I went in for this treatment for my 'wings' under my arms and saw instant results. You can ask the tech to see my pictures :) I copied this info from their web site to help explain it. I really liked it!

What is the Accent XL?
The Accent XL is a skin tightening and body contouring device that that uses dual layer thermatherapy technology.

What are the benefits of treatments with Accent XL?
You can reduce circumference of body areas, increase collagen production, decrease skin laxity, decrease the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and cellulite.

What is dual layer thermatherapy?
Dual layer thermatherapy is the use of two radio frequency modes, unipolar and biplor, within one device to generate the desired results.
? Bipolar create local superficial deraml heating on delicate areas to increase tightness
? Unipolar provides deep dermal and subdermal heating of larger areas

How does dual layer thermatherapy work?
It works be gradually heating the dermal and subdermal tissue to tighten and recontour both superficially and by volume.
Collagen fibers contract and multiply, which firms and improves the laxity
Connective tissue contracts to improve the skins contour, texture and shape
Circulation improves, retained fluides drain from tissue to reduce overall volume

What parts of the body can I treat?
Due to the dual handpieces you are able to treat all parts of the body including the face!

What do the treatments feel like?

My girlfriend went to this place for a consultation a few weeks ago. Signed up and had her first treatment and had these burn marks over her legs. I was going to go with her to this spa and I am so glad I didnt go! She told me when she called the person told her that someone would call her back and they didnt. Not only that but it seems the prices change all the time. When she asked to add her underarms it was all the sudden almost $700 cheaper than the first time the girl tried to sell her it. They say they offer better everything, but speaking to other laser places I think this is just a sales tactic. I suggest anyone thinking about going here really do their homework! I am now going to Ideal Image and havent had an issue yet.

I was very excited when my sister and I decided to get laser hair removal. Since Sona is one of the leading places to go, it was an easy choice, We booked both of our consultations and our appointments to have the hair removal done on the same day. We did this since my sister lives three hours away and it is difficult for her to get to Frisco unless she makes plans in advance Having the consultation and appointment in the same day would save her a trip. We booked these appointments two months out and she had made arrangements to come for the procedure (with two small children this is not an easy task). One week before we were scheduled we were called and told our appointments needed to be rescheduled. After pleading to find some way to at least let my sister keep her appointment since she was driving so far, there were no results. The staff seemed totally unsympathetic and still insisted to reschedule. I called Ideal Image in Plano, and the staff said no matter what they would accomodate us whenever we needed our appointments even if it meant they come in early or stay late. Now that is what I call customer service.

I called Sona back in December to schedual a consoltation.. The staff is very nice... Except it's been twice now where there has been a family emergency or something and my appointment got reschedualed... but that didn't really bother me... I feel like they don't tell me everything I need to know about my procedures and what I should do before and after.. I am getting Laser Hair removal...and the RN told me right before she was about to start that I could have put a numbing cream on an hour before I came...What? No one ever told me... If I didn't know anything about laser hair removal I wouldn't of known that I was supposed to shave...they never told me...and they also never told me (until i went for my first appointment) that I couldn't have the procedure done because i was taking a certain medication.. which is fine...but they could have told me BEFORE i drove all the way over there...

The RN was really nice..but there was something I didn't like about her..i dont know what it is though...maybe her tone on how she would say somethings...

The ladies at the desk are really sweet...The place is very calming and relaxing...

but they take too long the call you in your appointment when your in the waiting room..

I would recommend this place

I agree with Hot mom on laser hair removal apointments, they are a very popular place for a good reason. That is why I ALWAYS schedule my next appointment in a month from my last treatment. You know how long it takes for your hair to grow out so it's pretty easy to figure out...well at least for me. I make a full beauty day and put the kids in the daycamp in Frisco so there are no demands to keep me my best for my family and myself. If you are looking for aome vitamine infusions they do that as well with some treatments. Give them a try and set a beauty day for yourself, after all don't we deserve it? :)

The treatments are good and I am seeing results from the laser hair removal however I can never seem to get an appointment. When I finally get an appointment, I get a call and for some reason or another I have to be rescheduled. It has happened to me more than once. I don't know if they just don't have enough people to do the treatments or if they just wanted my money. I don't appreciate being told if I am late I have to reschedule but sometimes I have to wait 15 minutes to get treated or my appointments are constantly being rescheduled. My schedule is very busy so usually, I can't make my appointments in advance. I have to call when I can and this seems to be a problem. It is kind of difficult to recommend any of my friends or family because they will pay a lot of money for the service and then won't be able to get an appointment.

I attended this Frisco's SPA's open house on a whim awhile back... and who can turn down free services, food and drink! So happy I did. This is THE MEDSPA IN FRISCO and from now on this is MY SPA. The open house was really a treat, incredibly nice folks who offered up advice, services (make-over, micro-dermabrasion, and a sono facials ), but more importantly did not try to push sales at me. The facilities were beautiful, clean, serene and everyone who works there is absolutely beautiful! All treatments were wonderful, professional, relaxing and pleasant..but more importantly showed results! The experience was so nice, I decided after a two and a half year hiatus from botox to give Sona med spa a try. A couple of years ago I had a bad experience at another Spa. I went in with a coupon for botox, and walked out $2,100 poorer and essentially unhappy with the results. Yes, I buckled under the high sales pressure. Needless to say...I never went back. I discussed the procedure with the Sona Med spa doctor and decided to go for it. I'm so happy I did. First, there is no high pressure sales. If after meeting with the spa gals you decide to go for it, so be it. If not, no problem. My first surprise was the cost...I knew exactly what the treatment would cost before he did it, and it was surprisingly less than I paid previously per unit! Let me say that again...less money per unit. I had smoker's lines on both sides of my mouth that are gone now using only 1 unit each. He used much less botox that I had previously and the results were better and pain-free. No lines on my forehead, no crunch between my brows, my crow's feet are gone too! I have lost the wrinkles but not the movement...what a difference. The staff at Sona in Frisco seem to actually "like" what they do and prefer to find out what you want, rather than tell you what they think you need. They are caring, kind and courteous. Give it a try.

I have gone to several different med spas including Sona in Frisco. I completely disagree with the review below. I find it interesting that this person claims to have gone to this location for over a year, but has only written ONE review on Citysearch and only on sona ..hmmmmm. Personally, I think it's a dissatisfied EX-EMPLOYEE . I have had nothing but excellent service at this med spa in Frisco. I have actually met ONE man in all of the time I have gone there and that is the back office manager, so perhaps it's because they have a team that all works together that she got a man once in 12 months. Don't you think it sounds odd? Anyway I just HAD to write on this one because I write many reviews on Citysearch and that person is giving Sona med spa a bad rap. This location is beautiful, the staff outstanding and VERY educated on how to please a client ( and I am not easy to please) . Perhaps that gal below should call and ask for the male office manager and see if he can help he with her ( issues) concerns. He's quite pleasant too :)

This place is a mess! I have been going here for about a year ( just to finish what I payed for since there are no refunds after you pay for your package or so they say). I have one more treatment left and I still have some hair. Much better than when I started though. The treatments are not the issue at this place, the issue is the lack of customer servie and avalibty. The last time I called to make my appointment a man answered the phone to book my bikini. It took 15 min to set up an appointment that takes 30min! There were no times so I had to book a month out to get a time that worked for me! Not only was I uncomfortabe talking to a man about my bikini treatements, then was asked if I had paid! I paid for my packge almost a year ago why am I still getting asked to pay!!!! They have no issue rescheduling you last minitue but then when you call them last minitue you get charged $50.00. I WILL NEVER REFER my friends to this place when started it was great but this place has progressivly gotten worse. From being asked numerous times if I have paid, no apointments avaliable, having to constantly be reschedule, waiting in the waiting room for 15-20 min after my appointment was susposed to start to having to talk to a man about my bikini area.

i bought a clarisonic for after care and this is GREAT! I am always fighting washing my face but this works for me. The clarisonic can be used in the shower too! I just use my favorite face scrub and save the small ones that came with my clarisonic for travel. I came in the other day for a facial at sona and they could not tell that I did not have on makeup! It has done wonders for my texture ( I have scarring) and the color of my face. You have GOT to put one of these on your christmas list! It is a must have.

Love this place! The staff is so wonderful and always happy to see you! They area always remembering personal things about me which is great. I got told happy birthday by my tech and my consultant when I came in last time. The parties that this office does are great and are a must go to event! Overall been very happy with all of my treatments and I will keep getting more.

I went to the frisco Sona Med Spa?s open house for the holiday and found out some great news! They have three different laser hair removal machines. One is the standard IPL that everyone has ( if you have gotten laser hair removal before, IPL is the one with the different heads) The other two machines are higher powered for the fine hair and hard to remove hairs. The director explained to me that if you have darker skin or finer hair the IPL generally does not work very well. These other two Laser Hair removal machines are designed to not only remember who you are and what level you were at last time, but also can be adjusted to assist with your special hair removal needs.
