Bashans Painting

Bashans Painting just completed my house! The complete exterior is beautiful. We were quoted 4 days and was finished in 3. The Hardi Plank has made our hse look new. Mr. Bashans took the time to explain the work and the estimate was very close to accurate. We need our complete interior painted....Bashans Painting will be our call!!

bashans painting is probably one of the worst companies i've ever done business with. just a short list of promises that were broken:

LIE: job will be done in 1 day
REALITY: 3 consecutive days and then 1 more day 2 weeks later to correct all the mistakes

LIE: there will be an english speaking foreman on the job
REALITY: only 2 non-english speaking workers

LIE: bashans will return calls
REALITY: they will rarely call back and act confused if you refer to past conversations

LIE: bashans will set up reliable appointments
REALITY: again, they will act confused and deny past conversations. and if they do come out, it's just to check out your place and then reschedule for another day.

LIE: bathroom costs $100 to paint
REALITY: "misquoted", real cost is $250

and then here's some of the other things that went wrong:

1) the workers spent nearly 3 hours hammering at the wall trying to install crown moulding before admitting that they didn't know how to do it. THEN they left the materials on my front porch in the rain for almost 2 weeks

2) they installed trim and paneling around a doorway, but unevenly installed the top part

3) i REPEATEDLY called the main office to try and get an english speaker out to the house so i could do a walk-through with them to point out all the mistakes. a receptionist promised bashan would call back; he never did. called again the next week to schedule an appointment; they never wrote it down.

4) another worker came out to install crown molding and window trim and said it would be a 1-2 day job; he showed up at 8, left to get materials, and did not call back until 3pm to let me know he'd have to reschedule, even though i had already taken the day off from work to be there.

5) the painters used the wrong kind of "spackle-in-a-can" to patch up holes that did not absorb paint evenly and looked blobby and blotchy on the walls

6) while i was ON VACATION with my wife, bashans called me to let me know they were done with the job (which was almost 3 weeks late by this point) and became rude and insulting on the phone when i could not pay that instant, EVEN THOUGH i had not received a copy of the invoice AND i was out of town!

7) the BIGGEST problem of all, when the painters worked in the kitchen, they moved the fridge on top of the water line, which recently sliced open under the fridge's weight, spilling gallons of water all over the floors

bashans painting truly is the lowest priced painter in katy or houston, but you will definitely get what you pay for.

The work was not as promised. The iron rails were not propertly primed so rust spots showed through the new paint within a couple of months. The experior was not fully caulked as promised. Some of the rotten wood was not replaced but simply painted over. To make matters worse, Bashan started calling daily and leaving rude and threatening messages the day after they announced that they were done. They had not even given us the final bill for over a week but kept on calling and being rude and threatening every day anyway. When we told them that there were problems, the calls and threats continued. He did fix some of it, but his attitude was so agressive and bad that my wife would not talk to him or meet with him to show him problems after a while. It is still not fixed right two months later. If he wsa not so rude and agressive, I am sure we could have worked it all out by now.
