BEWARE! Don't sign anything with this company. Especially EFT.. They took more then they were supposed to from my Bank account.. They signed me up for 2 training memberships ( i only wanted 1 )and are now taking 2 times the amount out of my bank account. The min i saw this on my statement I was on the phone with Professional fitness so I could get my money back. Every person I have talked to have completley given me the run around.. And they are complete idiots.. Just try to get your money back, it won't happen. I was so excited about hiring a professional trainer. But this bull sh.. Is plain unexcepable. I am now going to try to get all my money back. (800.00) This will be a process.. But they are not going to take advantage of this Girl.

My experience with Professional Fitness is the same as all the other reviewers. The person who answers the customer service number, Jasmin, is rude, makes wrong statements, promises to call back but never does, and she actually lied to me two times.
The supervisor, Jesse, is not any better. After weeks of this and no help getting a trainer (but the company never stopped charging me for the sessions), I had one last conversation with Jesse, and I pointed out how poor their business practices are, how bad my experience has been, and she should read the reviews on line. She had the nerve to say to me "oh yes, I've read all the reviews. People don't read their contract, then complain about everything. We are not doing anything illigal. We have been in business since ... and we have had thousands and thousands of extremely satisfied customers. A few complaints do not describe our business".

By the way, check out the F grading in the Better Business Bureau web site: http://www.bbb.org/raleigh-durham/business-reviews/exercise-fitness-programs/professional-fitness-in-raleigh-nc-90062502)

All of the reviews written here do not surprise me. I had a similar situation happen to JosieRod. However, because the "month-to-month" payment was in dispute, the organization refused to let me work out on the sessions I had already paid

This company is still up to their old tricks. Beware of their contract language, it is easy to sign up and very hard to get out of. Their corporate offices is run by only 2 people which makes it harder for you to get through without

The practices of this company are just flat out unethical. I called March to cancel my membership and was told that it would. Then a month later, they charged me for April. I called and was told I had to send a certified letter

They are a sham I decided the next day after looking up reviews on them to cancel. I called and they said the contract was cancelled. 4 days later they charged me. After many attempts at getting in touch with someone.Someone finally called and said that they would refund my money and to fax paperwork in and he would call around noon tomorrow. They never did and when I called customer service the guy was rude and said there was nothing he could do. They took $300 from me so Be smart stay away

I never signed the contract and I am being billed for $1965.60, the cost of a year membership. I paid for two months but never signed the contract. They forged my initials at the bottom and are saying that because I paid for two months and they have an imprint of my credit card and copy of my license that it makes the contract valid. Last time I checked: No signature = no legal contract. Try making a down payment on a car without signing a contract and see if you make it out the door with the keys.

Do yourself a favor, RUN. This company is a joke complete with the WORST customer service. I've never been more frusterated in simply trying to CANCEL a membership that I never even started... Awful. Horrible. Nightmare.

Stay away from professional fitness!!!!! My experience is almost identical to the others mentioned. I signed in October with Andy who is supposed to be the district mgr. He leads me to believe he is going to be my trainer and explains what his regiment will be. He makes all kinds of promises regarding routines he will make up for me each wk. Than after he gets me to sign, without mentioning that the sessions are only 30 minutes(10 mins to warm up and 20 mins with the trainer) he says he will find a trainer that will suit me. It wouldn??t be him. To try to make a very long and painful story short. By November each trainer I was juggled around to was fired for one reason or another. After the fourth trainer no one ever notified me. None of the promises of a written routine was ever fulfilled and I haven??t had a session with a trainer since the end of Nov. I have been trying since November to get in touch with the company. You can never talk to a person, just leave a message. no one from the has returned my calls until yesterday(3-1-10) when finally I spoke to a very young girl named tiffany who says that if I want to get out of my contract I must pay the money I owe since November. She said it??s not their fault I haven??t had any sessions. I should have followed up! When I asked tiffany for her supervisor she told me that would be the VP of operations and she couldn??t connect me to them and refused to give me their name. She said that??s personal information and corp. policy forbids her to give out such info but I could write. She gave me the address telling me to address it to VP of operations, still refusing to give me a name. Then she hung up on me.

Isn??t it ironic this company chose the name "professional? fitness? They are anything but!!! Run very quickly from this poor excuse for a business. I am putting one star because there is nothing less.

First of all you may not know that the personal training at your gym is offered by another company, I didn't until I tried to cancel. This company, Professional Fitness, operates under the principal of getting all the money possible while giving as little as service possible.

When I signed up I specifically asked about canceling, because I had heard so many horror stories about gym contracts. The GM had no trouble lying to my face. He told me to just sign a sheet indicating I wanted to cancel. All I had to do was come in when I wanted to cancel after my initial 6 months and he would fax that in. In fact the only way to cancel is sending a certified letter to an address written in fine print on the back of your contract. I was also promised measurement services and a coupon book to track my sessions. I never received these things. I also have no paperwork to indicate how many sessions I have used. And beware, the GMs will also throw in additional sessions that you'll never be able to use just to sweeten the deal.

During signup I was asked my goals and the injuries I had. The GM promised my trainer would call that day or the next. Well, despite my calling, the trainer didn't call me for over 2 weeks. He also didn't know about my injuries either. However, the trainer was in fact very knowledgeable. He has since left the company to train on his own. Do yourself a favor, work with an independent gym owner and an independent trainer if you want to train.

Pros: None

Cons: Say Anything To Make You Sign, Will Hear Nothing After That

Purchased 8 private training sessions as a gift ($279.00). The company left my gym, and claim that the sessions had been used (NONE WERE, DOCUMENTS WERE FORGED).They will not take your calls, only send you to voice mail, that they NEVER answer. Do NOT give these crooks a single penny, and warn everyone you will ever meet to stay away from them.

Beware.. You do not get what you pay for. I have spent $1000 and received only 14 half hour sessions. In 6 months, I have had 4 trainers come and go. I warn those of you who are looking into this. It is a rip off and I have filed a compliant with the BB and will also be seeking legal advice. Please check the BB rating. This company has received an F and has over 700 complaints in a 36 month window.
