I brought my car in for an oil leak. AAMCO gave me a fair price to do the repair. I needed new valve cover gaskets and head gaskets. When they did thier engine check they noticed the oil pan gasket was leaking as well. My car was at a different shop a week before for an oil change and they did not mention the oil pan gasket leak. I asked to see the leak and they allowed me to come down and go underneeth my car to see exactly what was going on. I reccomend these pro's to everyone. Thank you Scott and crew.

I had aamco change my oil pan gasket on December 4, 2010 an they did a great job, it is not leaking anymore. An they changed my flywheel on December 20, 2010 an I'm totally satisfied with that work, my car runs great now.

John Garcia, Manager at AAMCO neglected to mention my car was under factory warranty. My car had transmission issues and was being prepared for repairs. After the transmission was dropped I was told by a 3rd party after the transmission had been removed my car was still under warranty. I was told to have the transmission re-assembled and have the car transported to the GM dealership. AAMCO (Garcia) has admitted their negligence in the due diligence of this repair. Garcia has severed all communication and refuses to resolve this situation. He has provided no Customer Service on this issue and refuses to speak to me on this.

In today's society, professional service, accurate information, and courteous treatment are so often absent from most consumer transactions, we felt compelled to take time to let everyone know about this place. My transmission went out while I was visiting Dallas to put my son on a plane to North Carolina, over four hours from where my husband and I reside. We were referred to Aamco from a service station in the area, and it was truly a blessing in disguise. Upon Arriving at Aamco, we were greeted by John and Lionel and they were extremely knowledgeable and professional.
Lionel explained exactly what repairs were needed in layman terms, to ensure my husband and I understood the entire process. We explained that my husband was scheduled to fly out the following day to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas (US Army) for seven weeks and that my knowledge of Dallas from San Antonio was minimal.... not to mention having to rent a vehicle to get to Dallas to retrieve my van.
As I was about to have a serious anxiety attack, but before my breathing excelled, Lionel made it disappear before it materialized. He coordinated my repairs to be done later in the week to afford me the opportunity to make arrangements to get back to Dallas without having the added stress of scheduling timelines. Knowing the exact amount the repairs would cost assisted greatly with budgeting for a family of six.
Lionel made our entire association with Aamco Transmissions "WONDERFUL" and has earned our business for life.

Finally, a honest transmission shop!: I brought my 1990 GMC Suburban to John at the Addison Aamco. My whole transmission had to be rebuilt. John was in no hurry to sell me a big job, and took the time to inform me of the pros and cons of buying a junkyard tranny. He gave me a VERY competative price, and had the truck back to me in a week. There were a few issues that needed to be fixed under warrenty, and also a few after the warrenty had expired, but John and his team fixed them with no extra cost to me, and without hesitation. The Addison Aamco is staffed by good people, and is lead by a good guy. You should give them a try if you need transmission work. I also found out, with tranny repair, you really do get what you pay for!

Addison Aamco employees are not good communicators. They had my car for 8 torturous days of misunderstandings, hours between call backs, no call backs and excuses. They say they tape record everything but when I challenged the employee who lied to his boss and asked his boss to listen to the tape of our conversation, imagine that, the one taped conversation that would have proved he lied couldn't be found. He tried to charge me 100% mark up on a part not thinking I would actually call a supply house to confirm the actual price to them. I called transmission and auto repair shops and found out that normal markup is only 15%, not 100%. When he was caught he made up a story about me needing another part to make up for the price difference. I run a service business and communicate all day with customers. If I treated our customers like they do we would certainly be out of business! Don't take your car there for transmission work until they fire Lionel and then be very careful. Let them know you will get a second opinion and check what they are saying with a reputable source first. We completely understand the amount of work that goes into repairing a transmission but communication, honesty and integrity are key when dealing with customers.
