loved it, love it, loved it

by james j.

we really enjoyed our new years eve dinner. What a great start to 2009. Great food & wine list. Glad we found this gem. The food quality & quantity were fantastic. The lobster was great. Totally cool presentation and the filet mignon was fork tender. we will be regulars here.

It's Too Sweet, tacky and Overpriced

by Richard C.

My companion and I recently dined at Restaurant Jezebel and it was frankly over priced. The cook covers everything with a nasty sweet sauce, which must be to hide his lack of cooking skill! Bill and I are skilled decorators and consider the interior to be "Iraq Modern" and has that bombed out look. There are "garage sale" nudes every where that must have been painted by the cook. The kitchen is open and sometimes the exhaust fan doesn't work and you get to smell everything that is being cooked! I don't know why the cook thinks we want to watch him cook and pour that nasty sauce on everything! If the cook would quit fighting with the employees and concentrate on cooking maybe it would be better. We spent $275 on a meal and wine that was worth about $65.00 including wine!

Absolutely Terrible

by Anonymous

My husband and I recently dined at Restaurant Jezebel and it was absolutely not worth the 250 dollar tab we were presented. The service was sub-par and the food was covered in a disgusting sweet sauce. There is some sort of controversy surrounding their sale of foie gras and several times the chef/owner WALKED OUTSIDE to yell and argue with the 5 protesters. He seemed much more concerned with a few college aged kids standing outside of his restaurant than the quality of his food. At one point the police were called and walked into the restaurant to speak with one of the waiters which was a very uncomfortable experience at a "fine dining" restaurant. We will absolutely NEVER dine there again and want to warn others to avoid this place.
