A.P. Deli has the best corned beef in Chicago. I never had a great tasting corned beef before until I tasted A.P. Deli's. It makes you keep coming back for more. I must say that everything that I have tasted was very good. I have been eating here for many year's and I will never stop[ eating or stop going ]. Anyone that said that they are not good must be crazy. I will rate them a 10 all around the board.

Place is small, dirty, and the meat is highly questionable. Very chewy and quality is quite poor. If your hungry and do not care about a quality made sandwhich this is your spot. Morry's Deli in Hyde park makes AP Deli just look really bad in comparison. Very poor sandwhich that is difficult to eat. Cheap quality, preperation and staff are not customer friendly. Was very disappointed. Do not waste your time. If you want an amazing sandwhich I highly recommend Morry's Deli in Hyde Park, 55th and Cornell!

If you are looking for a mammoth cornbeef sandwich, that is capable of feeding two people or one very hungry person - this is the place. It is unpretentious, and inocuous at best. The sandwiches are reasonably priced, under $6. You would never believe that this nondescript little place, was capable of making the most tasty corned beef or pastrami sandwiches, that you would ever taste in your life. The meat is cut thick on slices of rye, with peppers in a bag on the side. It takes two hands to eat the sandwich. You can definitely make two or three sandwiches out of the one sandwich. They use Vienna beef products, that melt in your mouth. The meat is chewy, but not too chewy. Mouth watering and tasty. Just thinking of them, makes you want to venture to one of their various 2 suburban locations in Harvey and Hazelcrest. They have four locations on the southside and in downtown Chicago. Make sure that you are hungry, because you will definitely not be able to finish this sandwich at one sitting.

PROS: Great sandwiches, piled high, at great prices
CONS: If you blink, you would probably pass the place
