We love the pizza here! We try to get take out several times a month from here, we love it so much. Their thin crust and bacon pizza is our favorite! I hear they have changed the name, but its the same business.

This is for the creedmoor road restaurant - but since it doesn't have a separate listing, guess I'll review here - sounds like it has all the same problems as the wakefield location.

We went on a Sunday night around 6:30. Parking lot was sparse, no one was at the desk to greet us. Waited 5 minutes to see anyone. When hostess finally showed up, she seated someone who had arrived after us without even asking who was next (I will admit that is not her fault that rude other customer pushed her way into the front as if she owned the place). We were given a table in a back room with only one other table full. They tried to seat 5 people at a 4 person table even though there were dozens of empty tables around. We waited for 10 minutes and no one came to our table. The other table did have a server and they took a drink order. One of our party went to ask where our server was. A server came back in the room a few minutes later and proceeded to ask the other table for their drink order (again). Then he left again, still without acknowledging us. I guess we were invisible. So, we got up and left. 5 minutes of being ignored at the door, 15 minutes of being ignored at the table. Amazing that some restaurants don't care about service, especially in this economy. Maybe that's why there was almost no one in their restaurant. I can't wait until they go out of business and something better moves into the location.

I love Italian food and found this place by accident. Really expect to go there again whenever I want "real" Italian cusine.

Ate there the week of Feb 15. Food was below average, average flavor but indifferently prepared. Price is WAY above average across the menu, by as much as 50% for some items. Service was OK. Much better choices elsewhere for this kind of food.

This is by far the best pizza in Raleigh...maybe even all of North Carolina! The staff is super friendly and extremely efficient! I mean I really cannot say enough about how amazing their pizza is..and their fetticini alfredo is wonderful as well! :) Prices are VERY affordable! Give them a shot and you will never go to another italian restaurant around again!

My son is a student at a local public elementary school. The PTA had a fundraiser night and had it catered by Gianni & Gaitano's. They gave us a superb deal AND the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Thanks, G & G!

Had dinner this past Saturday night...service was dead on and the food was amazing. The pizza is always great but if you have not had a "feature" dish you are missing out...awesome.

Pros: Feature Dish and New Management

Cons: More Drink Specials

New Falls of Neuse location highly recommended. Food consistency is outstanding. Servers are knowledgeable, friendly, conscientious and timely. Wine list features wonderful Italian and Californian wines. The food is phenomenal and the "Specials" are something to look forward to. All of the staff is extremely kind, from the girls at the front door to the young Manager we always see smiling, greeting tables and working hard. This restaurant is usually very busy and in any busy restaurant that features made to order food you may have to wait 5-10 more minutes than you would at Olive Garden or some other chain restaurant. But, it is well worth the wait. Gianni & Gaitano's New Falls should have 4.5 to 5 stars especially considering all of the 1 stars I see on City Search for New Falls are not even this location! Creedmoor, Triangle Town Center and "Rocco's?" all received 1 star on this locations review! We all know different locations are run differently and this location is run the best, has the best food, and has the best service. Go to Gianni & Gaitano's New Falls (Wakefield) in confidence!

This was the second time we've been to Gianni & Gaitano's. The first time we tried their pizza and we were not impressed. This time we tried pasta dishes and were pleasantly surprised. They were very flavorful. They tend to be a bit pricey but, I'm sure we'll go back.

The food was great at this restaurant. They have a nice room in the back for large parties and were very accommodating. I would definitely go back there again. Prices aren't too bad and sometimes you can find a coupon on their website!

The first time I came this restaurant I wasn't overly impressed by anything and I thought the pizza and the service was ok (I've had much better of both). Our server didn't really talk to us just asked us what we wanted and even when we asked for advise about the menu, he just said "stick to the pizza" (???) so needless to say, we did and we went on w/ out evening. The next time I went in it was just crazy... it was the middle of the afternoon (around 2 pm) and not much was going on, yet we had to wait for someone (who was not the hostess but a busboy I believe) to sit us down... then they sat us in the wrong section and made us move. On to of that our food was terrible... my friend had the chicken parm and they forgot her pasta and as for me, they brought my food out about 10 mins after my friend had gotten hers (and still no pasta for her). I was never impressed by the service there and this just did it for me... I also never felt like the food was all that good so I do have to say this... it is NOT worth what you pay, even if you're getting the best service.

For me,the best way to judge a Italian restaurant is their sauce.Well G&G is number one.Every dish that I have had was done perfectly, pasta always aldente, meatballs air light.Service always attentive.
My favorite is chopped salad and grandma's pizza.South of Arthur Ave (The Bronx),G&G is the best.

Last year this place was everything you want in dining out, the food and service was fantastic. A few months back this place became unorganized with service that was lacking and management that was non-existant. One of my friends stopped in one evening a few weeks back and raved about the complete experience. My wife and I went there last week and were pleasantly surprised to see the place had done a complete 180 degree turnaround. The food was excellent as it always was BUT the pleasant atmosphere and the great service made it an absolute delight. The most impressive part of the experience besides the food and service was the tall thin young man who introduced himself as Matt. ( I don't remember his last name but it was Italian I remember that much) He appeared to be young but very knowledgeable and extremely concerned about our overall needs. Many of my immediate circle of friends has gone there since then and have high praise for the NEW Gianni's and hope that the management keeps up the great job!

When we first moved to Wake Forest this restaurant was great. It wound up being our place when we ate out we would eat there, when we ordered out we ordered from there. Now we don't go there at all. The dining rooms are dirty, the restaurant smells musty, and the service is horrible. I will say the food is still good but when you want to go out and relax and be waited on...this is not the place. The "last" time we were there with our family....after waiting 20 minutes at the table we asked for a server, we ordered drinks from the bar that took another 20 mins. and then the waitress tells my father they are all out of one of the liquors that goes in his drink so needless to say he didn't get one, we ordered 2 apptzrs that came out separately, no bread and we even asked for it. The prices have gone up a few times and my advice is if you're going to increase your prices customers are expecting a good dining experience...this restaurant does not deliver.

Wow, ever booked a really good hotel and felt you landed at the local Motel 6. This was the food version of that. High prices and ordinary food and service pretty much says it all. Service was awful. Food wasn't cooked properly. I let them know I was underwhelmed with the whole experience but their management was very unresponsive, almost zombie-like. Skip this restaurant and save your money for something worthwhile

We just moved here and were happy to find Gianni and Gaitano's. The food is good and the place is clean. Service staff inconsistent-very nice but food comes out a bit slow and some of them have no idea about their menu so dont bother asking- Good Italian is hard to find- their prices are comparable to everywhere else- you do not leave hungry- If they trained their staff a bit better they would be an A+ resturant in my book. There were 6 of us that dined there and all had the same opinion.Hope this helps.( this review is for the wakefield location)

My family and I have tried Gianni's at Wakefield a number of times. With the exception of our very first visit, we've not had good experiences. Service is consistently slow and food takes an inexplicably long time to arrive. On one occasion, we sat for 15 minutes before being greeted by our server, on another we waited 45 minutes for a simple pasta dish, on yet another we were overcharged and had to argue to get the situation corrected. It's unfortunate since there are a couple dishes on the menu we really enjoy, but we're never going back. The overall customer service and quality is that poor.

We went to Gianni & Gaitano's last night. The service was impeccable. Whenever we needed our waiter, he was there. He did not intrude on our conversation, and did not hang over the table.
The wine list is extensive, and reasonably priced.

We tried the Caesar salad and "Grandma's Pizza." Both were delicious. Please note, if you like your Caesar salad with thick, creamy dressing, this is NOT the salad for you. This Caesar had a light dressing (like what I would make at home) was delicious, and not too heavy.

The pizza was cooked perfectly, nice crispy crust with a little bit of softness to it. My only complaint is that Grandmas Pizza only comes in 2 sizes (It is a square pizza). My husband and I got the largest size, and it was MORE than enough food for two. In fact, we took home about 8 slices. Which is good for us, because it is great the next day.

Don't let the bad reviews scare you, I had no issue with the service at all. Go with an open mind. Remember, any restaurant that gets as busy as Gianni's will eventually have a slower service. Last night, they were spot on!
Oh, and a high five to the pianist. He did a superb job playing the piano, without intruding on anyone's conversations.

WE WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK!

My boyfriend and I have been to Gianni's a few times and love their food! The problem in the past was the service was ok. Which in our younger days, we both waited tables to get by in college and understand some struggles on a busy night. I have been twice this week and have been very impressed with the change. The hostess had a big smile as we walked in and offered adult dining or family. We chose the family side and was sat fairly quickly. Amanda was our server and she was great. Very helpful on the menu and specials. Gianni stopped by with a great story, which you have to watch this guy when your pizza comes! LOL! Great guy! His general manager Shane stopped by to say hi and made sure to remind us of the desserts they have. I must say those guys are doing something right because service and food was 5 stars tonight! Thanks everyone for making it a great night after a long day! Hope everyone enjoys this place as much as we do.

The food was good once it arrived. Three of us went over to the restaurant at lunch. Each of placed an order and nothing strange about it, like special requests, etc. There was a large group of women there as well. It took us a good 20-30 mins to get our food. As the waiters/waitress were all servicing this large group. Once the food got there, my order was incorrect and the other two were okay. I simply took my plate inside (we were at outside tables) and flagged the waiter and told him it was correct which he said wasnt until I showed him the cut portion that I cut earleir when trying it. It was not chicken, it was italian sausage. He took it and just walked off before I could ask how long it might be. I go back and sit down and another 10 mins pass and still no food. A friend of mine try flagging the waiter down so I could just cancel the order and he basically repated the order at the door not our table and walked in without even stopping to see what we wanted. FInally it comes out and I ask for a takeout box and the friend asked for the checks and to be separated. The waiter basically ignored us to once again service the large group. Took another flagging down and 5 mins more before we got the check and the to go box. The check was not separated which we asked for again. He took the cards goes inside, only to come back out again, still with the cards and no checks/receipts. He goes back in and finally comes out with the individual receipts. We were not the only ones who suffered, another group was complaining too for the poor service. All the waiters/hostess were servicing the large group and not bothering to serve the surrounding tables. Just horrible.

The first time I went to Gianni & Gaitanos I was swept away by the positve feeling it gave me! I felt as though I was in Italy. When I walked in, I was greeted by a hostess who took me to my seat immediatly. Sure, on a saturday night you might have to wait about 20 minutes, trust me, it is very much worth it! The waiter came to me immediatly to take our drink orders.I was sitting on Gaitanos side, not knowing there was a Gianni's. I opened the menu to see the varitey of food, and every meal was carefully explained. I ordered the Penne Vodka, it's just how mom had made it in New York. Since I moved to North Carolina I've been looking for real Italian food. Fresh food, ya know what I mean? I could tell that when I took that first bite of the Penne Vodka that it was made fresh and straight from the heart! I could also tell that it wasn't FREEZER BAG, ALREADY MADE FOOD! That drives me crazy, but DEFINATLY NOT HERE! I read the cover of the menu, I read about the trip the Cinelli family had from Italy. Just because they have alot of restaurants, DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE A CHAIN! NO far from it! They're a hard working family making the American! How I know all this, you ask? I was told from the source! The owner came to me and asked me how my meal was, and asked if I needed anything, although I was already stuffing my face with their famous NY Cheese Cake! UMM! The next time I came, me and my husband ate on Gianni's side. It has a bar, a party room, and even a singer and pianist! I was blown away at how nice it was! I had the steak special, my husband had the lobster. They were cooked to perfection! the light was so romantic. The wine made me feel like I was drinking in an actual Italian vinyard! My hasband was so happy with his meal he said to me " when your family comes to visit, lets take them here!". We noticed that people were coming around the back. The waiter told me that there was a back door, into this side. now, we only came in through the back door!

Our favorite restaurant was Cinelli's in Raleigh, and we were thrilled when the owner opened Gianni's in Wake Forest. Casual, family-friendly restaurant with full menu in the front. Line is out the door on weekends. A lovely retreat through the back entrance for a formal date night. True Italian restaurant in which to take your time and have a friendly conversation with the owner. They have special packages for cigar and wine afficionados on their website. A bit pricey but worth it.
