I have been to many sushi restraunt, but this restraunt called starfish has the most fresh fishes. I was satisfied with service too. All I want to say is "they are FRESH."

Well the first time I went to Starfish, I must say that I was impressed. The service was excellent, as the waitstaff was very attentive. The sushi rolls weren't phenomenal, but they were pretty tasty.

Service is really big for me, and since they provided that, I decided to return, but this time with a larger group to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Much to my dismay, the customer service was horrendous. The waitress and the manager continuously hounded us about whether or not we were all paying together or if we needed separate checks (we told them each time what our preference was).

Additionally, the rude waitress kept trying to clear plates from the table that we were still eating from! I almost had to stab her in the hand with my chopsticks to keep my food!

The rudest of them all was the manager, who calls herself Kay.

Maybe they just had a bad night, but this was enough for me to never return. There are several other Sushi restaurants in Buckhead and in Atlanta period. If I were you, I'd choose one of them.

Fresh fish, sushi bar, they have the greatest seafood in Buckhead. This is one of my favorite places to go and just relax and eat. The prices are good for the portions they serve.

My friend brought me here a couple of weeks ago when we felt like eating sushi. We felt like trying something new, so were very happy to see so many different types of fish that we had never heard of. It was also really nice that they let you order one piece of sushi at a time so that we wouldn't be stuck with a plate full of something that we didn't like. We started out with a couple pieces of the usual tuna and salmon, then ordered some new fish like the golden eye snapper and the albacore. All of the fish were really fresh and tasty. I defiitely plan on coming here again really soon.

I ate at Starfish last week when a date suggested it. We had great service. It was neither intrusive nor neglectful. We had the ika, which was just okay. I've certainly had better. The jellyfish was very good. We also had a selection of rolls and I enjoyed them.

I would visit again.

My husband and I went on a Sunday evening and had a great experience. Parking is easy ..they have spots labeled for their customers on the second level of the parking garage. We love interesting maki rolls and they had plenty to choose from! We especially loved the Ring Roll and The Longest Yard Roll. It wasn't busy and the service was great. The prices were good.. I would return if I lived here to try more of these inventive rolls!

Their spicy tuna was especially good (it has some different name, though). The food was exceptional, although we had some problems with service. The food took forever to come and then we couldn't flag anyone down to let them know that they had completely forgotten to bring half the food. Even still, I recommend it. It was the best sushi I've had in Atlanta.

It's Sunday evening, 90 degrees out. Why would someone go out? Fortunately we did. Went to Starfish for the first time and had a really enjoyable time. The food was tasty and yes...creative. The sushi and sashimi were fresh and presented very nicely. They served little unexpected surprises throughout the meal that were delicious. The service was very attentive although it was not very crowded. It would appear that they were very anxious to make everyone happy from the food to the music they played which consisted of contemporary artists singing old standards. Dining at Starfish was a great way to relax and wind down after a busy weekend and get ready for the new week. Oh, parking is great too. Take a right into the covered parking underneath the Aramore and go to the second level. They have reserved parking spaces. So, in the order it all occurred.....easy to find and park, good service, tasty generous servings of fresh fish, relaxing ambience. What more can you ask for? We'll be back!

This sushi restaurant is like a hidden gem in Buckhead. The fish is fresh, the food is about as authentic Japanese as I have seen in Atlanta, and the service is second to none. Given the choice of MF Sushi Bar(pretentious, noisy and overrated) or Starfish, I would gladly choose Starfish! Do yourself a favor and give it a try,I can promise you will be back for more.

The place is great. It's my new place to go whenever I want sushi. It has a nice comfortable atmoshpere and still relatively unknown, so it's not so loud on most nights (unlike the Cheesecake Factory or something). The staff are really friendly and take a great care of you like you're a regular even though it's your first time. The best part of the place, as it should be with any restaurant I go to, is the food. They have the most original and creative rolls that I've ever had with really cute creative names. Their fish the freshest that I've had in Atlanta. (The fish is actually fresh and delicious, not some salty mush that you get at most places). So if you're looking for some great sushi, this is the place to go.

I took my date here. I had never been so it was a little risky, but the place turned out to be great. We got a nice cozy table in the corner. The place was fairly quiet, and it made us feel like we were the only ones there...very romantic. The servers were very courteous and prompt...probably some of the friendliest folk I've ever met at a restaurant. The sushi was great. All of their fish tasted amazing. They were really fresh. I eat sushi all the time, and this place by far had the best fish in town. My date and I also had a ton of fun with the menu. Their special rolls are named after movies like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Ring Roll (both of which I highly recommend). We had such a great experience here that this is the only place we go for sushi now. I also brought all of my family and friends here, and everyone thought it was really great. I completely addicted to this place, and I'm sure anyone who goes there is going to love it.

OK. Thats what best describes this place. The service is great, very friendly staff. The rolls are very creative and pretty good, in fact thats the only reason I go there and they know my name so I feel guilty if i don't stop by once a month. What this place is lacking is the quality of fish. Their sashimi is dreadful, especially for the price. If the sashimi was half the price then I'd be fine with it but its almost as much as MF sushi, and their selection of fish is the best. How do I know the fish they get is junk? Well multiple times that I have gotten any sushi, the fish has been frozen and the eel is grainy. Also, many times the fish can be chewy. The rolls have so much stuff in it you cannot tell the difference in fish quality too much. If you are a roll person please go here, you will not be wasting your time. However, if you like a traditional, great tasting sushi experience, skip this place and head to MF sushi or if you want to drive to Alpharetta go to Sushi Nami. MF is a tad bit more expenisive, like $10-$15, but its well worth it. I still go here but only for the rolls which are pretty creative and extremely tasty. Try it out if your a roll person, otherwise go elsewhere.

As a person that works in food service for a four star resort, I find that I am extremely critical when dining out. So when I dined at Starfish for the first time, I was completely surprised to find it was absolutely perfect. From the service to the food, everything was EXCELLENT!!!!! This place is a perfect spot for a date but I went with my girl friends and we enjoyed it just as much. Fun menu with alot of variety and not your typical sushi selection. Every recommendation was right on point and wine list was reasonable. I will definitely return.

Great sushi at a good price with great service. Never very packed, so always easy to be seated and served promptly. Great new sushi find that will surely become sushi mainstay in Atlanta!

I love this restaurant. The service is always fantastic and the sushi is always fresh. I love their innovative menu and creative special rolls. I always am seated and served on promptly. The restaurant is always clean and has a trendy feel without being too "sceney." Great menu and saki! The only downfall is that it does not have a full bar but a problem easily solved by hitting up a nearby bar before or after if needed.

This is by far the best gift Atlanta has received from the sushi gods since Soto (Chef Sotohiro Kosugi) left town. Make sure you have Allen Suh (soon to be a national treasure) prepare your sushi. Allen is a genius! The fish is fresh and the presentation is phenomenal. Starfish has become one of my weekly treats. If you like Uni, ask Allen to create an Uni delight on the fly... Certainly no lack of creativity in this restaraunt! - Coming from a Sushi Freak

Starfish was a nice find on a street that bears more than a passing resemblance to a strip mall. I appreciated the Sake tasting and the fresh Modai (red snapper). The sushi chefs were attentive, if busy. The atmosphere perhaps a bit perfect compared to some of the hole's in the wall that I am used to finding good sushi in. It was not crowded, parking was easy (not necessarily the definition of a great restaurant, but qualities none-the-less). I would consider dining there again.

On a Wednesday night, it was pretty empty, much to my delight, but even more delightful were the free sushi offerings that kept comig over the bar. Tempura salmon, salmon sushi salad, etc...they stayed with the theme of what I ordered. Right when I sat down, the service was on top of my - just a little anxious on a slow night. They helped me select a great sake that was just in - not on the menu. The sushi was perfect, expertly cut and fresh as can be expected in ATL. Not sure what I had paid for the sake or if I had mistakingly ordered some of the extras that kept coming, I was a little worried about what the bill would be, but I found it to be very reasonable with no extras tacked on. I plan to go again tonight.

I from Athens Georgia where great food at resonable prices is the norm. But now living here in Atlanta I'm all to often find myself feeling cheated. This is one of the few places that I have visisted and felt that both the service ad the food lived up to my high stands. Great place for a date or just to drop in and grab a quick eat. Extra friendly service was just the cherry on top!
