i went to americas thirft store in roebuck, alabama and bought a 50 inch flat screen tv for $199.99. within the 30 day warranty the tv would come on for about 10 seconds, start flashing red light on the power button and the picture would cut off but sound still worked, so i took it back to get fixed. the 1st person i talked to said if i dont get a call from them in 3 days to call them back and find out whats going on. if it cannot be fixed they can give me store credit and the tv would be retaged and sold AS-IS. 3 days passed and i called they told me the man that fixes the tvs is not there so i asked the employee about the tv and he said HE thinks the tv repair man said it had a bad bulb, but i would need to call back the next day to talk to the repair man.I called a tv repair shop in birmingham,al to find out how much it would be to replace the bulb and he told me flat screen tv do not have bulbs, they have somthing else in the back (i do not remember the name he call it) but it would cost around $150 max.Next day i called the thrift store and the rewpair man was not there once again so i asked about the tv the employee told me they did not know where it is they lost the top half oh the ticket they woul get the tv repair man to find the tv and call me back he never did.next day i called and finally spoke to the tv repair man, he told me the tv could not be repaired due to the bad bulb and they are going to give me the store credit for it when i bring in the other half of the ticket. i told him i did not want the store credit i called a real tv repair shop and there is not a bulb in flat screens, so i was going to take the tv to someone who knows how to do repairs, then he tell me they no longer have the tv, they threw it in the trash because it was not any good. i called corp about this but still have not got any answer about this since.I believe they did sell it as-is not thinking i wanted it back, so they lied to me telling me they trashed it. after this is all over i will not be going back to that location again.every person i talked to in that store (except for that 1st man i spoke with) is an idiot!

I visit this thrift store occasionally. If you are selective and take time to look then you can find some good deals. My family often buy books here because you can get them for a fraction of the original costs. The store is very large with a good selection.
