Glamour Shots

My friend and I each went to the store at Mall of America, we were each celebrating our 50th birthday and wanted photos to document our historic event! I was very disappointed with the session, the photographer seemed very inexperienced and one of the make up artist was the one who set up the backgrounds, poses, etc. Both my friend and I paid for separate sessions, but because we came together we each were not allowed to use a coupon in the Mall discount book - they would only allow us to use one and not two! Their reasoning didn't make any sense to us as we both paid the full price for our photos. To be honest I was not expecting to like any of the photos as I hate having my picture taken and when I reviewed the shots it was hard for me to find one that was acceptable to print. I decided to pay the extra money for the photo lab to 'glamourize' my photos and was VERY disappointed with the results. The first thing I noticed when I received my package was the dimple in my chin was gone, they completely covered it up with the glamour touch up. Plus I picked a photo where my hands were near my face and they were a different color than my face, very distinct color difference. Needless to say I was very disappointed because of the money I spent I didn't feel it was worth it. Plus these were suppose to be gifts for my family and I refuse to give them as I don't like the results. I called the store and asked if something could be done. The sales person was not very sympathetic to my request as I tried to explain what was wrong. She had an attitude and was not at all interested in what my concerns were. She said the lab would reprint the photos with my requests. Well... I did receive the second set of photos without any 'glamour touch up' which I had paid extra for. My advice if you visit the Mall of America stay away from the Glamour Shots store!

This store at the Mall of America uses inexperienced makeup artists, mediocre photographers and photoprocessing. The appointment starts late and after the photo shoot you are teamed up on by a sales representative, the makeup artist, and the photographer using high pressure tactics for an overpriced product. BEWARE

PROS: deceptively kind personnel during sales
CONS: insulting personnel after the sale is made
