Affordable Pet Clinic

I am sorry to hear about your dog Carina. This place is not professional. In my opinion the staff does not care about your dogs health. And they are rude to the customers. I called once and was placed on hold for half an hour until I just hung up.

they overhydrated my little dog and he died because of heart failure if u cant afford to take your dog to a good vet then dont adopt one! very bad vet very uncaring they really dont care if the dog is in pain or suffers they cost me my dog... over something so minor that could have been treated u cant inject a 7 lbs dog with 10 liters of fluids in 3 seconds ... u need to give them iv yet they did that and my dog died never go there instead go to the houston humane society on almeda and bw 8

Most of the good reviews here a from people who have adopted their pets from the HSPCA. They(the HSPCA) gives those people a discount to go to this clinic. They are rating it high because they only pay a portion of the bill. The staff probably favors these people and treats them better. If you don't get a discount and have to pay full price I'm sure you can find a place better than this. I mean come on I'm PAYING for the service, it's not like they are performing me a favor, and yet that is how they treat their clients.

The vet is an okay guy I suppose but the staff is awful. The girls that work there always seem like they didn't get sleep the night before. They are slow, not friendly and didn't seem to care for my dog. Someone else here said they put you on hold for 20 minutes. That's not an exaggeration. I have seen them do it on purpose even when it's not busy, they have an attitude like they can't be bothered by their own customers. Pathetic. And to sign in they ask for your address where anyone else can see it what a lack of privacy. I don't want some guy getting my address off the sign in sheet for God knows what. Thumbs Down.

Great clinic cheap nd very nice. Haven't had any problems with them been takin my dog since she was 8weeks old till now she's 1 year old. They actually gave me 2mnths of free heartworm medicine.

My dog was hit by a car and I was limited on funds. A friend called the SPCA and they referred me there. I quickly brought my dog in and was seen within 20 minutes. Ok, the staff was not a professional as I would like, but it was that "at home laid back" persona that put my dog at ease PLUS the care that was provided was EXCEPTIONAL!!! They took the time to make him feel comfortable and really evaluated him and his situation. I didn't feel rushed as I have with other vets. I SO appreciate them. Even though the prices are exceptionally low and unheard of, they do not sacrifice the quality of service. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I adopted my dog from the hspca. They give people a discount to this vet clinic. So I took him there he was good till the actual vet came in. Right away he said I should take him back. I was not going to do that because only around the vet he was aggressive. Maybe prior bad experience. So I took him to affordable because it's close to my house. Yes, he did get bad only when they checked his temp. The vet wasn't even moved. He handled it like he has seen it a million times. After it was all done to pay he pet him and said "yeah..good boy" So I take both of my dogs there. It can be embarrassing but they will bring dogs in fairly quick if they see some dogs not getting along in the waiting room.The prices are good for me and they know how to deal with my dog when he gets uncomfortable with the exam. I cannot say this for all pets but mine. Yes, sometimes the staff is a bit lethargic but it's not that big of deal for me. So far so good. It may not be the most glamorous clinic but they get what they need. And yes it is affordable.

I take both of my dogs here and I have to agree with some of the previous comments. The staff is very rude and those girls do take their sweet time with everything. They really have no shame. They will have a conversation in front of you while you're waiting to be checked out. The vet is great No B.S. there. He gets straight to the point and answers all your questions. The price is very reasonable and I don't mind the wait of 5-20 minutes. It all depends on the day of the week and time of the day.

I always take my dog and cat to affordable. The staff do have an attitude at times but I just ask to see the vet instead of them and my dog and cat get treated just right. My dog gets allergy shots which we have not figured out what she is allergic to yet. She is only itchy scratchy when she is at home. (weird) I've had her for 5 years and all of a sudden shes allergic. I like the treatment my pets receive here. If you are used to fake smiling faces and no waiting and also paying more for services ...then affordable may not be the best place for you to take your pets.The vet will be honest if you ask him a question. He has always taken the time to answer all of mine even over the phone.

My outside cat came home with a wounded leg. I went to the pet clinic near by and they told me it would be $1300 to amputate his leg. Affordable Pet Clinic did it for $300! Hence the name! Yeah, the staff is a little cranky and the environment is not so cozy. But you get what u pay for! The wait is going to be longer than anywhere because there is no appointments and literally A LOT of people take their pets there. I'm guessing because it's "affordable"!!! Wink! I would take my pets here again simply because I saved so much money. Don't expect to be treated like a queen in a quick amount of time when you're paying less than half the price for services!

I had been taking my dog to Affordable since he was 4 weeks old. At 3 months when he needed his rabies shot and everything the nurse came in as usual and give him his shots. Later when she was done, she told me me that when i got home to give him "Robitussin" instead of "benadryl" So needless to say, I gave my puppy some Robitussin, he had an allergic reaction, rushed him to the 24 hr animal hospital. Ended up with a 300 dollar bill. I called the vet to advise him that his staff wasnt giving out correct information. He plainly said that it was a honest mistake and it could happen to anyone. Didnt even tell the nurse anything. That was the last time i took my dog to this clinc.

Terrible service!! I called this clinic and was placed on hold for about 15 minutes with no questions, receptionist came back and asked what I wanted then she put me on hold for another 20 minutes - 35 minutes for a question!! Finally she came back and was reluctant to look up records and was rude! Absolutely not the place to take your beloved pet for surgery!!
