.

I received a call from someone a week ago. She calls my cell, asking me tons of questions before she lets me know what she wants. She already had my name and address, so she was initally just asking me to confirm. I stopped her and asked what it was for, and she claimed she couldn't answer and the call would be ended if I didnt respond. She next ask me to confirm my bday, (stupidly) but that was my breaking poing. I insisted that she give me some info. She claimed the call to be regarding a traffic violation - failure to yeild. She then tried to get my DL# and telling me I had a fee of about $200+. I refused to give it to her. Then I got pissed and told her to just send somthing in the mail if she was legit. Today I received a letter in the mail from the Pct 5, Pl 2. It looks fishy. Seal is not raised and unclear and does not line up on back and front. Pct 5, Pl 2 is spelled out- I don't recall it typically listed that way. Letter also states that its a "notice of non-appearance." I never received an original notice to appear in the first place. Then there's this website www.jp.hctx. net which does not seam right when I Google Harris County Courts. Something doesn't seem right here. I'll be on the phone 1st thing tomorrow morning to get down to the bottom of this. But I wanted to send out a word of caution just in case. There are a lot of good for nothing scammers out there just waiting to pounce on a victim. Oh yeah, I had a small fender bender about 2 months ago, so I'm going to verify to be sure that this letter is not related to that incident...could possibly be legit or it could be some fraudulent employees at the Court running some elaborate fraudulent ring. Just be careful!

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Tacky Approach

This had nothing to do with his court, but I had some legal issues with my subdivision Management Company and board of directors and he got me in touch with someone who could help. My family and I might have lost our home if he had not taken the time to care and give good advice. I had a couple of tickets in his court over a 30 year period and he was always fair...and entertaining. He joked around, but was always in control of the courtroom. The one thing he NEVER joked about were people arrested for DUI. He was dead serious when he dealt with them! God bless him. May he has a long and happy retirement with his family. He has earned it!

I asked the clerk in room 7 about an issue and her answer was YES, when I asked if she could put her statement in writing with a signature, she gave me a bad attitude and changed her answer to that same question to a NO. Judge Yeoman! Stop with the jokes. Do you're job and will you show up more often than not. THAT IS WHAT WE PAY YOU FOR! And mr Baliff! Stop acting like the toughest guy in town. What is wrong with you people!!

Pros: goofy JUDGE--VERY WIERD

Cons: GOOFY JUDGE

If you don't want to pay to go to a comedy club, Go to Judge yeoman's court on Fridays for some good laughs. He is truly funny. He has large dockets to encourage offenders to plea out rather than go to trial. I WOULD RATHER SEE HIM PERFORM THAN go to municipal court any day of the week. One downside is Yeoman is gone alot and sometimes you get this backwoods substitute judge from Pasadena who is awful- he can't tell jokes and reminds me of a usedf car salesman.
