Decatur Wine & Spirits

This is my favorite store for beer. They don't have the vast selection of some of the bigger stores, but they have a great variety of beers I like and many more I would like to try. They obviouslty know a lot about beer and stock their cooler accordingly. Whenever I feel like trying a new beer, I just chat with the cashier: all of the staff are full of useful information. Apart from the Brick Store, this is the next best reason for a beer lover to visit Decatur.

This is the nicest liquor store I've ever been to; sounds weird, but it is true. This store is clean, welcoming, friendly, and classy... everything you don't normally think of when thinking "liquor store."

The selection here is the best I have encountered. The wines are all good and all seem to be well-priced. The wines are organized so well that I can find just what I want without having to decipher some cryptic sorting system, as with most wine stores.

I also love the beer cooler here. Every time I come in for a bottle of wine, I also get a new beer. I dunno how many kinds of beer they have, but I think it will be a long time before I repeat.

Oh, and I have to say, this is one of the friendliest stores I've been to. The people are genuinely friendly; none of that over-exuberent shouting you get at franchises. It seems like they're really having a good time and just want to share.

I love the staff here. They are friendly and seem to an amazing amount about wine, beer, and liquors. Ask for Robert; I think he knows everything! Really, it was pretty amazing what I learned from talking to him.

Picking a wine can be a difficult experience if all you have to go on is the label on the bottle. Here, all i have to do is tell Robert what I want the wine for, and he is full of suggestions. The wines he's found for me have been *outstanding*! He also turned me on to some beers I never even heard of. Wonderful stuff.

PROS: Super staff, great selection
CONS: Entrance is at an odd angle to Lawrenceville Hwy.

This little package store has the finest selection I've seen. They have a great pick of wines, a bunch of really interesting beers, and a humidor full of good cigars. Oh, and they have all kinds of liquors and liqueurs, from cheap to top-notch, and from typical to rare. I'm not much of a drinker, yet I can't keep away from this place.

PROS: Amazing selection, very helpful staff, good location
CONS: Not many really cheap items, but prices oerall were pretty good
