My niece dances @ this studio. The technique being taught to her @ the age of SIX is something I felt should be acknowledged! I am a dancer & have been around dancers my whole life. I know what is expected to be taught at that age. But this institute goes above and beyond what is expected! They understand the true potential of these future dancers and how crucial it is not to waste any time in those first few years of dance. If you are seeking dance training to strengthen a future for your child, this is the place to be! No other studio in the area can hold a candle to this institution when it comes to the quality of the instructors they have here! Don't miss out...Growing up in Raleigh, we didn't have any instructors of their magnitude! I can't help but wonder who I would be in dance today if I had been blessed with them! But at least I get to watch it happen through my niece! :) Thanks you Destiny Dance Institute for your hardcore dedication to the art of DANCE!!!!

My daughter has been dancing at Destiny for 4 years. The instructors were kind and helpful to her as a pre-schooler, and as she has matured as a child and as a dancer, the instruction has grown as well. Her instructors challenge her and inspire her. Destiny has classes for kids who dance for fun and fitness, as well as for those who have professional aspirations. I am particularly impressed with the rigor of the ballet program. I have watched as older students have sucessfully auditioned for elite summer programs as well as for local roles and NY dance companies. I am confident that we have found the right studio for our daughter and I trust her teachers to guide her in the coming years.

I have been taking dance at DDI for several years. The teachers and other staff have always been very professional and attentive. No student gets "lost in the crowd," and all students are encouraged individually and as a whole. Although I didn't come to DDI for friendship, I have gained several friends. I have found DDI to be a great place to learn about dance and experience camaraderie. I'm proud to be a DDI dancer!

My son took pre-dance for a year at Destiny Dance Institute when he was 4 years old. The fine motor skills and balance that the incredible teachers taught him, as well as the discipline and ability to focus has been instrumental in his easy and incredibly successful transition into school. He has shined in the class-room, as well as on the soccer field, and I always accredit it to his beginning training at DDI.

Pros: in the factory

My girls went to Destiny Dance for 2 years. I pulled them out when I realized how unprofessional the place was. The girls in company were mean, because my daughter was not in it. The company girls were not supportive of the others either. I watched them verbally attack a girl so much, she had to leave. The ballet teacher, Ruth Midkiff, is fabulous! But she also teaches at Cary Ballet Conservatory. You cannot take class with her unless you are in company at DDI. The jazz instruction is out of date and not strong at all. Plus, half of the instructors have no qualifications. I saw the owner's 16 year old daughter teaching a 12+ age group advanced tap class and they said she was teaching it because she was good at it. There is so much drama and I would not recommend this dance studio to anyone.

This dance studio really emphasizes technique in dancing. Not only that they truly care about their students. Class sizes are limited so each dancer gets the attention that they deserve.
