Reviews for Pump It Up

Ratings_icons We enjoy it

M H.

I'm reading all these negative reviews, and I'm really wondering why. My boys (ages 10 months and 2 years) really enjoy this place. We try to make one of the pop-in play times at least once every 2 weeks. It's only 1.5 hours of playtime, but they wear themselves (and me too!) out. The staff is always friendly, in my opinion, though I always see the same people, as their shifts probably don't rotate around very much. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is rather expensive, at $6 per child for the 1.5 hours of play. (Does my 10 month-old really need to pay $6???) Also, it would be nice if there were more open play times, instead of reserving every weekday afternoon and every weekend for parties.

The help there today inside the play portion was terrible. The guy with the "blue Staff" shirt literally stood in the same spot for over 2 hours. The give with the "blue Staff" shirt could not keep her hands off of him. No one was attending to the children. They were too involved with each other. There were kids screaming getting hurt and when the tennis balls came by the girl she did not stop them and give them to the kids. She just looked the other way. Whatever these two are getting paid is too much. In addition my daughter got stuck in the tunnel. I asked the guy with the blue "staff" shirt if he could help her. He said to me "can't you go in". I said no I didn't think I was supposed to .Eventually the girl with the blue "staff" shirt finally went in. By then my daughter was hysterfical!

Ratings_icons Definately worth the $$$

My kids love this place, and it was the first choice for a party for each of them. The staff handles the entire party so that the hosting parent can enjoy the party and the time with the kids. At our party, the staff retrieved the cake from my car, helped supervise during play time, and (most importantly) served the kids pizza, drinks, and cake. Then they collected the presents and extra food and loaded it into my car for me - in the rain! We didn't open presents there, but I've been at parties in which the kids do open presents, and the staff records a list of the gifts and gift-giver so that the parents or child can write accurate thank-you notes later. I've also been at a party where the staff was asked to deal with a difficult child and an uncooperative parent (so that the host would not have to do so), and they did so quietly, professionally, and successfully. I left the party I hosted happy, having done no work (big change from birthdays past), and with a thrilled child who still talks about the party. Definately worth the $ we spent, and we are planning a party for the other child in the next few months.

My child has been invited to birthday parties at Pump It Up. They have several inflatables for kids of all ages to jump on, as well as a separate party room where the cake/presents etc. can take place. I think it's a great concept, and the kids seemed to enjoy it immensely.

Ratings_icons It's all about what the children enjoy!

I attended a birthday party with my son this afternoon at Pump It Up. He loves to go there. I hate going there. He has several friends who have had parties there or will be having a party there soon. Because he has so much fun at the parties, I'm willing to sacrifice 2 hours of my day to take him. It's all about what the children enjoy!I think the prices are ridiculously high. The staff is far from being friendly. They are cut & dry. My opinion is, if your business caters to children, you should put on a smile, chipper up & at least act like you're happy to be there. Even the owner seems to be very somber. Every time I go I think that will be the time they will impress me. Hasn't happened yet! My son has been impressed since the first time he slid down the huge inflatable slide! His smile is priceless, therefore we'll keep going. I just won't have a party there for any of my children.
