.

I went in there after being told not to go there. Last time my spouse went in for a walk-in and waited 2 1/2 hours with my boys and was not seen so he left. I decided to give them another chance because I really like Dr. Purcell and was seen by him last year. I walked in on a Wednesday Oct 24th to be exact @ 1:50pm. A lady name Yolanda had her back turn and was eating salad. I asked her if a walk -in was possible and she nodded yes. I sat down and waited about 15 minutes while she continued to eat her salad. Another woman walked in with Popeye??s and she asked her "have they been helped?" Yolanda continued to eat and then said to the lady, ??Go eat they are just walk-ins?. I got up then and asked her how long is this going to take? After appropriately interrupting her she said? We see our 2:15, 2:45 and then at 3pm walk-ins start?. I then told her it was very rude for her not to advise me of her walk-in times and just eat. Then she yelled at me ??you??re rude for coming in our lunch time?. First of all their lunch time is not posted or their walk-in hours for that matter. I advised her she was the rude one and walked out. I would NEVER go there and will also advise others not to go there.
Tricare is accepted everywhere and is utilized by active duty soldiers, their family members as well as retirees. Unfortunately because Purcell Eye Clinic is on a military installation, service members and their family believe that Purcell Eye Clinic is the only facility they are able to use, so they go there. This is wrong. Paying customers or anyone seeking services should not be treated in this manner. Eating at the front desk in front of patients is an Infection control violation not to mention very unprofessional.
Today I called the facility to find out more information so that I could report Yolanda and was very displeased to find out that she is the Office Manager. I advise everyone not to go to this place of business because of the poor customer service. Do not waste your time.
