Great personal service

by Kelly C. | insider Insider | Rank: 17,098

My husband and I recently ate here to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent. I currently have a limited diet due to food intolerances, and the chef was willing and able to make modifications to the recipes so I could enjoy them. We'll be back!

Stunning

by Amy C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,197

We've had dinner at Mura twice and have enjoyed the food both times. The sushi was superb and the staff was able to have the chef modify a dish for my young son. The decor is absolutely beautiful; one certainly feels as though (s)he should be dressed to dine there. Even the bathrooms are cool! The prices are much higher than our routine dining out budget will allow for, at least on a consistent basis; but for special times, Mura is a great choice. It is located at North Hills Mall, too, which offers much high scale shopping and strolling.

Best dining experience yet

by Karim _. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 12,141

Wow Mura restaurant provided the best dinner, service and ambience of any restaurant I've eaten at in NC. We ate in a private room that was isolated from the rest of the restaurant using traditional Japanese paper walls. Once we got in the room we had our own table that was recessed into the floor so we would have seating, but still get the feel of sitting on the floor and eating food in the traditional Japanese way. Eating in this room will cost you and extra 20% in gratuity but it is worth it if you want a really unique, special dining experience unlike anything you've had before.

Our service from the waiter was also amazing. He was honest and well informed in his recommendations and did not bother us excessively during our meal, but was available whenever we needed anything.

And the food... Wow!!! It was soooo delicious. The chef prepared it perfectly, not a second overdone or under cooked. Each bite was a delectable and memorable experience. The vegetables were so fresh and the presentation and colors of the meal were phenomenal . It was like something you would see on TV.

I would definitely recommend this place if you want a special dining experience. However, be prepared to drop around $70 for a meal for two people. This includes the gratuity. But this is still expensive considering we did not have wine or any dessert.

Forget about the "Buy 1, get second one at 1/2 price" deal

by EnjoysGreatFood

The first time I went there, I was given a table in a dark area; I asked about being seated outside, but they did not want to do that, in spite of the fact that they could have combined 2 adjacent tables for a party of 4. I guess no big deal.

I went there recently (second time) and was trying to take advantage of their buy one, get the second one at 1/2 price deal. We ordered many $13/$11 suschi orders, and several orders at the $5/$4 level. I was expecting that if you bought a $13 suschi order, they would give you the next lowest one ($11) at 1/2 the price. Guess what? The cheapest one, at $4, was the one where the discount applied. This was clearly not explained to us in this way when we ordered! I don't mind paying for good food, but I don't like to feel cheated at the end. Would our party have assumed differently, we would have ordered differently. I would not have minded either being being told upfront how the deal worked. When the issue was brought up, they did not offer to review the discounts. This is deceptive

Given that my first two experiences left me with a bad taste, I do not plan to go back - there are many other good restaurants in the area.

Pros: The food is good

Cons: The free deals are deceptive!

Great Food, Great Service!

by lkws

I dined for the first time at Mura just last week. The food was amazing, and the plates were beautifully designed with carrot butterflies, and flower tomatoes. The server was attentive and knowledgable. Overall, I had a great experience and will be back.

Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere

Good sushi joint

by YungN

I am very picky about sushi and have had bad experiences elsewhere. I was happy to find a new place for good sushi. Fresh fish is good here, and the sake list was more than most carry. The Can sake was the best I've ever had, if you like cold sakes you have to try it. I did have to wait to be seated at the sushi bar, which should be first come first serve, Besides that was great all around.

Pros: Knowledgeable servers, nice atmosphere, great food

Cons: Can't sit down at sushi bar without hostess

Great place for sake and sushi

by alliedee

Mura is one of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh. They have fantastic sushi that always seems to be really fresh. Recently they changed up their sake menu as well, everything seems to be much more affordable and delicious! The servers are always very helpful at recomending great dishes and beverages.

Pros: Helpful servers, great atmosphere, awesome sake

Love This Place

by Parlay

I've been a regular at Mura for quite sometime now and can't get enough. Well now they offer a bunch of new martinis and have lowered the prices of them which is always nice. Also they have a great new sake list with better desriptions and the servers are always happy to explain them in more detail. I also like the lounge area, its always nice to have the server remember me and what i like to drink. Keep up the good work!

Pros: Knowledgeable waitstaff, great food

Great Sushi

by lm8306

I have been a regular diner at Mura for a little over a year now but recently decided to have lunch there with a few collegues. A few were out of town guests that were not too familiar with sushi. Our server walked us through the entire lunch menu and made recommendations to suit everyone's tastes. The Screaming O Roll is a must as well as the Sushi Bento Box. I definintely recommend it for a quiet business lunch.

Pros: Artistic presentation, knowledgeable staff

always awesome

by apato

I have been eating here for a long time and the presentations have been getting prettier and prettier. The sushi always looks like artwork and the service is awesome. We went with a party of 8 and they had the automatic gratuity but that's the same pretty much wherever you go if it's a nice place. It's always worth it!

Pros: nice atmosphere, awesome presentation

Awesome sushi. Great service

by m15t3ry

Best sushi I've experinced in ten states and counting.
The Screaming O and Hurricane rolls are awesome.
I never knew I loved Sake until Mura's extensive Sake menu blew me away. I've never had bad service, and only feel bad that it took me this long to post this review.

Pros: Best sushi in Raleigh. Hands down.

Cons: Very popular. Reservations are a must.

Start Earning It

by arm5280

I have been to Mura at least Six times. They have good Sushi not the best in town by any stretch but great atmosphere accounts for a lot. Recently I went with a group of six, which entitles them to an auto 20% gratuity. I am usually a 25-30% guy WHEN EARNED. I think the fact that it was known it would be added regardless spoke to the server who was LAZY, absent, and slow. I may return and if I do and it is with a group I will insist on Grat not be auto added.

Pros: Great Sushi

Cons: Auto gratuity taken for granted

Awesome hot spot

by RBeoulve

I've been coming here since they opened, and the place never disapppoints. The rolls are awesome, and the newer additions keep it fresh. I'm sorry but the Hurricane roll is amazing. I know it's not old school sushi but I don't care- it's ridiculously good stuff. They have enough to offer people who don't eat sushi regularly, which is nice. I myself like all the hardcore raw goods but it's tough to get my parents and some friends on board. The new selections make it easy to keep almost everyone happy. Our family has grown since they opened the doors, so I would like to ask the management to consider something for the kids. Servers are great at finding kid-friendly sides like french fries, but my kid won't touch most of what we eat and maybe some kid's selections would go a long way. Love the new beers by the way- keep up the good work.

Pros: Great rolls

Cons: Need child's menu

fallen off

by cackalacky7

Sure it's beautiful, but you can't eat atmosphere. I have been coming here for years and it is a great bar scene on Fri/Sat nights. But for lunch any day of the week, it is just ok. The service is slow and not particularly attentive. The sushi is sometimes made messily, even during non-peak times. But the thing that irks me is how often the tables feel icky or sticky even though they have been wiped down. Does not inspire confidence. That said, the food is good, but not wow.

Pros: location, decor

Cons: service, cleanliness

Artistic Food and Excellent Service!

by lrcjwl3

I eat at Mura on a regular basis, and believe that I have been waited on by almost every server available. Each and every server is extremely attentive, and knowledgeable about what the restaurant has to offer. Visit the lounge/sushi bar for a cool, and casual atmosphere, or the dining room for a more intimate feel. The food is absolutely outstanding. Last visit, I had the hard rock, and the piano roll. The sushi plate was a beautiful work of art, decorated with carrot butterflies; each piece of the roll placed perfectly to display true beauty. I have also had food from the hot kitchen. The Seabass is amazingly flavorful, and finished with a tomato flower. I have to say every time I visit Mura is especially unique, and truly a wonderful dinner. Come to Mura if you would like a relaxed, and flavorful dinner.

Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere

Cons: none i can think of

Great Food but terrible service

by cbcreative

I've been going to Mura for years. Great food, but it comes at a price! Not only have they raised their prices across the board, the people get less friendly every time I go. The overall service is NOT where it once was. It takes forever to get your food. You can't have lunch there anymore if you only have an hour! :( If you have a party of four or larger you will be there for hours. Sadly the negative out way the pros. It's just not worth it anymore.... there are so many great places to dine! Pick another!

Pros: Food

Cons: Service & Price

Average Sushi, Great Drinks, Great Dessert

by orenishii

If you are looking for a place to hang out for drinks and dessert with friends, Mura has a good location. I went with a friend for sushi, which was decent, but average (I had the dragon roll). The waitress we had tonight was very nice, and the speed of service was fine. The miso soup was good, though I didn't like the seaweed, it was a bit slimy, which it shouldn't be. My friends salad with ginger dressing had more of a honey mustard/creamy flavour (I prefer a more traditional ginger dressing). The Asian Pear Cocktail though was Very yummy - it tasted like a sweet pear, not too sweet, and not overpowered by alcohol. The milkyway layered cake was also SO good and the presentation was lovely, but definitely good to split since it was a large piece. The prices were a bit high for the quality of the food, but fine for the drinks and dessert - and you are paying for the atmosphere too. I would recommend Mura for a drinks and dessert hangout, though maybe not for dinner - though I would most likely still get a sushi roll :)

Pros: Yummy Drinks and Dessert

Great service, excellent cocktails, average food

by katharine323

This was my first visit to Mura, and I was quite pleased. The service was exceptional, and our server was able to offer excellent suggestions when asked her opinion. They have an excellent Asian Pear cocktail - wow! A friend and I came for sushi, which we had, but weren't too impressed with the rolls. The presentation was lovely, but nothing exceptional as far as the quality and originality of the sushi. Not the best sushi in town, but I certainly was not disappointed. I would definitely be interested in coming back and trying some of the large dinner plates. Mura has an excellent looking menu. The atmosphere was eclectic and unique. The dimly lit lounge and bar are quite trendy and comfortable. This is certainly a great place to go after work with friends, on a date, or to take out of town guests to.

Pros: Very trendy atmosphere, excellent service, and creative cocktails

Just a average Japanese restaurant in a nicely decorated place.

by mparka

I used to come here alot back in the days but I've noticed that it's not what it used to be. It can be good at times but also just as bad. This place has got so inconsistant over time. It's got to a point where I kind of bite my nails waiting for the food and I shouldn't be doing that when I'm paying this much money. When your at a restaurant of this calibur and price, I should be getting good food all the time. If not atleast an apology, not a arguement saying everything is normal. It wasnt that bad...but I mine as well go to the cheaper joints for the food I get sometimes. I used to come here frequently but lately I ask my self it this worth the money?...and I honestly don't think so. I don't want a crappy plate of food every other time I dine here. But I see they stay busy most of the time...so there are people who enjoy them selves here. I'm just not one of them....I don't think the ambience can make up for the average food at high prices.

Pros: atmosphere is good...nice looking restaurant

Cons: inconsistant food at too high of a price

Unique experience

by yarpo

I've lived in the triangle for years, and this has been a constant favorite. I love the variety of items on their menu, and think their atmosphere is one of the best. There was live music the last time I went, and the atmosphere is definitely cozier with the guitar player they booked than the jazz-type music that they normally have. Food was great, pretty much always is. The new rolls are pretty interesting albeit unconventional. One had potato wrapped around it and deep-fried. Was not what I would typically expect in a sushi place, but was delicious nonetheless. I will say that parking in the mall was a pain, but it is the holiday season so I guess it's OK. Definitely recommended.

Pros: Warm atmosphere

Cons: Parking at North Hills

Good looking restaurant, below average food

by kmng

I've been dining here since 3 years ago and I have to say the food quality has been going down hill since a while back. I used to rave and recommend this place to people even just a year back. The restaurant is beautiful and is at a prime location..maybe that's why they are still busy. But when your food gets inconsistant, serves fishy yellowtail, and rolls that sometimes look messy(at slow hours), you start to think they really don't care. I ordered nigiri sushi from them and I think two of the chefs made them. When I got the sushi I noticed that some of the sushi was pressed so hard it tastes like rice cake and the rest were falling apart. I also know better then to bother with their arrogant managers. This place is the most expensive sushi restaurant in the triangle but they are now serving mediocre sushi that is comparable to shaba shabu, shiki sushi, wasabi bistro, and many other below average sushi joints. Atleast some of the others are not too expensive. I just noticed they also raised most of their prices. I don't mind paying extra to dine at a fancy restaurant but the food better be worth it. I live near by and visit northhills often so it's a shame but I'll just have to make the trip to my other regular sushi joints.

Pros: Nice ambience and design at a prime location

Cons: food not worth the money

Awesome place

by Sarahmonkee

A restaurant with too much alcohol in their drinks and waiters who actually attend to you? Where do I sign up!?! I eat at Mura all the time and have never had a bad experience. I too went last Friday- there were super busy even with the fair in town, not "empty". I had the Screaming O and a Crunchy Salmon roll and they were both awesome. My carrot was cut like a butterfly and my husbands volcano roll looked like, well- a volcano. Our waiter was named Lauren, and she was one of the friendliest I have ever had. It's true there was a wait but only maybe twenty minutes or so to get sat, during which I had a peach martini which was also delicious. Normally I would not respond to somebody hating on a restaurant but I don't see how we could both be in the same place and read such a hateful review. Go Mura! Still my favorite sushi place!

Pros: Best sushi

Cons: Took my favorite wine off the menu :(

mediocre sushi, poor service

by foodiegirl26

I was really excited to go here. I love Japanese food and had found this place online, highly recommended. I made a reservation online, but upon getting there and despite it being empty and slow for a Friday night, the hostesses had trouble seating us. The servers actually kept coming up to our table to the point of annoyance. The sushi was okay, no artistic presentation in the actual rolls, just a garnish to distract you. My soup was way too salty - I don't know how you can mess up miso soup. I couldn't even eat it and neither could my boyfriend. The drinks were also reminiscent of a cheap college bar where they just add extra liquor to get you drunk, not exactly romantic, for me anyway. It seemed to be run by college kids who have never worked in a restaurant before, completely disappointing and took away from what could otherwise have beena cool new hotspot.

Pros: convenient location

Cons: everything else

Best Sushi in the Traingle

by bosoxfan25

Mura's dining experience is top notch. The dining room's decor is inviting and tasteful, but if you like a more "public" dining experience, the lounge and sushi bar are great places to sit as well. The sushi was fantastic. I highly recommend the piano roll for avocado lovers and the surf and turf roll is a personal favorite that boasts a sliver of steak across the top of each piece. The service is always prompt, friendly and courteous. By far one of the best dining experiences in Raleigh and THE best sushi in Raleigh.

Pros: great environment, great food, friendly people. Great location at North Hills plaza

Cons: none to think of

Great Sushi

by MtnMedic

My friends took my out to dinner for my birthday and I must say that it was an awesome gift. The sushi and wasabi (not the paste) were very good and moderately priced. They have a wide selection of sushi and non-sushi items on the menu. My wife enjoyed a teriyaki chicken salad while the rest of us dove into a beautiful kane boat. Everything was great. The service was professional and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is warm and would suit any occasion. On the way in I noticed that they do have a nice sized bar and lounge area with a large sushi bar. I will definitely be going back.

Pros: Fresh sushi, knowledgeable staff

Cons: Parking at North Hills

Busy for a reason!

by NCtaxman27615

This place rocked!!! Finally got to go with some friends who have been raving about this place. We sat in the lounge area and I was surprised to see how many wonderful things were on their menu. I just thought it was a little sushi joint, but it's not. This place has everything from sushi to Kobe beef. The waiter suggested the screaming "O" Roll and Piano roll since all I wanted was sushi and both were excellent. Definitely want to try some of the non sushi items on the menu next time. Can't wait to go back. Make sure to call ahead if you have a large party. The place was pretty busy and we did have a bit of a wait before we sat. Make sure to ask for the fresh wasabi!!!

Pros: Real wasabi

Cons: parking

Horrible food and service; Expensive, bad sushi

by Yvett

I've never felt strongly enough to write a restaurant review before but I want to warn people how awful Mura is. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the Spider roll that came with my sushi/roll combo. It had 2 1" long bits of soft shell crab in the whole roll (sticking out the ends) and these bits had almost triple the amount of tempura proportionate to the soft shell crab. The rest of the roll had the fake crab stuff. Definitely not an improvement on the traditional Spider roll. The sashimi pieces were large, but one was old - not worth $25!!!

I went with friends on a Monday night and even though it was almost empty it took us 2 1/2 hours to complete our meal consisting of salads and entrees. The waiter would disappear for 30 minutes at a time and was so slow bringing out extra salad dressing for 1 party and eel sauce for the entree for another that both parties finished their plates before he returned. It was also stifling hot and despite telling us he was going to turn up the air conditioning in our room, he never did.

Cons: Expensive, bad sushi

Good sushi, nice decor, great service

by MuffinFace

I just ate at Mura with a friend. The decor is nice. The hostess was somewhat unfriendly. I had the Mura roll and my friend had the O roll. Both were great. I also had the miso soup, which was just ok. Our server was super, Tyler. He was very helpful and gave us some great suggestions. Overall, I liked it, but is not my favorite sushi place in raleigh.

Pros: Good variety

Cons: Crappy hostess -- but maybe she was having a bad day.

Mura - busy place, for a reason

by nraleighfan

I read the other two reviews, and I can't disagree more. I was also at the sushi event at Mura, and because the line was long, I didn't get any sushi, but when I told the servers about it, they offered me a gift card, refunding all my money for my trouble.
It gets busy there, I'll agree, but all those people are not there because they enjoy bad service. I have never had a negative experience there, although for a wait, at times. And when I did have any issues, I asked to speak to a manager, and he was on point. I have been to the other sushi restaurants in the area, and I must say that the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is kinda cool. The food is the best, and I've seen other restaurants try to copy their rolls and such, but I keep going back...
Actually, bitter people, or people who don't know to speak to management about issues shouldn't go out to eat, and stay home, if only to make the wait a little shorter for the rest of us... Mura - you guys rock... keep up the good work!

Service is so bad you can't even enjoy the sushi

by ecu123

"So what if you have good sushi, is it worth it if you are treated poorly as a customer? Mura has a nice atmosphere and pretty good sushi, but their hostesses and wait staff are snobby and rude. I keep going back hoping to have a better experience than the last, but each time I return I am more disappointed than before. I think I am going to give up on this place changing. There are just as good places around to get sushi that do not make you feel inadequate (Shiki and Akashi in Durham, Sono in Raleigh which ironically is owned by Mura but they seem to be a bit nicer). Mura needs to learn how to treat their customers with respect and realize customers are a big portion what makes their business a success. "

I second this review. I absolutely love the "o" roll, and I used to frequent Mura since I lived very close to it, but I always noticed that the service was never up to par. Something would always happen-rude hostesses, unattentive and/or rude wait staff, sushi rolls coming out wrong (A huge deal if you are allergic to shellfish and asking for salmon instead of the crab in a roll-this could have been very bad if we hadn't spotted it-and it happened on two different occasions!!)....As much as I love sushi, bad service ruins a good meal. I'll actually drive 20 minutes out of the way to get sushi elsewhere from now on-i'm done going to Mura only to be treated like I'm lucky to be eating there. Also-don't go to the sushi tastings that Mura puts on-that was the last straw. Anyone who went will tell you that it was THE MOST unorganized event that they've ever been to.

Pros: O Roll, close to my house

Cons: Terrible service will ruin your meal

Totemo oishi sushi!

by packrat537

Loved the food and the knowledgeable and attentive personnel. Would most definitely recommend the seafood salad and any of the maki rolls. Ask for the home made wasabi. It's a little extra, but well worth it. I doubt there is another restaurant in the area that offers this alternative to the pea-grean horseradish paste that usually accompanies sushi. The quiet and subdued atmosphere inside the restaurant was a welcome contrast to the pace of the North Hills shopping center where the restaurant is located. Will certainly visit this wonderful spot again.

Pros: Sushi is fresh and authentic. Fresh wasabi!

Cons: Restaurant is located in a busy shopping center.

Nice Atmosphere, Snobby Service

by joshua7

LOVE the blue lights at the bar. Good food. Nice staff. BUT... try to reserve their tatami room and they act like THEY'RE doing YOU a favor. They demand a 20% tip (I thought tips were for good service after the fact!!), won't separate checks more than 4 times, then tell you you have an hour and a half time limit. Seems they take care of THEMSELVES, not the customer.

Pros: Ambience

Cons: Snobby owner, have THEIR best interests in mind (not the customer's)

If you like good quality sushi do not go here

by caseythetarheel

I'm sorry, but I am going to have to disagree with most of the reviews on here. I thought the sushi was below average at best. First of all, sushi should not come out less than 10 minutes after you order it. Maybe some people like that but I think it's a sign of pre-made rolls. The restaurant was busy yet our three rolls came out in less than 10 minutes. Plus, they were SMOTHERED in sauces. Sauces that were bland and uninventive. It seemed like they were trying to cover up the fact that their fish wasn't fresh. Speaking of the fish, there was barely any in or on the rolls. Our server barely spoke to us and when he did he would quickly turn away as if he was too busy to chat with us. I will never go back. If you want high quality sushi go to Waraji. It is by far the best sushi in Raleigh and puts Mura to shame when it comes to food and service.

Pros: trendy look and feel

Cons: food, service

best sushi

by carricassiopia

first - best sushi in raleigh. get the screaming o. the service there is great. bartenders and servers care about what you are getting and how much you enjoyed your evening. after reading a previous review about a management complaint- i would have to say i have had the opposite experience. they are more than accommodating and friendly and a disgruntled night at Mura is a one in a million chance. please go and enjoy their great food and service. a bad night is so rare i couldn't even imagine one! i highly recommend this place for a casual dinner or an excellent date!

Pros: the screaming o

Cons: closes early

When you have the sushi blues...

by ifyounim

I've been dinning at Mura for a couple of years, and I appsolutely love that place. They recently changed there GM & AGM and the attitude of the hole place has changed for the better. The food knowledge and the all around hustle of the staff and team work speaks for it's self! Keep up the good work guys. You have not lost me to Sono, see ya this weekend.

Pros: The screaming "O"

Cons: Wish I could eat more sushi

Terrible management, good sushi

by bestewart

I've been to Mura before and always had a good time. The last time I went, however, the wait time was ridiculous, the food was good (not great) and the manager was incredibly rude. We waited 2 hours to get a table (after being promised a 30-45 minute wait); once at the table it took over an hour for our food to arrive and then after our plates were cleared from the table it took another 45 minutes just to get our checks. Finally fed up, we complained to the manager and his attitude was "What do you want me to do about it? You waited too long to say something." He even had the nerve to say, "It's not normally like this. Go on Citysearch and read all the great reviews about us."

Bottom line: They need a new manager. I've worked in several restaurants and never seen anything like it.

Pros: piano roll, screaming-o

Cons: wait time, poor service, terrible manager

Best sushi and staff in town

by cusa

I recently had a craving for sushi and was told that Mura at Northhills was the best in town. There was a thirty minute wait which was fine, to me that confirmed what I had been told about there food. The hostess was very kind and I was told I would be seated A.S.A.P. I was taken to my table, very classy restaurant. The waiter arrived at the table and introduced his self. I was asked if I had ever dined at Mura before? My reply was no, It's my first time. Atutomatically He began to smile and said welcome and we'll take great care of you. He recommended a glass of red wine that was then delivered not by him, but the manager who also welcome me and gave me a couple of recommendations. The waiter returned and took my appetizer order. I got the edamame and was very impressed. For my second course was the screaming o and it was amazing! Before I could finish my sushi, the manager came to check on me again to make sure the that I was happy with the roll and the service, and ask If I had saved room for desert? I was really full but assured him that I would be back . I was so blown away by the attention to detail from the hostess, bartender, waiter, food and management. I read the most resent review and felt it did not do justice to the great service that they give. Some people just need to eat at home. I definitely will return and tell everyone I know about where to get the best sushi and service in Raleigh.

Pros: Great food and service

Cons: Didn't get to eat dessert :(

Best Sushi paired with Rude Service

by bhardman

To be honest, I really have mixed feelings about this place. They have hands down the best sushi I have ever eaten, specifically the Scream'n O, however this place majorly lacks class. I just had a really bad experience last time I went there. I simply wouldn't suggest taking someone there your trying to impress just in case you have to confront the waitor/manager with a problem. I ordered the scallops appitizer and they came out really chewey. I then told the waitress that they were not cooked right and i'd like to order something else. She sent the manager over and I re-told him the problem and he responds in a very snarley way, "well I mean what do you want ME to do about it. Our chefs are top notch and I have a hard time beleiveing they weren't cooked right." Arguing with the customer over a measly appitizer? Come on!

Then when my check was presented to me they charged me for both things. I asked if the manager could come back over b/c sureley there may have been a mistake. He proceeded to tell me, "I can't help it you didn't like it, I have a business to run".

Pros: Best Sushi Ever!

Cons: Rude manager

Great food, wonderful service

by mimi375

I've been to Mura quite a few times now and have always been happy...which is why I thought it was time to finally write about it and praise them! I sit at the bar or in the lounge area and always have a wonderful time with Deliah, Constatine and some of the others who are there all the time! These people know good food, and the servers are always helping when I bring someone new to pick out stuff....they also tell us about the things not on the menu, like the O roll or the real wasabi or their daily specials....The food is great, atmosphere is lovely and the few people who are there all the time are always such a pleasure. Deliah has told us that they are opening a new place downtown and I cannot wait since I work downtown! Now I'll have a weekly lunch spot!

Pros: food, service

Cons: none!

Nice ambience, okay food

by bob1958

My girlfriend and I have eaten here twice and both times were okay. The food was good but nothing really special. We both felt that the food and service at PF Changs is much better.

This past visit, we had asked for a to-go box and requested that they include some extra rice since we had already eaten most of the rice that was served with our meal. PF Changs does this without hesitation. Our waiter at Mura's said he would see what he could do but in the end, no rice was provided. I doubt we'll be back to dine there again.

Pros: Nice ambience, okay food

Cons: Disappointing service

Every year in our aniversary we try a diferent place, this time we choose Mura and was a great experience. Fair prices for the service and food. Great tuna stake, sushi one of the best I ever tried. Excelent wines and desserts. The whole experience was owesome. I highly recommeded.
