but nothing compares to the experience of having Sara cut and color your hair. She took my drab look and transformed me into the sizzling hot mom I knew I was inside.
Worth every cent and would recommend to anyone and everyone who is looking for a top notch stylist at a realistic price. Once again Sara, thanks for making me feel pretty again.
Pros: products, chairs are comfortable, great environment, nice staff

Zoe did a fantastic job on my super fine hair!
by bellinghamnmft
I drive from Bellingham to Seattle for haircuts because I have super fine, silky hair that shows every miscut strand. I had been going to another Seattle salon but the stylist moved away - horror! - so I found Lisa Power salon here on CitySearch and made an appointment.
They booked me with Zoe, and I have to agree with the other reviews here; she's awesome! Friendly, professional but easygoing, and she really knows what she's doing, so I had enough confidence to say, "Do whatever you think is best!" First of all, she analyzed my face and head shape, and I do mean analyzed! She pulled my hair back and did this measuring thing with her fingers to find the broadest and narrowest places on my face. She then flattened my hair tight against my head and found all the swirls, cowlicks, and flat spots. Then she got busy cutting, and explained to me throughout the process what she was doing and why she was doing it. She was also a great teacher and showed me how to style it at home. My hair, because it's so fine, is limited in what it can do, but Zoe's cut and style advice made it the best it can be. I'm going back in a few months for color and will definitely say, again, "Do whatever you think is best!"
Thanks, Zoe!
Pros: great skill, friendly atmosphere
Cons: $70 for a cut kinda pushes my budget, parking is scarce

SARAH RILLEY ROCKED MY WORLD!!!
by cbike2214
All the tons of positive reviews, Seattle Magazine and buzz on the street did not do justice to how talented Sarah Rilley is.
I am so glad I found Lisa Powers Salon. I came in with average hair and came out with banging runway style. She colored, cut, and conditioned better than I had ever had.
Basically, SARAH ROCKED MY WORLD!
Pros: to much to list
Cons: not one

Zoe Boysen workes wonders!
by SiselyJHouser
I knew that Zoe was coming to work in Seattle because my best girlfriend has been going to her for years, and recommended her to me a while ago. Well, last week the woman I see downtown had to cancel my appointment, so I went to Lisa Power Salon to see Zoe yesterday. First of all, the salon is in a convenient location, easy to park but right near everything on lower queen anne. When I walked in I was asked if I wanted coffee, tea, water, wine...I grabbed a magazine and waited with my coffee, and just a few minutes later, Zoe confidently walked up, greeted me, and ushered me to her chair. I have to say, just by the way she conducted herself, I was filled with confidence, but it's so much more than her personality. She really listens to you...talks through all the options, engages you the entire time, and KNOWS what she's doing. I fancy myself a bit of a style snob, so I suppose I wasn't really prepared to feel I would end up in the hands of someone so capable. My hair is a more beautiful color than it's ever been...(deep mahogony red) and it feels healthier and softer too! I highly recommend going to Lisa Power Salon and making an appointment with Zoe. You won't regret it!

The magic of Zoe Boysen has arrived in Seattle!
by shelleyr
I was referred to Zoe for a color and cut makeover two years ago and discovered this intense, talented muse whose hands and scissors seem to be one as they flutter above your head to create the look you've dreamed about. She listens... and them makes "your look" appear... as if magic...while coaching you on how to create it on your own. Time in her chair is worth every minute!

Zoe is the best!
by Ivilina
I moved to Seattle 3 years ago and I have been constantly looking for a hair stylist. I found Lisa Power Salon in this City Guide and I know that Lisa's salon will be my favorite place!
Zoe makes my hair look great, color looks very natural and her hands move in a magical way with the scissors! I am traveling to Europe next week and I look fabulous! Thank you Zoe!

Fabulous people, HOT hair
by Martythepug
I am blown away w/ the expertise and hands down talent @ the Lisa Power Salon... Lisa and her attractive, friendly staff will be sure to "treat you right". Having known from experience about each individuals amazing "eye" for detail ( I once had the amazing opportunity of working w/these A-listers) you cannot go wrong. It is absolutely worth every pretty penny, and Seattle sure seems to LOVE having them... CONGRATS Lisa on the great City Search reviews!

Lisa Power ROCKS!
by remediva
Lisa is an artist, pure and simple.
I have naturally red, naturally curly hair. When I first went to see her it was for help fixing my color, which had been ruined by another stylist. She took the time to consult with me about what I wanted and discussed options at length. She got it 100% right on the first try, and I've never gone anyplace else since.
She is an absolute magician with reds, for sure, but she also tamed my unruly, curly mop. I always leave there with an AMAZING cut - she understands how to deal with curly hair (she's a curly girl herself) of all shapes and sizes. I can't recommend her highly enough. The best in Seattle, hands-down.
Pros: Great atmosphere - Lisa really cares about your entire experience from in the door to back out.
Cons: Pricey, but TOTALLY WORTH EVERY CENT.

FINALLY MY SEARCH IS OVER. THANK GOD I FOUND SARAH THE *STAR *
by starrising41
I have searched way to many websites reading review after review and all I hoped for was that one shining star that would stand out among the rest. Wholly smokes I found her. Her name is Sarah and without a doubt I agree with the hundreds of amazing reviews written about her, including Seattle Magazines little blurb. She really is one of the best top stylists in Seattle. For Gods sakes, she actually made my out of control hair mess tame and sleek with a banging color combination and cut. Trust me, that is not an easy job and for that is the reason why my search for the perfect stylist is finally over. (oh and she is really down to earth and awesome to talk to as well :) )
Pros: Style of salon is hip yet down to earth
Cons: the music was kinda low so you can hear everyones conversations (but not that bad)

Thank you to everyone at Lisa Power for making my experience wonderful each and every time! You guys and gals are the best!
Pros: Great cut, great color, great highlights, great company
Cons: None!!!

Best confidence booster!!! Jeremy is awesome
by Ashleyv09
Jeremy made me look like a new person. I picked a haircut that I wouldnt have normally chosen in the past being that my hair has always been long but Jeremy did an awesome job. He also did an amazing job on coloring my hair. I wasnt planning on doing color but by his recomendation, I decided to go ahead with it. The color really completed the look. He really has an eye for what looks good!
Overall my experience was so great and I cannot wait to visit him again! I would recommend him to anyone:)

Simply fabulous!
by ssafavian
It's no secret that most women head to the salon after a breakup. New hair, new outlook, new YOU (well, usually). Sad thing is, 9 times out of 10, these women emerge with a haircut that sounded good in their head at the time but later hated themselves later for being impulsive.
Sarah was NOT going to let me be one of these women. We talked at length about what to do with my crazy curly/wavy/mind of it's own hair (she loved it long, I wanted a change). Sarah didn't want me to be impulsive but wanted to give me the change I wanted. We decided to shorten it a little and turn up the layers. I'm so glad I heeded her advice. Not only did she expertly snip away and style my hair into what we called movie star hair, she was wonderful to talk to. I'm going back to see her in two weeks for some much needed color.
Lisa, the owner, came around and checked in with all the clients to see how everything was going. What an awesome chick! She really believes in her slogan and it shows (live. laugh. be pretty). I hear she is the master at color, especially for going red.
This place will make you feel fabulous.

ZOE IS A HAIRCOLOR LIFESAVER!
by grmfield
I came in a carrot and left a blonde. How it happened, I do not know, but it is Zoe who is responsible. My haircolor was absolutely saved by her. She is a haircolor genius as well as an artist. I have naturally brown hair that had been previously dyed red. I few days ago I went to a different salon to go blonde. I got a full foil and ouch. I turned out looking like a toehead on top and a carrot on the bottom. Ugly brassy orange and my hair was frizzy and dry. Complete disaster. Lisa was so sweet and comforting on the phone. I instantly felt loads better. They got me in THAT DAY and were so welcoming, understanding, and got me smiling right away. Now I absolutely love my color. Zoe was very quick, sweet, and fun to talk to. And like I said, amazing at what she does. I am now blonde with some golden highlights (her idea) with not a bit of orange or brass. While the color was developing, she was constantly attentive, checking the foils and adding more goop here and there. Definitely a perfectionist, which I am all for when it comes to my hair! I left exuberantly happy, with hair that feels soft, shiny, and not dry! Who knows how she did that, considering this is my second dye job in three days. Lovely staff, awesome salon, delicious wine..please go here for great hair! I've never written a review before to anything, but after this experience (going from panic-stricken to ridiculously happy) I just had to.
Pros: HIGHLY skilled, friendy, laidback, not snooty, knowledgeable about hair

Wonderful Hair Experience
by prettypaige
What a wonderful experience, great from the very beginning. Tammy is terrific at the desk, really welcomes you. Both Lisa and Sarah are wonderful. Sarah did a wonderful job on my totally fried over processed hair. I cannot wait until she can highlight this. I am really considering switching to her for a cut as well. Everyone is so down to earth, warm and friendly. Great atmosphere, nice place to go. Highly recommend this salon.
Pros: Warm, friendly and sincere.
Cons: Parking could be an issue, but they do have the 3 spaces accross the street

So Many Reviews about Sarah Riely I had to try for Myself, GLAD I DID!
by tthwrth
I have read a ton of reviews about Sarah Riely's amazing work on Citysearch and always thought about giving her a try, but always ended up going back to my comfort zone with a stylist who I have been unhappy with for years. Until I read her write up in Seattle Magazine and realized it was time. I made an appointment and started telling my friends about my decision. Funny how word of mouth works because one of my friends (whose hair I love) already goes to Sarah. After getting my hair cut and colored I can see why all the positive reviews. Now there are two of us in our group of friends who have radiating hair. I sure am glad I gave her a try. I will definitely return!
Pros: sarah is down to earth
Cons: the owner is a little loud
