I have had very good health care they see a lot of people as do most medical centers but I was treated with respect the only thing they seem to be hard to get your prescriptions refilled. they request you come back for an office visit I guess to get that office visit payment just make sure you get all the refills the day you are seen

I went to North Hills b/c they were one of the places listed as a PCP through my insurance for some pain in my back last week. I was given a prescription for antibiotics but told to hold it until they called me with results of the x-ray.

They never called back that day, so I called the next morning. They simply stated "you have an old cracked rib" - no other information or anything. I have never had a cracked rib so this I do not understand.

The following Monday I came down with what I am pretty sure is/was the flu. I was in the bed for three days with a fever, chills, muscle aches, you name it. I am almost 150% sure I got this from being in the very crowded, not very sanitary waiting room at North Hills the previous Wednesday. My work requires a note if you are absent for three days or more, so I made an appointment for the following day on the third day that I was still sick.

My fever finally broke overnight and I woke up in a pool of sweat. When I arrived at the doctor's office the next morning, my fever was thankfully gone, but I was greeted by a nurse who rudely said "oh come on girl, you ain't sick, you just don't want to go to work."

WHAT? I have a cracked rib (supposedly) and the flu, and you want to come out saying something like that to me??? Now I realize this may have been a joke, but this is a very INAPPROPRIATE and UNNECESSARY joke to make to someone who has been sick as a dog for three days and is worried as anything about her job.

Dr (name omitted) was the doctor to see me. He proceeded to enter the room and give me a fifteen minute lecture on smoking. If I wanted him to tell me the risks of smoking, then I would have ASKED him for them. I need some help with this pain in my back and making sure I recouperate from the flu.

He then tells me, without making any medical observation whatsoever, that I have bronchitis, and writes me a prescription for penicillin. Now the cracked rib is old, and it's not even what's hurting me, the bronchitis is hurting me. And this bronchitis developed between now and last week? When an x ray was done and a cracked rib was seen?

Excuse me, I am a thirty year old woman. I have had the flu before and I know the difference between that and bronchitis. My muscles ached and I had massive diah. - is that bronchitis?

When I went to leave, they gave me a hard time about a note to work. They would only write it for the day I was seen and the day before, with an attitude for some reason that I was not sick.

I will NEVER use their services again. There is no reason for such behavior to patients. I go to the doctor LESS THAN ONCE A YEAR, so when I go, I am realllllllllly sick. This has offended me to no end.

I highly recommend staying away from this place. For your health AND your mental sanity.
