After several failed IUIs and a couple of failed IVF cycles at another area clinic, we transferred care feeling like we were running out of hope. Our experience at Carolina Conceptions was like night and day compared to the old clinic. Dr. Park created a unique protocol tailored to my needs, and we are now patiently awaiting the arrival of our baby girl in October.

The thing about Carolina Conceptions is that it really is a place of hope. Not only are the physicians extremely skilled at their craft, but everyone from the front desk staff, to the financial counselors, to the nurses, CNAs, and embryologists are rooting for you. There is such a sense of teamwork and community in the office and you receive nothing but the most compassionate care. Staff is available by email (including physicians) and calls and emails were always returned promptly. We could not be more grateful to Dr. Park and everyone at Carolina Conceptions for helping us build a family.

As an active duty military member, my husband and I were afforded the opportunity to have most, if not all, of our initial fertility treatments covered financially with our military insurance. If we wanted to seek outside care, we were told that we would have to pay out of pocket in full. Of course, at first, we opted to use the military. After experiencing poor bedside manner, rushed appointments, and a plan of care that was neither explained in detail nor individualized, we decided to change providers. My level of comfort and trust in a provider meant more to me than dollar amounts. Thankfully we found Dr Park and Carolina Conceptions. Not only were they patient with my endless questions, but they sat down and fully explained the journey that we were about to embark on with IVF and what we were to expect over the next few months. I felt safe and less stressed knowing that I was in competent hands. Every appointment was positive and I always walked away feeling like I knew what was going on and what to expect next. Thanks to Carolina Conceptions, we've been blessed with a set of twins on the way! I would recommend this practice to anyone who's seeking a safe, positive, friendly, and competent place to begin a family.

I went to Carolina Conceptions on a recommendation from a friend. She was very appreciative of the support that she received from the staff and physicians and how friendly everyone was to her and her husband. Since she is now pregnant from the help of Carolina Conceptions, we also chose this clinic when my husband and I were having problems getting pregnant. On my first visit, I could not believe how nice everyone was; the front staff ladies all greeted me with bright smiles and Dr. Meyer was friendly and very thorough. After my first cycle of doing an IUI, I am pregnant and we are EXTREMELY EXCITED. We wanted to thank everyone at CC for such a pleasant experience and a positive outcome. We will definitely tell everyone that is having trouble getting pregnant, to go to Carolina Conceptions!

I shopped around at all of the infertility clinics in the RTP including UNC and Duke. Carolina Conceptions is the BEST hands down. There's no comparison. If we would have chosen UNC or Duke, the waiting time would have taken months, but we got pregnant at Carolina Conceptions in no time. We got pregnant on our first round of IVF and we're both old (40 years old)!
UNC and Duke are good, but whenever you use a university based clinic, you're going to be seen by resident student doctors a lot. So that's another reason I chose Carolina Conceptions because I always saw a board certified doctor and Dr. Park, Dr. Meyer, and Dr. Couchman are the best in the field. CC's IVF rates are the best, and they truly care about their patients. You can email the doctors and they email you back and sometimes call you back with an answer. Absolutely wonderful doctors. I could brag on these doctors all day! My husband and I are now pregnant with twins. We started the IVF process in March and now we're 2 months pregnant. It worked the first time, too, and we're 40!
All 3 are terrific, but my favorite is Dr. Park. They're all thorough and professional and kind.

Our journey to add to our family has not been easy but became a reality through embryo donation/adoption. Due to CC's embryo donation/adoption program and the kindness of people who we do not even know--but who shared the same desire as us to be parents and walked a similar path of infertility--we now have our beautiful daughters. Our little girls were conceived as a direct result of embryo donation. My husband I consider it to be like traditional adoption, just nine months earlier. We are so thankful to the donating family and CC and recognize that they literally have made our dreams come true.

Any patient who has experienced the IVF process knows how precious those embryos are. I urge anyone who has completed their family and has remaining embryos to consider embryo donation/adoption. A donating family is giving the gift of life to those precious embryos and allowing another family to fulfill their dreams. There really has been no downside for us??just blessings

I have been a patient at CC for two years. I've had several procedures with them including IVF. We have finally had success! I'm 7wks pregnant with twins!! I believe the knowledge and technology that CC has plus my own research and determination are the reasons we are successful. Other clinics turned me away due to poor ovarian reserve but CC stuck with me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Couchman's at Carolina Conceptions since approximately January of 2009, and could not possibly be happier with the doctors, nurses, and office staff there. It took many cycles and different treatments for me to finally achieve a pregnancy due to my body's poor response to medications, but the C.C. team never gave up on me. I was never treated with anything less than kindness and compassion and always felt that the doctors and nurses were acting in my best interest. I am always able to reach the doctors or nurses very quickly by phone or by email, and always recieve thorough responses to my questions even if I am being a pain.
I left for a brief time to go to another fertility clinic due to the prices being slightly lower there, and came RIGHT back to C.C. due to the care being so drastically different.
When I finally did achieve a pregnancy, I had some complications right off the bat (OHSS) and all three of the doctors (as well as all of the nurses and office staff) were very involved in my care and in helping me recover. I felt VERY well taken care of throughout the ordeal and felt confident that I was in the best possible hands.
I am now almost 12 weeks pregnant with twins and I will be forever grateful to everyone at Carolina Conceptions for getting me to this point. I had honestly given up all hope of getting pregnant after almost 4 years of trying until Dr. Couchman and Carolina Conceptions gave me this miracle.

I am shocked and APPALLED by some of these reviews! This is by far one of the best infertility clinics in NC. Both Dr. Park and Dr. Meyers are wonderful doctors who make patient care their number one priority. There has NEVER been a time where I called, emailed, or went into this office and they did not take time to answer my husband and I's questions. Dr. Park who is my doctor and who I will be continuing with as my husband and I go through this experience is a wonderful doctor that actually cares about his patients. Carolina Conceptions will forever have my vote as a top notch infertility clinic!

At 36, I had been single for many years and had no prospects of a relationship on the horizon. I decided that I wanted to try to have a child while my body was still able. I started the process at one fertility clinic in the Durham area and did not have a great experience. The staff were all very nice but I only saw my doctor during the consultation and never again. I only saw residents and nurses after that who were all very nice but I had no continuity of care. When I tried to schedule an appoint with my doctor to discuss all my failed insemination attempts, I could only get an appoint 5 weeks out or had to pay $140 out of pocket to have a 30 minute phone consultation. I decided to switch to Carolina Conceptions on the recommendation of 2 friends who experienced the same frustration that I had. Carolina Conceptions was the complete opposite experience. My doctor (Dr. John Park) was accessible via e-mail for questions whenever I had concerns. He even responded to my e-mails when he was on vacation! I could schedule time to talk to him within a reasonable time period. The staff was all very nice, supportive, and had positive attitudes. They were flexible with my hectic travel schedule. My doctor at Carolina Conceptions also discovered a uterine polyp that was missed at my other doctor. After it was removed, I immediately became pregnant the next month. I recommend Carolina Conceptions to any single or coupled woman who is trying to conceive. It is a great practice. I had a great experience. If I decide to try again on my own, I will definitely go back to Carolina Conceptions!

For anybody on the fence about what fertility clinic to use, Carolina Conceptions would be your best choice! We struggled for over a year at another facility and after coming to Carolina Conceptions our dream came true on the first try. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with genuine smiles and warm greetings. Collectively, the entire staff made a difficult, emotional process seem much easier. Both Dr. Park & Dr. Couchman were professional, positive, and very caring. We truly believe that their positive attitudes changed our way of thinking positive and helped us reach our goal. We are very excited and look forward to our first child in April. Carolina Conceptions didn't treat us like a patient but more like a friend. We highly recommend Carolina Conceptions to anyone looking for professional, supportive, and compassionate doctors and staff.

Carolina Conceptions is by far the number one place to go if you suffer from infertility. I don't even know where to begin....the doctors are incredible, the nurses are helpful and amazing, the financial department is patient and kind, and the secretaries are warm and caring. I have never been to any doctors who never make you sit in the waiting room for more than 5 min's if that and who respond to every question and email so promptly. The doctors know exactly what they are doing and make so many baby dreams come true, including mine!! I'm having twins with the help of God and this clinic. They are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and well worth the money and time. I would highly recommend Carolina Conceptions to anyone!!!

I live in Winston-Salem and have no problem driving the four hours round-trip in order to work with this wonderful practice. The first time my husband and I met with Dr. Meyer was in 2009 after two failed IVF's at another clinic. I brought a copy of my medical records and Dr. Meyer took his time reading through the file. He asked questions. He was interested in our journey.

I met with him again in April of 2011 to ask questions about a split/shared donor egg cycle and he once again spent a great deal of time listening to me and offered encouragement and hope.

Everyone at Carolina Conceptions makes you feel like a valuable member of their family. The doctors, the nurses and every single member of the staff from the sweet receptionist (who, on my last visit, very patiently spelled the word "conceptions" to a caller three times) to the wonderful financial coordinator are all friendly and all seem to love what they do and it shows! I'll never go anywhere else. I give them an A++.

I have nothing but positive comments regarding Carolina Conceptions entire practice. The doctors, nurses, and other staff always made me feel important and gave me the peace of mind that I was getting the very best care. I initially saw Dr. Park, what a wonderful doctor. He is patient, kind, understanding, re-assuring and always made time for me and all my many, many questions. Sometimes, the doctors had to give me bad news but it was delivered with an unparallel level of professionalism and kindness. I especially loved the fact that you could always reach out directly to Dr. Park by e-mail. He always gave me a quick response, even on weekends. I would recommend Carolina Conceptions to anyone in need of this type of specialized treatment.
My OB/GYN office is quite the opposite environment, your just another number and co-payment. My struggles and their attitudes left me feeling completely and utterly hopeless when I arrived at Carolina Conceptions. Dr. Park managed to turn that around in an hour!!
So with the grace of God above and the highly skilled team at Carolina Conceptions, I am so blessed beyond measure to be expecting twin boys this summer!!
My only wish is that Carolina Conceptions offered continuing OB care. It is so bittersweet when you "graduate" and get sent back to the masses.

I recently tried to make a appointment with Carolina conceptions and Kelly the "friendly voice" you are suppose to hear when you call was rude and very non-understanding. I called several times and when i finally got through she was more interested in giving me excuses as to when she supposedly called me back and seemed to me she would have rather argued with me instead of making the appointment. When i tried to ask questions regarding my treatment that day she seemed to be preoccupied with transferring me as fast as she could to some one else instead of trying to answer my question. Finally my appointment was made and i chalked it up to maybe she was just having a bad day. When i arrived for my appointment she asked me for my new patient paperwork and when i informed her i did not have it she stated didn't someone tell you over the phone to fill it out and when i said no, she was again more concerned about who she could place the blame on instead of just giving me the paper work. Once i finally received all the paperwork and even though i was still 30 minutes early for my appointment i was rushed back to see the doctor and then was informed i didn't need to fill out the back two pages only the top. I feel like Carolina conceptions is unprofessional when it comes to their Front desk staff person Kelly and solely based upon her I have no desire to call back to Carolina conceptions and will not return.

The Xray done at their office showed a fibroid right in the center and both of my fallopian tubes were not open.My gynecologist did not connect it to the cause of my heavy monthly. Dr Meyer did a one hour procedure and shaved out the fibroid and passed a small wire threw my tubes opening them up. I missed three days of my work. My bleeding almost got better over a week and four months later I was pregnant. I thank him and his female partner for what they did for me.

Just the opposite for me and spouse. Angela was in her office each morning I came in for a visit and her and Susan( she was more quiet) would answer any billing things we needed to better understand. Although we did not qualify Ms Ashley tried to get us into a pharmacy sponsored plan that helped pay for the GONAL we used. I dont know how the girls at the front reception area or in the back could have done a much better job. Rock on

With all the b#* chin they must hear I am surprised they smile at all.

Finance department never answers the calls and left innumerable messages to find out the details about the charges. I suggest you better go to different practice where they talk to you on the phone and answers about the charges. the worst Finance dept and people in the finance dept I ever saw in USA.

We mostly met with Dr. Couchman. After seeing many different RE's at various clinics, we were starting to lose hope. After we had our consultation with Dr, Couchman, we finally had some hope, and felt like we had a chance. Dr. Couchman and her nurse were always available to answer questions. We also met with Dr. Park a few times, and he was wonderful as well. They responded quickly to emails and phone calls. She never pushed any treatments on us, but made sure were informed. We were dealing with PCOS and DOR. We are finally pregnant with twin boys and are due next month. We never could have done this with you CC.

I had my initial meeting too with Dr Meyer. It was relaxed, informative, and not pushy. Since we had tried to get pregnant for over 6 years IVF with ISI was probably our best chance for success. We did a cycle of money back guarantee and placed two embryos back. In the beginning Dr Meyer told us that because the doctors rotate every so many weeks, that it was possible that he might not do my egg harvest or transfer. He said that one doctor had time set aside to just do procedures so that time could be spent unrushed during the most important steps. It so happened that since we started 5 weeks later that he did my scans and procedures. Yes the nurses did call with my results and Dr Couchman did my pregnancy ultrasound. Dr Meyer did email me back within two hours. It wasn't a long reply but it was to the point. I can only imagine that this happens a hundred times to the doctors each day so I was just happy to get a fast reply. I also think that Mary who put me to sleep was very involved and gave good instructions for my progesterone. I liked how Carolina Conceptions worked as a team. I think Dr Meyer was nice, I appreciate his attempts to make me smile and relax but I agree he did not go over things mulitple times. In fact one time he told me to write what he was saying down so that I could look at it later. Not any hand holding but I could tell he cared and wanted me to get the best care. I would say he was genuine, not a fake, just not overly emotional.

My experience with Carolina Conceptions was stressful and disappointing. During my consultation my husband and I were treated extremely well by Dr. Myer and his staff, but once we paid our money to start our IVF treatment things got bad really quickly. You will see less of Dr. Myer and more of the nurses and Dr. Park once your treatment begins. Forget about asking questions outside of the rushed office visit because you are always transfered to a nurses line, and return calls take forever. During the visit or over the phone you are made to feel like you are a nuisance. Their is a black financial counselor named Angela and she is a nightmare. Very rude and dominating. She was very mean to us when we asked about insurance coverage, because she did not want to submit the paperwork! Turns out our insurance company covered some of our expenses when she claimed they wouldn't. We got pregnant with Carolina Conceptions, however I later miscarried. Dealing with them during that process was painful. I was charged for calling the doctor after hours. Dr. Myer was impatient with me when I started experiencing complications. He did not give recommendations on what was causing the change in my pregnancy and said we had poor egg quality - which he did not mention before. After my miscarriage he did not want to have a follow-up visit with me and recommended that I jump right into another round of IVF. Overall, Dr. Myer appears to be a good doctor at the beginning of treatment, but that all goes down hill quickly once payment is made. Oh and don't fall for the offer he gives to email him anytime. Once you've paid for IVF his email responses are usual one-two words at most. As a result, he doesn't give explanations and your question does unanswered - which causes additional stress. If you live in the Raleigh/Durham area, I'd recommend contacting Dr. Couchman - the female doctor at Carolina Conceptions. She appears nice, but then again, her behavior might change once you pay your money

After 3 years of peeing on a stick to determine our best time I finally gave up. Testing at Carolina Conceptions was pretty quick, targeted and to the point. All testing came up normal which was frustrating but reassuring. We then did two months of injections of Gonal and Antagon and still failed. Finally we had a positive test when we added artificial insemination. We did not do it earlier because insurance would not pay for it, although it was recommended by my doctor. Overall I felt we were well taken care of. The insemination was a little unnerving for my husband but since it occurred on a weekend he was able to stay at the office with me. The doctor did the procedure and was very thorough in confirming who me and my husband were and then he explained every step he was doing. Although I am pregnant I am still a little concerned about having twins because my first pregnancy test was a little high. Still we knew that one out of four pregnancies with the shots have twins. Will post later the results of my ultrasound. We were a little disappointed that they did not do pregnancy ones on the weekend. Oh well, we are too happy to fret too much

Mixed review here. I was a patient of CC for a while (I succeeded in a pregnancy from there), and I witnessed this practice grow and change over the years. Overall, I think they are a skilled team, you will have little wait time, and they are pretty responsive to patient calls/issues. However, as the practice has grown, most of the monitoring and interaction is now with the nurses, not doctors, and it is difficult to have input to customize your treatment. They now put you on standard protocols, which I didn't feel were tailored to my situation and history. It's become more like a mill. I also was particularly disappointed with Dr. Park. He is the junior RE, and it seems he is being trained to handle more of the caseload to free up Drs. Meyer and Couchman, so patients will now encounter him the most. He lacked bedside manner and was somewhat obstructive in my treatment, insisting on unnecessary tests, consultations and procedures, causing further delays, etc. He also crossed the line, in my opinion, in telling me what to do with my treatment rather than merely helping ME to make an informed decision. Dr. Park has a lot to learn, in my opinion, on what his role is in working with a patient. Unfortunately, I was happier with CC before they grew their practice so much and started offloading cases onto Dr. Park. Drs. Meyer and Couchman are top-notch, but you will now get little attention from them, so be forewarned of this change in the practice. I have moved to a new practice as a result.

Both of my ovaries were discovered to have large collections of endometriosis in them. My other doctor said this was places where I had ovulated. My husband also had low sperm count. Pain resolved after out patient surgery of 2 hours and then we did two IVF cycles . I got pregnant in first but had miscarriage. Then after putting back two embryos I have twins. We were very satisfied with the approach of all the nurses and doctors. Although we came from out of town we felt like we resided in Raleigh. Nurses are great in phone calls and doctors call when appropriate and necessary.

We were a difficult case. My husband was referred to Dr. Shaban and he was also wonderful. I went through 3 IVF cycles and 1 canceled cycle before success. I also turned 40 during this process and had never had children. I saw all of the doctors in the office and they all were prepared to discuss my case. I was impressed they thought out of the box with my treatment and tried new things. I was definitely not a number. Our care was personalized. All of the doctors and nurses answered endless questions and were quick to return phone calls and emails. This was unlike any other medical office I had encountered. The embryologist team is wonderful. They also answered many questions and returned emails. I was able to get appointments easily and the insurance team did a fantastic job. CC was recommended by my OB, but I did my research before the first appointment. I knew going in they had the credentials. After the first meeting, I told my husband if these people cannot make it happen then it cannot be done. I would highly recommend CC and offer my prayers for all you searching for infertility care. It is not an easy road, but this team will do their best to get you there. We are so fortunate to have the best right here in Raleigh!

Coming from Fort Bragg I was so comforted to see that this clinic gave us a big discount since I was a soldier. I did not know until I talked to the doctor about the costs. The finance lady explained it well to us. My wife was so thrilled. We will need invitro so it was a big savings.

When I was referred to Carolina Conceptions in early 2009, I was the
40-year-old mother of a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old. My new husband,
who was 31, had no children and we desperately wanted to expand our family
although we knew of the challenges ahead of us.

I saw Dr. Park on my first visit and immediately felt that I had known him
my entire life. (In fact, the entire practice staff had the "vibe" of
friendliness that I had not experienced in any doctor's office
previously.) Dr. Park was encouraging but did not sugar coat my situation.
I had undergone a tubal ligation in 1993 and had just had that procedure
reversed, which lessened the likelihood of my becoming pregnant. I was
over 40. I had experienced previous miscarriages. But, he said, he was
willing to work just as hard as we were to meet my goal of giving birth to
a child before my 42nd birthday.

I would like to report that there were no "glitches" but that is not
always the way life works. I had another miscarriage after which Dr. Park
did some tests and recommended a fibroid removal, a major surgery, which
would require a period of healing that would cost us valuable time. After
that surgery, and a couple of months of fertility shots, I experienced yet
another miscarriage and wanted to give up. But, Dr. Park's encouragement
kept me going. He reminded me that he would work his hardest, but that we
would have to work just as hard, maybe harder!! We decided to continue
with the shots and to keep trying. (I must also admit that I am very "Type A" and high strung... Dr. Park always took the time to answer my multiple calls and emails in an expedient manner!!) During this period of time we also saw
Dr. Meyer, who was every bit as warm and caring as Dr. Park, and who
encouraged us to keep trying if that is what we wanted to do.

We are ecstatic to report that we are now the proud parents of TWINS, a
beautiful boy and a girl who were born three weeks before my 42nd
birthday!
Words cannot express our gratitude to Dr. Park, and also to Dr. Meyer and
the entire staff who treated us not like patients, but like family.

I do highly recommend Carolina Conceptins. They know what they are doing. You just need to trust them - but also stick with what you feel is right. I have a very healthy baby.
I always felt very welcomed and felt their was always open lines of communication. I really like Dr. Meyer. He is very quick to respond to emails and very consoling. I will tell you being on fertility medicine will put you on an emotional rolleroaster. Do your best to relax and not be anxious. Try to do some relaxing exercises. Give Carolina Conceptions a try. - Signed a Very Happy Mom

Jim(not our real names) and my experience with egg donor/recipiency has been great. The nurse Michelle has taken a lot of time matching us to a great match. We saw her in a photo and had a lot of time to discuss things with the staff and financially it was the best price in North Carolina. We have started our hormone patches. Each day of monitoring Michele tells us how the donor is doing. Our concerns are no longer. We are excited and are quite certain it will succeed.

I am a physician myself so I have knowledge of the medical arena and an idea of patient satisfaction. We were "dismissed" from this clinic after I had legitimate questions concerning some of the expensive tests they were ordering and that we already had results for. In addition, we found them to be unorganized and quite "cold" to deal with. Dr. Park could use a dose of charisma. We were extremely insulted to be told that this clinic was "not a good fit" for us. They cost us over $2000 and delayed are quest for a child and without any good reason. It is absolutely outrageous how we were treated.

I am a former patient of Carolina Conceptions. I have an almost one year old girl thanks to their patience and perseverance. This evening I attended a banquet sponsored by the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. I was totally blown away, but not surprised at seeing Dr Meyer and Couchman accept a Pinnacle award sponsored by First Citizen's Bank as the new business in the Triangle that most exemplifies EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. It was great to see the whole staff at dinner among 500 people from various businesses Congrats Carolina Conceptions. You had already won the award in my heart anyway

Carolina Conceptions helped make our dreams of a family come true. The doctors, nurses and staff were professional, friendly and accessible and walked us through every step of our infertility process, making it as painless as possible. They spent time with us, answered our questions, and helped us through every appointment, procedure, ultrasound and blood draw. We felt welcomed into their office and comforted by each person with whom we came into contact. We will be forever grateful for their service and expertise.

I would highly recommend Carolina Conceptions to anyone and everyone! There are absolutely no cons about CC.
Everyone at CC was very professional. They have a great location and hours. The wait time for your appointments is the shortest ever...I never waited longer than 5 minutes.
All of the nurses are nice, extremely helpful, and very informative.

The doctors are all very compassionate, genuine, and very caring about patients concerns.
Dr. Meyer is very quick to respond to any and all questions and he has a WONDERFUL personality and sense of humor.
Dr. Park explains everything in great detail and is a great doctor.
All 3 doctors at CC do everything they can to make the IVF process go as smooth as possible.
The team approach works very well! The doctors respond very quickly to on call pages

My wife and I, after years of trying, had considered that childbirth was probably beyond us. We decided to continue trying and got involved with Carolina Conceptions. All the issues we wrestled with a year ago seem surreal and distant because our baby??s now a week old. This has been a wonderful experience for my family.

We had visited other clinics and most providers seemed more interested in our compliance with their own marketing and educational programs than with any particular concern for my family. Carolina Conceptions was different and was concerned with informing us and allowing us to direct treatment. When it came to treating our family as their primary concern, Carolina Conceptions stood alone. I use to wish there were thousands of clinics like Carolina Conceptions because the people and facilities are top notch, but I overestimated because we really only needed one.

It is with humble appreciation that I consider how Dr. Couchman, Dr Meyers and Dr. Parks contributed to our family??s growth. They exude confidence and professionalism with talented experts who are aware of their capabilities. I could go on, but time is precious when the baby??s fallen asleep. I don??t remember what exactly I was worried about a year ago because my ideas have been wiped away by a strong sense of what??s important, and he??s sleeping now.

My husband and I moved from Boston to Raleigh and wanted to expand our family. We went through IVF with our first child in Boston and had a good experience, but the care we received at Carolina Conceptions was Outstanding! The nurses, doctors, front office, and lab personnel were all cheering us on. They would go out of their way to say hello and ask if we had any questions. Dr. Meyer was readily available in person via phone or email to answer my questions. The nurses responded to each of my many calls! I was so nervous the day of our egg retrieval, but the outstanding care and hugs that we received will always be a part of my experience there! They truly go the extra mile and provide personalized care. This is far different from most IVF centers!

This is a tremendous place. I am going through treatment at Conceptions. I ended up doing Bravelle shots and timed intercourse. All the doctors were terrific. I had already done clomid by the time I had my first consult so all the choices were explained to me. Blue Cross would not cover inseminations so we can??t do. My physician explained to me the benefits and risk of trying Femara, Bravelle with and without IUI> the costs were well outlined by a counselor. I had a nurse for one ultrasound and the doctor for two of them. My estrogen was drawn there in lab and all my questions were answered. Unfortunately my first cycle did not work but my doctor called me and he made a suggestion on how to improve the chances. I know that at best the chances are only one in ten per month, but from looking on internet, this is what is usually seen in most clinics. I will do for three total cycles and then if not pregnant, regroup, and consider using their IVF program which seems really good, or take a break for several months. The process is discouraging but my care couldn??t be better.

I was a patient at CC for nearly one year. After 2 cycles of injectable meds followed by 3 cycles of IUI, we decided to seek treatment elsewhere. We did this not because we were not successful but because we felt like we were not being taken care of. During those 3 IUI attempts, I did not speak to a doctor at all, except when Dr.Park called to tell me my pregnancy test was negative. The nurse did the ultrasounds, inseminations and blood draws. I was a patient of Dr.Couchman's but I we saw her only a couple of times. We were never given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss our treatment cycle with any of the doctors. With IUI, timing is everything and they never asked any questions of us to determine if there were any adjustments that needed to be made to our treatment regimen. We recently switched to UNC Fertility and have been happy so far. Carolina Conceptions seems to be in the business of making money rather than actually caring. This was really disappointing as Dr.Couchman and Carolina Conceptions came highly recommended to us by a family member and my OB-GYN. I would never consider seeking treatment there.

Dr Cooper recommended Carolina Conceptions. I had real bad PCO and we got pregnant with IVF since insemination did not work. They were great. we had a nursing teaching class and did all but the egg retrieval on one visit.

If you live in the Triangle, may be even in North Carolina, based on their success rates and quality care, why go else where? I was drawn to their IVF success rates that now top the local competition

I have been a patient of CC for almost 2 years. After unsuccessful IUIs, we finally turned to IVF. Our second IVF was a success, and I am now happily and thankfully pregnant at age 39! It has been a long journey to reach this moment, but the doctors and staff at CC have been with me every step of the way. Dr. Couchman is my primary RE and she is absolutely wonderful. I have also been extremely pleased with Dr. Meyer, Dr. Park and the embryologist team. I've worked with just about everyone at CC, and they're all very professional and highly skilled. Forever grateful to CC, I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I am 40 years old, with a history of cysts and two Endometrial Polyps that both had to be surgically removed. My husband was completely fine. I tried for seven years (though I did punk out for one full year) to get pregnant with no luck. I went thru hormone supplements, and tried Clomid for a year. I tried herbal supplements and acupuncture (not through Carolina Conceptions) and all were unsuccessful. My body was put through all possible systems of therapies for natural conception and none of them were successful for me. A little over three years ago, I was referred to Dr. Bill Meyer by my primary care physician. Dr. Meyer and the Carolina Conception Team will forever be considered not only my fertility specialists but members of my family as well. Dr. Meyer??s first approach was to conduct a battery of tests to determine the best course of action and to assess all obstacles that prevented me from naturally conceiving. He proposed IVF as a viable option. What I especially appreciated about Dr. Meyer??s approach was his candid and straight forward delivery and his clear expectation that we are a team throughout this process. Basically, I would have to do my part and he promised to do his. One memory that I am always present to, was when I just stopped going to Dr. Meyer for one full year. I told myself that this was just too hard, but the truth was I was just not willing to do the work necessary or to be patient. When I returned, I was greeted by familiar faces (which speaks to the staff retention), great big hugs and a compassionate conversation with Dr. Meyer. He just looked me in my eyes and said, are you okay and are you ready to get back to work.

Let??s address knowledge and success at Carolina Conception based on my stats. A woman of my age, with my medical history, and egg transfer ration has a 1 in an 8000 chance of getting pregnant. Well here I am, 16 weeks pregnant with quads. So to couples who are looking for a facility that will make it happen. . .you have found it at Carolina Conceptions. You bring your faith or what ever empowers and drives you to think and feel encouraged. They will bring overwhelming scientific knowledge, medical expertise, straight forward communication, a proven process that works, and a team of staff members who operate from a space of not just ??this is my job? but this is ??where I want to be?. You will choose whatever facility you choose, but if my 1 in an 8000 chance miracle could speak, all four of them would tell you to choose the best, Carolina Conceptions.

I sincerely wish everyone the best of luck, strong endurance, and much success.

I was not an aggressive patient. I felt that if I had been an iui or in vitro patient, I would have been taken more serious by the staff/doctors. I guess my analogy is like a real estate agent: Who are you going to spend more time with? A buyer with a 3 million dollar budget or 200 thousand dollar budget. Nonetheless, I felt I was not given the time that other patients are given according to my nonaggressive treatment. I had a friend who felt she was at a used car dealership. She was told the only option was invitro. She got pregnant 2 months later naturally. ????

I can be a very difficult person and patient. Ask my husband, and now you can ask Carolina Conceptions. I probably taxed the heck out of Dr Meyer and his staff. But I must say that he/they responded to all of my questions promptly, honestly, and respectfully. Dr Meyer got his digs in that I was going a little overboard, but he did it in such a humorous way that I had to laugh and that just relaxed me. I never thought we would get pregnant and that probably contributed to my negative attitude. If they could deal with me, they can deal with most anyone. Now when I return to my ob next week she will see a different person than she remembered from before.

Communication is terrible, instructions are even worse, doctors are condescending and dismissive and staff seems as though they have guns to their heads that patients can't see. The right hand there doesn't even know there is a left hand. Two weeks into our drugs, they realized they forgot 2 major procedures that should have been done before drugs. Actual drugs don't match up to the list of drugs they give you and to top it all off after having over 10 perfect day 3, 8 cell, non fragmented embryos we went in for transfer day 5 and they sit us down and say, "oh, you didn't get the message to call us? Well none of your embryos made it, sorry, we've never seen this before, the only thing we can conclude is that your eggs are bad and we don't recommend trying again." We left in tears and heartbreak, and never even got a call or a note or anything afterwards.
